@@awacsbandog658 True. The HDM is much more forgiving than the Welrod, so that's definitely a big plus, but I still prefer the Welrod for its better damage, accuracy and it's ability to conserve ammo. Overall, it comes down to how confident you are with the aiming in the game.
Good job with the metaphors and similies Edit: my favorite rifle is the de lisle carbine, my favorite smg is the fnab, and my favorite pistol is the hdm
In the campaign, I use the Welrod for stealth purposes because that’s the only non-dlc pistol I got, but it’s pretty effective with its already attached silencer and fair accuracy and fire rate. Already upgraded it too. The Mauser M712 I did test it out, but it’s best to single shot into the head so there wouldn’t a huge problem unless struggled at a distance like I did with other sidearms.
HMD has been my favourite pistol from the get go. In my opinion it's the best pistol in the game. I was really suprised about its placement in this list.
I'm so glad I found this video! I'm playing through the game now for the second time, after just finishing it a week ago or so for the first time. I didn't mess around with trying different weapons until just recently and now I have a nice head start thanks to this! Great work, nice vid and a laugh or two to boot lol.
Webley: I love playing with it, under the condition that you change and adapt your game strategy: it makes noise, a lot of noise; so the enemies come to see you. Then yyou just kill them one by one, when they are coming. Watch out for the very long load time and reload whenever possible. But then you can kill over long distances and kill a lot because of its far superior damage. In consequence you need less bullets. Of course impossible to play stealth strategy. Here I prefer the welrod. Different strategy and different fun
i actually like the HDM better than the Welrod. i play on PC so shooting the enemies in the head is quite easy but when i miss i can fire a faster follow up shot with the HDM
@@Sweatedsiren895 are you seriously restarting checkpoints whenever you miss? you know that you could just shoot a follow up when using the HDM. also in games like this it is way more enjoyable when things go wrong
The thing I love about the Webley is that it feels like your playing Duck Hunt on the NES, the only difference being is that the ducks are replaced with soldier’s heads.
Ahhh the trusty pistol. A quick getaway helper that can make or break a loadout. My most used one is the Welrod, due to the integrated suppressor and the fact it’s very accurate. (Also due to V2 Remastered days.) My loadouts mainly use these: Welrod, Tokarev TT33, M1911 (especially Eternal Struggle) and the Luger P08 (it has a likeness to the Lahti L-35, which was a Finnish Pistol. Perfect for a Simo Häyhä loadout with the M91/30, PPSH-41 and the P08).
Thanks again for an interesting bit of information. I all ways used the well rod but will have go with the 1st and 2ed pistols. I look forward to your next video.
I just purchased this awesome game for my Switch, which I also just got recently and the jokes you had on the Nagant was so harsh describing the reload time. 😂 For all my weapons I automatically reload even if I shoot just a single bullet so I'm never caught in a surprised situation. The Negant is my favorite pistol so far but I'll check out the others before it on you list. Great channel, brother... You got a new subscriber. 👍🏾
Mostly agree with your ranking. I would, however, argue that the HDM is far too low on your list. The pistol is much more versitale that engaging in CQC. Nocking out lights, hitting gas cans and barrels for the enviromental explosions and of course, the 2M headshot. Once I obtained the HDM, I completed the game, in authentic and only started using the other pistols to unlock their elite skins. Great vid, keep it up.
The Nagant revolver is an excellent silenced weapon on authentic. You can load one bullet at a time, not wasting unused ammo in a clip upon reloading, great damage and accuracy.
Mauser has probably the best ttk out of all the pistols apart with body shots. There is a damage upgrade available for it matched with the insane fire rate its an absolute beast. I do agree there is an ammo issue, shoot it in bursts and it will kill in 3 shots. The bursts also stops the recoil from ramping up higher. Its great for multiplayer mostly and run and gun playstyles.
What makes the 1st and 2nd placing weird is that: The TT33 USES THE SAME CALIBER AS THE NAGANT REVOLVER, which by itself would make those two guns ANEMIC in firepower to be fair. Then the M1911 uses 45 ACP, which is a SUBSONIC ammo already, meaning it can very much HAVE a suppressor attached and (due to sniper elite not counting suppressor durability, be an integrally silenced pistol) be a better HDM (that for all purposes is a 9mm silenced pistol, and if the sound suppression is accurate, then IT IS USING SUBSONIC LOADS to achieve it, further making it a weird ass case). To me, HDM and welrod fit 1st and 2nd places for how i play (Full silent commando with DeLisle and a silenced HG, i use either Stg43 or Drilling for loud situations, but i rely more on Booby trapping victims or just deploying some traps if shit gets loud).
Webley is my favourite because in A+ you can't really do stealth properly anyway and also because when you reload it no bullets are wasted in the magazine falling out
Feel like you were a bit hard on the Nagant revolver. If you’re using it as a stealth weapon, you’re only firing a few rounds at a time and can keep it topped up to avoid the unusually-long empty reload animation. I think the damage and accuracy make up for the slow rate of fire and reload
If you’re accurate(or lucky) enough to get 50 headshots with the hdm it’s very accurate and if you you miss the head you can spray and usually still get the kill without alerting anyone
ayy just finished my first playthrough i might have used ur hated sturmgewehr but i also bought the 1911 plus silenced rounds as soon as i could so i soften up enemies at close range before pulling out the sturmgewehr to hose the rest down. Also got the mosin nagant and the carcano fav two snipers by far
I use the Webley for survival because I know my cover's probably going to be blown within a minute or two anyways. For actual story missions, I still use the Welrod.
Idk if you knew that. But normally you can't suppress a revolver, because there is a slight gap between the cylinder and barrel. So the gasses and sound would come out there anyways, making a suppressor useless. To my knowledge the nagant is the only revolver that can be suppressed because it has a feature that pushes the cylinder against the barrel, closing the gap.
The shells of the nagant look like empty casings, the projectile is a wafer shaped disk shoved inside the casing. When the revolver is fired the casing slides forward with the cylinder which creates a gas seal. I own one, they're terribly inaccurate due to the projectile shape and the fact the pistol in double action has a 20 lb pull and in single it has a 12 lb pull. This is because it was intended to be used as a cav revolver. Compare this to the web and you'd find the double a pull is 16 lbs with a single action of around 7 lbs. They did hit the loading on the head though the nagant is by far one of the most annoying revolvers to reload due to the shape of the cartridge and the stiffness of the feed gate.
The freaking scientist always headshot me from a mile away with the Nagant....lol then I used it and try to max it out, yes it reload is "one eternity later".......

I think the silencing capability is either here or there… MOST missions there will be times when you can use background noise to mask your shots and anything else in between - silence your rifle… ok, timing can be critical in some scenarios if you’re trying to ghost a mission - but then leave your self plenty of space and be conscious on your position…

As someone who almost exclusively plays Survival, I'd rank the 1911 as #1 followed by the Webley. I would have ranked the Webley #1, but sometimes it only reloads one bullet and then you have to reload again, which sucks when you have a teammate trying to revive you.
For me it's the 1#Tarkarov 2#HDM 3#Luger, HDM is perfectly fine as it's role, perfect close combat weapon with decent fire rate and accuracy, most of all it's silent ofc Reason i put Tarkarov over HDM is just like how you ranked Carcano in the rifle list, it's too good it gets unfair…range + damage + accuracy + optional for suppressed
Any of the pistols will do well at stealth if you bring enough silenced ammo. Personally, I'd recommend the 1911 or the M1934 for stealth because of the great accuracy.

Incidentally, it's pronounced [nagán]. The 't' is silent. - Webley for solo survival: an excellent gun when you're low on bullets or need a tactical close-combat gun, which in Solo Survival happens on occasion if you're positional instead of running around. Very decent range, with full stopping power. Its only downside, that it does not take a suppressor, is irrelevant in this mode. P.S.
