- The Shiunji Family Children (紫雲寺家の子供たち/Shiunji-ke no Kodomo-tachi) is a manga by Reiji Miyajima, the author of Rent-A-Girlfriend (彼女、お借りします/Kanojo, Okarishimasu) that publishes in the Seinen magazine Young Animal. It is easily one of the worst manga that I've ever read, and it's possibly the reason Rent-A-Girlfriend fell off.

1:11 in his paltry defense (and in any other case I’d be against this) but apparently the AI he used to make had pic was trained on his own work.
Which I feel is a good use of AI. If mangaka, with their insane expectations for what they need to produce can benefit from AI trained on their own work (which requires a lot of training data), it’s actually not bad at all. Considering the amount they need to do, often in just a WEEK, I feel like AI allowing them to sleep for a few extra hours is pretty nice.
The issue with saying that is based on how the AI “art” looks, it’s clear he’s done more than train it solely on his own art. The structure of the eyes themselves is too different, not to mention the shading for it to only have been done that way.

Still tho, don’t get why he can’t use it off his own work. You need thousands of drawings to make it work even slightly. Lots of artists use AI for concepts and if it’s only using his own art + whatever edits he makes to it after the fact, he is literally not stealing.
That said, unless he’s lying, which I guess it’s his own sin. But you know, that wasn’t the issue you stated lol
