  • This video will discuss how to find better support in standing to reduce muscular strain in the neck and back. You’ll learn some of the common postural patterns or habits most people fall into and how to find better skeletal organization. By creating clear skeletal support from the ground through the legs, you develop a basis of support that will counteract the forces of gravity. Without this support, you must rely on your musculature to hold you upright. More muscular effort equals a higher chance of discomfort.
    I’ll explain why the human body is similar to an upside-down pendulum and why that matters to our biological fitness. You’ll get several pointers in terms of finding optimal alignment by finding the correct part of the foot to organize your weight through, and we’ll discuss the optimal distance apart your feet should be to maintain minimal effort in standing.
