Hey I think you miscredited the author of Gangsta. Her name is Kohske! I don’t know the name you mentioned in the video but it caught me off guard. Great video otherwise though!
@@corduroycrook hey its all good! I ride hard for female mangaka so I just noticed it for that reason. Keep putting out videos though, you have good taste dawg
One thing about seinen is that it's more akin to the Young Adult (YA) genre in the West rather than for adult men specifically. Some of my seinen manga are ones with incredibly strong female leads and casts -- shows like Skip and Loafer, Apothecary Diaries, Witch Hat Atelier are all featured in seinen magazines. Also, if you liked Kimi ni Todoke (From Me to You), I would definitely recommend Skip and Loafer's manga - it takes many of the best concepts from the series and pushes it to another level.
Love seinen manga. They have more in common with traditional adult literary storytelling and character depth while still maintaining the whimsical charm, weirdness and outlandish creativity typically associated with anime. It’s a best of both worlds situations, mature heartfelt storytelling with complex themes while still being fun, interesting and entertaining.
I think Yukimura predicted that the rise of rockets going to space might mess up with the atmosphere, there are studies being done right now to see if so many launches cause adverse effects increasing particulate matter and stuff like that.
Funniest thing Cowboy Bebop is a shoujo. I don't know if you're aware of what makes something a shoujo josei seinen or shonen but due to what makes something apart of these demographics cowboy bebop is a shoujo. Cowboy Bebop-Shoujo Your Lie in April-Shonen K-On-Seinen Servamp-Josei Personal my favorite Josei Series is Forget me not and the Apple Prisoner, Forget me not is a prequel to the apple prisoner. my favorite shonen is Fire Punch and my favorite Seinen is probably Heavenly Delusion. I have yet to find a shoujo I actually like though.
Just stumbled on your channel. You gotta make one on When march comes in like a lion. The Mangaka previously drew Shojo. Sangatsu no lion feels more Seinin but still holds shojo sensibilities imo. There is this kindness that just exudes in every page drawn. I feel the same sensibility with Otoyomegatari. Shojo whimsicality within Seini. Idk. (do check if you havent, a historical seinin that blends the tropes of demographic categorization like Sangatsu). At this point really they're just Literature, those works.
The 2nd half of the anime only "picks up" because it gets to the terrorism plot which imo is the weakest arc of the series. Idk what's up with people thinking actiong and explosions = picking up the pace
I just finished reading Dungeon Meshi and im keeping up with the anime, it actually made me want to back in to anime! Mushishi has been one of my favourite anime for *years* and one anime I have been watching that i feel you might like if you like Mushishi is Mononoke, the art is just gorgeous. I have been looking in to seinen and Planetos is on my list to watch! I'm more interested in the blue collar scifi job aspect that the more introspective analysis of it personally, but i might cheek out the manga.
@@corduroycrook It a horror anime based on Japanese folklore and I want to repeat that the art style is *gorgeous* I'm not a big anime fan but I have never see anything like this I think it might get a new season or a movie but I'm not sure, I really hope so because it's really beautiful
@ u telling me u watched 2 seasons of the show and didn’t notice there was a story? Everything is literally set up in the first episode 🤦🏾♂️. And if u don’t know what the aliens are just pick up the manga.
Yuki is most definitely cheating on her arranged marriage oofy doofy husband and definitely not having sex with him unless it's transaction There's no love in that relationship If she has the opportunity to cheat she definitely doing it If there's more of her in the story I would like to know

Ooo I’m excited to hear your thoughts! Are you anime only?

wish Gangsta would be more popular
You start with Shojo and josei in the same video but separate seinen and shonen. Maybe Shojo and josei have to be the same, being separate...
My favorite Seinen
Vinland Saga
Monster
Lonesome Dove
Pluto
Golgo 13
MD Geist
Akira
Shamo
