5 Months into grinding on TH-cam (mostly shorts) and it sure doesn't feel passive but i'm trusting the process and remembering once you have an audience, then the other passive ideas (merch, digital products, affiliate marketing) become so much more achievable too! Thanks for the video!
We’ve been through the part time TH-camr academy. It’s such a wealth of information. Our channel is SLOWLY growing. At times it’s a little discouraging. We just keep moving forward hoping that it will pay off one day. This video is encouraging and helpful thank you!
Hii ur channel is a true gem, if u want a unsolicited tip from an outsider..., I would focus on making better thumbnails, like a rly nice juicy picture of the finished food and maybe better titles, so ur videos get the recognition they deserve
Thanks for your tips Ali, I started this year and I'm on 374 subscribers!!! Want to get 500 by the end of the year. It's great fun but a lot of work. These tips will help 👍🏽
Being a TH-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.
From Bangladesh here! This was pure gem. I am a medical doctor and a part-time freelance content writer. I have learned so much from you already. Now I'm trying to grow my TH-cam channel and this was gold! Thanks so much. Implementing all these in my next video.

Excellent video, Ali!!! thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, recommendations and words of encouragement with us. You are really an inspiration! I just started my TH-cam Channel last week and have only 3 subscribers but I'm doing it just for fun and to share with other people, because the value and knowledge that we are providing to others when we make these videos is the most important thing to me! To everyone who is starting a TH-cam channel like me, I wish you all the best!. It is not easy, but it can be a wonderful hobby and a lot of fun!. Trust and enjoy the process and never give up. All the best to all of you reading this and many blessings!!!😊🙏🙏
At 60 and retired with my husband, a lot of this doesn't really apply to me, as I am not in it for business but bonding with others and others bonding with others - creating a community for older people, talking about issues of aging, being entertaining at the same time and finding or making time is not a huge issue. So at the moment I DO edit etc. and I really enjoy researching and planning (i think it started as procrastination but i came to enjoy it). My life now is pretty quiet, and I get a lot of satisfaction doing it all myself, but I promise I will occasionally consider outsourcing an editor. I suppose it might be nice for extra income, but it is not my focus. Maybe if it rears its head and becomes a possibility i might consider it. My biggest struggle is myself, my insecurities, my "training" by parents and culture that as a woman of how "a lady acts". Ridiculous, I know, but i notice it most when I'm working on YT. I find your videos excellent and am a subscriber. Hi from Canada! (Oct 2024)

Ali I have a book idea for you that I would personally want to read. "Beyond Productivity: Finding the Balance Between Ambition and Well-Being" would focus on helping people like me(and loads of people in this hustle culture) who struggle to balance ambition and self-care. The focus should be on finding a way to achieve our goals and provide for our families without sacrificing our own well-being. You can share real stories and actionable advice to help redefine success so it feels fulfilling rather than draining.

Ciao! I just started my TH-cam channel and have uploaded three videos. I find your tips incredibly helpful! I've made notes and already used some in my last video. Thanks so much for sharing your Beginners Guide!
Hope you are well. I watch all your videos on TH-cam. You are making amazing video content. Your video quality is appreciable. I am so impressed by your content. I was analyzing your channel and noticed that you are struggling with video views and video ranking. May I share some tips on how you can achieve your goals?
Just started my TH-cam channel a month ago and I will say, that Ali you have been the biggest inspiration yet, been grinding just like you have and hopefully I will be somewhere or even higher than where you are 💪🏼💪🏼
Hi Al…wanted to get your input on how shorts. What are their purpose to the audience and can they produce revenue like videos? Trying to figure out what exactly is their purpose. Thank you for your time!

Ali, thank you very much for such a valuable video! Im watching you since 2020 i think, when you were working as a doctor, and then you leaved it and started to work full time on youtube. Now in 2024, you've inspired me a lot with this one, and now i would like to start my own channel too! Thank you very much!
I started a few weeks ago ❤ thanks so much for your tips! Creating content has helped build resilience in dealing with life even if i only have 25 subs, i love it! 😊
Thank you for another awesome video Ali, I have been watching since you were a doctor and have loved how you have evolved. I want to grow a TH-cam channel but my biggest hurdle is my appearence. While there is nothing really wrong with how I look it is what holds me back. I am now 50yrs old and looking at myself in my videos is such a struggle. I have a tone of content to share that is very useful and I love the platform so much, I have filming and editing skills, all the things except I hate looking at myself. I know Im old enough to know better but its a real challenge. Thanks again for your beautiful self and I look forward to your next video. 😊
I’ve been uploading 10-second latte art videos daily for 130 days. I’ve improved a little, but I never imagined that with 130 days of consistency, I would gain 1.2k subscribers and consistently get 10k viewers on each short video. My first tip: 'Start now.' There’s a long way to go, but all the best to everyone. We’re all in the same boat. I’ve also started uploading on another channel I created 12 years ago for art and DIY content, to see if it’s luck or consistency at play. 🙌🏻 Let’s see how TH-cam rewards consistency!
Thanks Ali,I just searched on TH-cam about how to make TH-cam channel and your video came up and found very helpful.I am going to make a TH-cam cooking channel and definitely going to follow these tips.Definitely you are a good teacher and explained will.
Don't forget to put in the work to study and get better every time! My channel has stagnated because I perfected the art of pumping out a short in 2 hours a day, and just rode that for over 100 videos. You have to also put in the work to improve. Not just practice, but better practice every time. You got this!
Great Video, came across really genuine and it’s good to be reminded that YT is more than something purely for financial gain. I am currently struggling with putting videos together or idea generation 😬, I have been involved in construction since I was 5, half my family live in Spain,me Suffolk, I started the gym/crossfit a lot over the last year and in good shape. I guess they’re my unfair advantages. I’ve learnt that when I am accountable I ‘get on with it’ a lot more than when I’m not. SO, maybe a video about things you can do to make yourself accountable. It’s probably a pride thing for me, it’s because I’m proud of being a reliable person and thus when I’m accountable, (or I say Yes too much) I don’t let them down thus get more stuff done. Let’s face it most of us don’t want to go to the 9-5 on a Monday morning but it’s the accountability that gets us out of bed. Hope that makes sense! Good luck to everyone on their YT journey and remember, it’s about the journey, not the destination, enjoy it ✌🏻111 subs and counting 😊
Thanks Ali! PTYA student here and I'm finally listening. My next videos will be edited by someone else. I slept at midnight because I was editing last night and I get up for work at 5 a.m (Make it make sense lol) I decided that that is enough of the madness.
I totally agree with bulleting. That's what I have realized recently. I am good at scripting(writing). It allows me to have a clear scope of the talk, and then I am guided by the bullet on the flow and transitions. I love to speak freely. This is a great advice. Thanks. I hope to offer good value to people one day just like you do.
This is correct, Minority Mindset strategy has normalized winning trades for me also and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started.
Thanks Ali, learned a lot from your videos and in fact I was a youtuber once when I was 14 years old and after watching your inspirational videos started to do it again want to thank you for providing us valuable and most importantly honest informations as you tried and help you along the way :) I am currently 610 subscribers trying to find my Niche also along the way so wishing best luck to everyone in this journey maybe some of us will meet someday :)
How fortuitous! I recently committed to an”serious” relationship with my TH-cam channel has been up for almost 5 years but I haven’t uploaded anything on a regular basis. So helpful, thanks! 🙏 On editing: I agree 100% on the editing. The problem is that a good editor isn’t cheap. Unfortunately, I don’t have the expendable income to pay $70 per video to have it edited, especially if I’m trying to upload 1 or more videos a week, that’s hundreds of dollars a month I just don’t have at the moment. If things pick up I will definitely outsource though because what you say is true, not the funnest part of the job.
Thanks Ali , I know equipment does not matter much at the start , but right now what i need is a good camera , for better video quality. love From Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
Great work! I appreciate all these points having recently started my youtube channel. I also struggle with consistency and time management so its good to know what to do in these cases 😌
If, due to lack of resources, I have to be my own editor for now, what are the most important things that I should implement in my editing to give my videos the best chance for success? Great video and advice as always, Ali. Thank you very much!
That was years of value packed into 1 video. Thanks a lot! Question, what are your thoughts about using your own name as the channel name versus coming up with a brand name?
I am prepping to post my first video, and this was very insightful on the "recipe" for starting out. I've been recording and conceptualizing for several years since starting my own journey as a full time solo female nomad, and I a ready to do this. Thanks! subscribed!
Adore that scale you showed! Those "get going", "get good", the choices... Cleared my mind a bit, so thank you!! Is it a retrospective of your journey?
I really needed to hear and see those filming mantras! I just went all-in with full-time content creation this past year (started on TT) and now moving more to YT. It's been fun, but also very trying at times with negativity you find on the internet, working hard to learn all the things, making progress yet pushing yourself to find peace in your journey and the pace things are moving (even if I feel like my gains aren't happening fast enough, lol). I can put a lot of pressure on myself and having reminders like your mantras are great. I'm going to start reading those before I record any of my YT videos moving forward. I know it'll help me for sure, so again, thank you for sharing!!!🥰
Here's a concise overview of what you need to know: 1. Start creating videos, even if they aren't perfect. 2. Commit to a consistent upload schedule. 3. Outsource your video editing to save time. 4. Write captivating titles that include keywords, numbers, and strong adjectives. 5. Be authentic to your personality and let your passion shine through.
Great video! Can you do more about the business side of running a channel? What is the best business structure to have? LLC, SMLLC, etc? What about tax write-offs in the US? What can and cannot be written off? When can write-offs begin? Do you have to be monetized or making income first? Thanks!

Hi Ali! Thank you for sharing pricing on editing videos! QUESTION: what price do you pay for video editing of social media content (like 30 sec or 1 min videos)?? I’ve started doing that work and not sure what’s reasonable to charge… plus it takes quite a bit of time to edit… love your content (as always)!
I’ve been wanting to start TH-cam on and off for about 3 years now😅. I filmed a whole bunch last year and even posted the first video, but quickly became overwhelmed with the amount of editing that needed to be done. Then I started a new job that required a lot of learning and so I just didn’t have the mental energy to also learn video editing on the side. Well, I’m about to film my first (technically second) video, and this time I’m taking it slow, editing one video at a time (until I can afford to outsource it), not really worrying about niches or perfect set ups. I just want to share things with people I find valuable and chat - the kind of videos I enjoy watching (but somehow am convinced no one will watch if I make them). Good luck to everyone on this journey!
I am at 108 Subs, and I am nowhere near the watch hours and have been going at it for a year. I am happy and grateful for each subscriber. Let’s keep pushing til we get get there and beyond!! so grateful for creators like this one, who share their knowledge.
It is fascinating how when I feel like starting a TH-cam channel Ali makes a video like this. This video is absolutely amazing and I can't wait to get going
I love your videos Ali, I have been watching your videos since 2020, There is this video you did a while back, it has been a game changer for me in the way i viewed entrepreneurship that got me transitioning from my music career into entrepreneurship, now i am taking steps to really dive into youtube based on that idea i learnt from your video where you spoke about starting a business online by documenting your journey it has been my blueprint for advice to others that i have came across wanting to start on this journey, after this video i am taking this youtube journey serious coz procrastination had gotten the best of me but now i think i am ready. Thank you so much really appreaciate the value you have brought into this space as well as my life.
Hey Ali, I would like to know that when you make videos about things you have learn from a book or share any information that you have learn from somewhere, don't you have to worry about any copyright strike or do you take their permission to use and share those things. I would like to know that how can I share my learnings that I have learnt without having to worry about any copyright strike. So, can you please make a video about it.
Thanks for making this video, I found it super helpful! I have to get out of my head and just start. How do you do the research for your title, thumbnail, hook? Do you just type it in TH-cam? Or do you use another platform?
Hi Ali, thank for this very clear and extremely valuable video! I have one more question: I understood from previous videos that it is good to learn to edit yourself first so you can find your style to show to a professional editor later. Would you recommend learning to edit first or hiring someone to do it for you from the beginning? Thanking you very much in advance for taking the time to answer my question! Anik

Excellent video! I deeply appreciate your guidance. Thank you!
Found this video very helpful! Thank you!!
Don't forget to put in the work to study and get better every time! My channel has stagnated because I perfected the art of pumping out a short in 2 hours a day, and just rode that for over 100 videos. You have to also put in the work to improve. Not just practice, but better practice every time. You got this!
It shows how people are stuck in a trance because nobody is talking about a book called The secret money magnet formula
Ali!! Thank you for this! I wiped out my podcast and starting over with my TH-cam channel. Thank you again ❤
I’ve learnt that when I am accountable
I ‘get on with it’ a lot more than when I’m not.
Thank you! Very helpful. Very generous
Thanks Ali! PTYA student here and I'm finally listening. My next videos will be edited by someone else. I slept at midnight because I was editing last night and I get up for work at 5 a.m (Make it make sense lol) I decided that that is enough of the madness.
yesssss
I totally agree with bulleting. That's what I have realized recently. I am good at scripting(writing). It allows me to have a clear scope of the talk, and then I am guided by the bullet on the flow and transitions. I love to speak freely. This is a great advice. Thanks. I hope to offer good value to people one day just like you do.
I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT TRADING/ INVESTING AND I'M KEEN ON GETTING STARTED . WHAT ARE SOME STRATEGIES TO GET STARTED WITH .?
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable.
Mr Minority Mindset.
This is correct, Minority Mindset strategy has normalized winning trades for me also and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started.
Isn't that the same Minority Mindset that my neighbours are talking about, he has to be a perfect expert for people to talk about him so well
@@MichelinaStouten how please
This would be really helpful to learn- what concepts (timeless ones) do people keep watching on TH-cam.
Thank you! 🙏🏾 I’m a new TH-camr just started my channel this week! 💜💜💜
On editing: I agree 100% on the editing.
Really happy that I found this channel. Thankyou for the all advice , will definitely be watching this again
Thanks Ali , I know equipment does not matter much at the start , but right now what i need is a good camera , for better video quality. love From Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
For me it was better to buy a proper light and big softbox rather than buying a better camera :)
Great work! I appreciate all these points having recently started my youtube channel. I also struggle with consistency and time management so its good to know what to do in these cases 😌
I love the Filming Mantra. I am quite sure it has a big part in your success. I will create mine based on yours. Thank you for sharing them!
after watching your course on skillshare about starting youtube , I started my channel and uploaded my first video in the this week
If, due to lack of resources, I have to be my own editor for now, what are the most important things that I should implement in my editing to give my videos the best chance for success?
Great video and advice as always, Ali. Thank you very much!
Thanks for the helpful tips! I braved up and finally started my channel last weekend! 😊
That was years of value packed into 1 video. Thanks a lot! Question, what are your thoughts about using your own name as the channel name versus coming up with a brand name?
With so many videos about TH-cam content this is the best I’ve seen so far thank you
Best resources for creating a youtube 'Set' / background.
I am prepping to post my first video, and this was very insightful on the "recipe" for starting out. I've been recording and conceptualizing for several years since starting my own journey as a full time solo female nomad, and I a ready to do this. Thanks! subscribed!
This video is much better than payed course studying. Thank you so much
Adore that scale you showed! Those "get going", "get good", the choices... Cleared my mind a bit, so thank you!!
Is it a retrospective of your journey?
I am a Christian youtuber. I am happy that I finally stepped out on faith and started it!!
Really trying to make my channel work. Thanks this was helpful.
Here's a concise overview of what you need to know:
1. Start creating videos, even if they aren't perfect.
2. Commit to a consistent upload schedule.
3. Outsource your video editing to save time.
4. Write captivating titles that include keywords, numbers, and strong adjectives.
5. Be authentic to your personality and let your passion shine through.
THE VIDEO WE ALL WAITED FOR HAS DROPPED! YESS🎉
Does Trading 212 work in Scandinavia?
And if Trading 212 does not charge any commission fee, how do they make any money?!
I am gonna make it I promise!!! Good Luck Everyone!
Yes, we are going to make it
This is pure gold! I’ve been struggling with this, and your insights are just what I needed. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! These videos are always valuable. I am watching it for the second time today but feels like i am watching it for the first time.
00:30:00 Just the BEST advice ever. ❤ feeling it in my bones 😂
New book! Working Smarter, Not Harder
Great video! Can you do more about the business side of running a channel? What is the best business structure to have? LLC, SMLLC, etc? What about tax write-offs in the US? What can and cannot be written off? When can write-offs begin? Do you have to be monetized or making income first? Thanks!
04:55 - RE: "in case you aren't familiar of my story, I used to be a doctor", it feels good to be part of the Evidence Based Study Tips era ❤ we talkin' OG OG crew here
this is one of the first videos I have seen that starts off by saying you don't need a niche and for that I thank you
'Get going, get good, get smart' works for almost everything.
Thank you ! Great information I hope to one day get close to ur level.
Good luck everyone starting a TH-cam channel in 2024💪🏻🏆
Thank you Ali this is a great video for someone who's struggling with starting a TH-cam now I have a better vision for my channel ❤
Your mantra ROCKS!
Thanks for the inspiration, Ali. Always a thing or two to learn from you.
Just do it! Find your interest of choice and start. You never know when you are going to blow up. Good luck to everyone! 😊
Great comprehensive starting kit!
I just created my TH-cam channel today. You’re advice is very helpful! Hopefully my channel grows successful 🤞🏾🙏🏾
To every small channel reading this, keep going we got this, much luck 🫶🏻✨️
I actually found this one particularly helpful because of the examples. Thank you Ali.
Anik
