As a certified member of the Elon Must Hate Club board, allow me to supplement some information on this disaster of a product. 1. Owners report the stainless steel body rusts extremely quickly if not maintained all the time and if you have dead bugs on it the terms say you need to clean it ASAP, as you mentioned since it has no paint or any coating. You **can** get a coating from Tesla to prevent this... for an additional $2-3k (idr which). 2. Being the body is made up of the aforementioned practically freshly machined steel, the edges are incredibly sharp. Closing the door on your fingers will slice them off but even if you hit your shin on the side of the door it'll slash you open. There's zero sensors on anything automatically closing, so anything that does that can cut off whatever you stick in it. 3. You mentioned about the rear view camera but in addition, if you have the tailgate down (such as if you're hauling something (like someone who drives a truck might do)) the camera points down at the road as it's on the tailgate instead of, idk, the bumper. 4. My mom's Honda Civic can offroad better than this thing. It's demonstrably terrible at driving up uneven inclines. 5. The "Full Self Driving" (ironically Tesla now calls it 'Supervised Full Self Driving' because of a lawsuit where someone was killed because of it) both does not work on the Cybertruck (as you mentioned), but to make up for that it's really good at killing people when you do have it. 6. In general the Cybertruck is extremely shitty, where some people have driven it off the lot and had it immediately break down. This thing is laughably bad. To compound how bad a time this is for a recall, in addition to him begging for a $50 bil bonus, Tesla recently fired roughly 10% of their workers (most of whom weren't informed until they got to work and their keycards wouldn't let them in (which as a reminder is what happened to Twitter as well)). To use Elon's own words, they really dug their grave with the Cybertruck. Fuck Elon. EDIT: An amendment to point 2. There *is* sensors on the truck and they have since been adjusted to a vastly more reasonable standard, so if you put your hand in the closing trunk it won't remove fingers anymore. It's insane that it was that bad at all, but to give credit it is fixed. The rest is still the same.
😆 the people commenting likely know NOTHING about Nikola Tesla. Nikola Tesla was born an ethnic Serb in the village of Smiljan, within the Military Frontier, in the Austrian Empire (present-day Croatia), on 10 July 1856. His father, Milutin Tesla was a priest of the Eastern Orthodox Church.
i believe they added one (1) inch of crumple zone so that it would be legal in america im not 100% sure though, but yeah im pretty sure the original design had no crumple zone whatsoever
on the steam deck actually, you might be able to fix it by holding the "..." button, and the volume up button while powering it on while plugged in, for 10 seconds, removing the wire (while holding the buttons) then plugging it back in. had the same issue after i got mine and that fixed it.
1. all vehicles because of safety standards have to crumple (btw tesla vehicles score as the safest ever tested look it up) 2. the drive by wire has 2 redundancies HUR DUR RESEARCH IS HARD. 3. the pedal thing is an incredibly stupid mistake ill give you that however there wasnt even a crash recorded because of it. toyota however had an issue and denied it for years before settling. 4. with the tonneau cover open the visibility out back is little to none but you dont need it because there a backup camera and it can be on screen all the time if you like and is when you are in reverse.

Realistically, its not painted because the price of paint (both waterbase and solvent) is so damn expensive especially since Tesla paints are two stage, but manufacturers hardly put a ton of paint on nowadays anyway. If anything, not painting it just makes it rust faster since its open to elements lmao its just them dodging costs
Getting hit by a Cybertruck at max speed is equivalent to standing next to 1.2 kilograms of TNT (2.65lbs in🍔). (MATH ALERT) The formula for kinetic energy is E_k = (1/2)mv^2, if we plug in all the values (3000kg and 58.1152m/s) we get (1/2)(3000)(58.12)^2, which is equal to 5066902 joules, or the equivalent of 1.2 kilograms of TNT.
I play on my Steam Deck in my living room couch even though I have a PC in another room. It's not only for "on the go" gaming, it's also the convenience of playing wherever you want for quick sessions without having to stay in the same room all day.
The gas pedal of the Cybertruck isn’t a flaw. They were just inspired by the War Rig from Mad Max Fury Road, which has one of these shoe measuring things on the gas, allowing you to slam it down and keep it going at full throttle

14:34 Wrong! The reason auto manufacturers are using touchscreens now is that they’re cheaper to produce than the buttons we had before, because there aren’t as many different shapes and sizes. They can be mass produced or sourced more easily.
I... Disagree? Touchscreens are definitely not cheaper than a piece of sturdy plastic honestly, especially since they break a lot more easily. It's quite the opposite really. Also it's literally more dangerous. You shouldn't be distracted while driving navigating menus and interfaces to find the radio.

15:18 normally cars have a rod attached to the powers steering unit to assist you with driving. This means that if the power steering fails, you can still turn the wheels even though it would be hard. The problem the cyber truck has is there is no physical connection so if the computer dies then the steering doesn’t work at all so you just in a big metal box with no way of controlling it
The whole cybertruck situation vividly reminds me of when Homer met his half brother and he asked him to design a car and at the very end it's unveiled to his brother's complete dismay
If you own a Cybertruck, you can apparently expect it to draw crowd of people taking pictures of it & themselves standing next to it, like a free attraction you forgot to sell tickets for. On the plus side, having that many people near your car makes it very unlikely to get broken into. Saw one last week parked at waterfall observation parking lot & hiking trail, surrounded by gawkers holding their phones out.
It cant be understated how poor the cybertruck would be at actually protecting you. Rigid steel body with no crumple or flex means all the energy from the crash is gonna go straight to you. Your cybertruck will be in one piece, meanwhile your skull and brains will have ping ponged all around inside.
I just hate how much I like the IDEA of the cyber truck. If only it wasn't an expensive, rusty, heavy piece of shit. But then, that's most modern trucks.
A UK based electric car project I had a part in (during early stages) is Mini Recharged/Recharged Heritage. The project is a new part of BMW/Mini and takes old Classic Minis (Like the green car Mr Bean drives for those who aren't familar lol), and converts the engine to electric, things like the petrol/gas gague are replaced with gagues that display info on the new electric engine (but they still loom like the old gagues). Nothing else is touched, the body and interior remain intact. making it a far more eco-friendly technique than making a whole new car. It's also a reversible change as to not damage the car itself. I've actually had the honour of taking a trip in one and it was fantastic, the fella driving said it felt just like the old car (which was already nice to drive) if not a little smoother! The prices are cheaper than the Cybertruck and hopefully will become cheaper with development/time. Right now it's £62.5k or £42.5k if you bring your own Mini (compared to the £66k starting price of Cybertruck.) Hopefully the technique will become more widespread so it's more affordable for everyone. It'd cut down a lot of carbon emissions if other companies picked it up! Who knows? Putting customers' safety over profit is something that should be celebrated. That being said, the Tesla truck is stupid af lmao
Don't forget that the SAAB 9000 has static cruise control. It doesn't slow down if the car in front does. It will just keep the speed you set it to. This was many decades before this cybertruck came out
Tesla Fr telling people to fix the pedal instead of taking it in and paying for the fix is like the Helldivers 2 devs telling people not to buy their game cause their servers ain’t working
...no, I don't think that's an apt comparison. One's laziness and greed, the other's an act of weird benevolence and slight self-sabotage respectively. In the end, even what they achieve, or are meant to achieve, is different, as one is meant to save money, while the other is meant to hold themselves accountable. I don't even play Helldivers 2, and I can tell that much.

Fuck Elon.
EDIT:
An amendment to point 2. There *is* sensors on the truck and they have since been adjusted to a vastly more reasonable standard, so if you put your hand in the closing trunk it won't remove fingers anymore. It's insane that it was that bad at all, but to give credit it is fixed. The rest is still the same.

1. all vehicles because of safety standards have to crumple (btw tesla vehicles score as the safest ever tested look it up)
2. the drive by wire has 2 redundancies HUR DUR RESEARCH IS HARD.
3. the pedal thing is an incredibly stupid mistake ill give you that however there wasnt even a crash recorded because of it. toyota however had an issue and denied it for years before settling.

If anything, not painting it just makes it rust faster since its open to elements lmao its just them dodging costs

Getting hit by a Cybertruck at max speed is equivalent to standing next to 1.2 kilograms of TNT (2.65lbs in🍔).
(MATH ALERT)
The formula for kinetic energy is E_k = (1/2)mv^2, if we plug in all the values (3000kg and 58.1152m/s) we get (1/2)(3000)(58.12)^2, which is equal to 5066902 joules, or the equivalent of 1.2 kilograms of TNT.

The gas pedal of the Cybertruck isn’t a flaw. They were just inspired by the War Rig from Mad Max Fury Road, which has one of these shoe measuring things on the gas, allowing you to slam it down and keep it going at full throttle
Honestly dude, I really hate that elongated muskrat. Bro kidnapped a bluejay and is holding them hostage with checkmark subscriptions, bullied the owners of an electronic car company until they ran away in tears, then sat in the boss's chair when nobody was looking and said it's his now, and even tried to kidnap that cash friend app with the two initials that look like the 16th glyph of the English alphabet with the intent to replace it with the 24th glyph of the English alphabet like he's done with the bluejay now.
On an technical sense, touchscreens are way cheaper because you don't do any design or integration, you just slap it there. It's awful.

You don't attach "literally" to something you want to sound true. It has to actually be true, as a requirement. Elon Musk is a _businessman_ - and I even use *that* word really generously, because he makes terrible decisions with the companies he now owns - and he just happened to invest in the right companies with his father's emerald mine blood-money. He's a college dropout who published *ZERO* papers in his life. Little buddy doesn't even have a *bachelor's degree.* I'm ten times as much a mathematician as he's a "rocket scientist". You can stretch the truth and lick Elon Musk's boot as a "visionary" and a "shrewd investor" all you like, but the moment you go out and bold-facedly *lie* that he's an _engineer,_ I'm slapping you right across ya face.
@@oskariKN25 You're short sighted. He works with his staff, he works on the cars, the rockets, link, the boring company.. he's known for putting in 18-20 hour days and sleeping on his office floor. @@MonsterJuiced the irony of comparing him to tesla when he is edison of this age. At least he cured a blind kid or whatever. This guy called a rescue diver a pedophile in his trash tweets because he insulted his useless rc submarine. Even with all of that for the love of anything of even the slightest of value, why do people praise rich people? I just dont get how someone with no money for themselves can let themselves be fooled to like a person that made his wealth from exploitation of labor and breaking of labor laws with startup money made from post colonial slavery. Even if he did work 40 hour days and something else veery impressive to make it sound like he does something else but tweet bullshit all day, he is not a person to be praised. Americas wealthy truly have succeeded at making themselves be loved by their ignorant consumer base.
This isn't even some conspiracy. People do not work 10000 times harder than everybody else and become a billionaire, that is not physically possible Im sure you are smart enough to see at least that. Billionaires created their wealth from cheap labor and family money/connections. They are not special nor smart. Especially not Elon and his disgusting Musk.

15:18 normally cars have a rod attached to the powers steering unit to assist you with driving. This means that if the power steering fails, you can still turn the wheels even though it would be hard. The problem the cyber truck has is there is no physical connection so if the computer dies then the steering doesn’t work at all so you just in a big metal box with no way of controlling it
The edge of the car is so sharp you can peel fruit with it
The whole cybertruck situation vividly reminds me of when Homer met his half brother and he asked him to design a car and at the very end it's unveiled to his brother's complete dismay
0:40 How did he go from looking like that to now
It cant be understated how poor the cybertruck would be at actually protecting you.
Rigid steel body with no crumple or flex means all the energy from the crash is gonna go straight to you. Your cybertruck will be in one piece, meanwhile your skull and brains will have ping ponged all around inside.
"Oh boo hoo, let me play you a song on the world's smallest violin"
15:08, my 2010 CR-V has that feature, its more prominent in later models, its called adaptive steering.
I just hate how much I like the IDEA of the cyber truck. If only it wasn't an expensive, rusty, heavy piece of shit. But then, that's most modern trucks.
@@zogwort1522 I.. kind of not hate it. It's ugly, but it's got character. You're good.
Right now it's £62.5k or £42.5k if you bring your own Mini (compared to the £66k starting price of Cybertruck.)
Hopefully the technique will become more widespread so it's more affordable for everyone. It'd cut down a lot of carbon emissions if other companies picked it up! Who knows? Maybe if a big TH-camr or two made a video about buying one of those instead of a Tesla more people would know about it *hint hint* c'mon Pyro *hint hint* get in the funny little Bri*ish car Pyro.

Also stainless does rust, just a lot slower and it can be mitigated by maintaining it well, which the cybertruck won't as it will be parked outside
Steer by wire is a play on word of "fly by wire" wich what most planes use
Basicaly means the control are fully digital and fly the plane by a computer translating your inputs to the control surfaces
In gaymer words its aim assist for piloting
Unlike regular steering wich the steering wheel is directly mechanicaly conected to what steers the wheels
