I can't get enough of this game. Deathstorm 2 and 3 and the Aqueduct mission are some of my very favorite in gaming. Even the "not so good" missions in this game are still a lot of fun.
Same. There’s something super satisfying completing it without blowing your cover and then most times I like triggering the radiomen to call in reinforcements to rack up the extra kills/points
Personaly I love alagra fortress when I first played it just to complete it it took me a couple of days. I remember going to bed and stratagising what the best way is to complete it, and the next day I woke up at 6am to try and beat it and only managed to beat it at 7pm. it was a grind but it was very fun and I will never forget the satisfaction after beating it for the first time.
Nice list but I will disagree about what makes deathstorm 3 the best. It’s the best because it has 3 endings. You think you are finished but then you have to enter the underground lab. You blow up the lab but then the alarms send everyone and their brother in. You get out and they send in tanks and 30 more baddies. Then as you drive away the entire town blows up!!! Outstanding!!!
@@thefundude1 i assume you mean in the first stage as that is qyite sifficult espucially in the open park area but tbh the sub base was kind of empty and the 'reinfircements' at the end were only a handful of enemies
Very good video, even tho I believe that even the weaker missions you mention are still damn good and replayable, it is fascinating to think that the quality of the missions is damn consistent in this game, I cannot think of any single mission being bad or just good, being minimum damn good
I've been playing this game for about a year now, and I mean nonstop. I just can't put it down. I've played it so much that I set traps in key places knowing where the enemies are going to show up next like the bloody snipers after you sabotage the nuclear plant in death storm 3. I love every stage except for one; death storm 1. I don't know what it is about it but I always feel tempted to rush through it just so I can get it over with.
There is somewhat of a difference on how one takes on the missions in say up to Hard Mode and Authentic and Authentic Plus. But good video. Spot on the Death Storm missions.
I really enjoy your video's. I have not yet gotten the dlc for SE4, waiting for a sale on Switch (I have put some financial limitations on my spending on games, for other real life goals and to prevent myself from buying more than I play)... Ever since the first game in the series, I have really enjoyed them next to other great stealth series like Splinter Cell and Hitman and MGS. I usually get tired of a game, but I keep returning to Sniper Elite 4, even after all the main game gold weapon skins, and now over half of the challenge objectives, and hours upon hours of solo survival. Unlike my younger self, I no longer go for the harder difficulties though. Realistic bullet physics, aggressive enemies, that adds to the fun, but having a misstep turn into a game over or being more disconnected by not having the HUD is not my thing anymore. So I love the custom difficulty. I go for perfect the first time but even if I reload a save, I just want to enjoy the other guns and approaches of the game as well, after that it's just a very enjoyable third person shooter with a great sense of enemies actually trying to hunt you down and reacting to your presence, being shot at,... (I love seeing groups of them strategically trying to flush you out in survival on the minimap... without the element of surprise thanks to the minimap).
My Co-op buddy turned me onto Sniper Elite 4 about a week ago. This game has all the things in a third-person stealth shooter that I love. We are just about done with the campaign and ready to download the DLC missions and then it's on to Sniper Elite 5
@@TWilsonSE was going to wait for a price drop on Sniper Elite 5 but I enjoyed part 4 too much to do that. Wow! Sniper Elite 5 is awesome. I like the use of the focus with stealth. Levels are big and should be good for replay. Got as far as exploring the War Factory some but going back to investigate more of the Spy Academy now that I understand the importance of finding the workbenches. A+ title in my opinion.
Even with the new cod and halo games I always return to se4 to play my favorite missions. During the lockdown I deleted the achievements and then Played it everyday
I’ve just finished my first play through and I’m not surprised the DLC maps are on the top of your list. They really feel more elaborated and deathstorm 3 presents itself as the ultimate test. I’d put the allagra fortress in the last place, I hate scripted events in games like this (I like the map tho).
Question, how exactly do you get scope shots, I've got them before, yet I want to master the shot, is it done with bullet hit indicator being orange on the scope and not red ? Or is it supposed to be red, with the distance higher and a more accurate bullet drop shot at the correct angle ? Shooting the sniper, obviously as he's aimed at you and before he shoots you so have to be precise and fast?
I just finished the game and I agree with you except for two things. Dont ask me why but i loved Deathstorm one, and for tçDeathstorm three the same except for escaping the bunker part which i dound a bit tedious, maybe on future playthroughs i will change my mind.
Largely agree with this list. My 1p to add? Given how good the second and third ending of Deathstorm 3 is, it really highlights the lack of Valkyrie troops in the Fuhrer mission. It seems like they were added/invented after the DLC was first put together. Imagine a release of a Valkyrie unit at some point during the mission - with the ability to sniff you out on the catwalks? I don’t mind the design, or the length of the mission per se, but believe it would be just that bit better/more interesting with much harder troops.
That's the issue with having Target Fuhrer as Day 1 DLC. All the cool stuff (the Valkyrie Squads, the Neunfaust, the PPK, etc), all gets added later on, so Target Fuhrer ends up being underutilised.
@@TWilsonSE yeah, I guess that’s the trade off with First Day DLC versus as the game matures. Hopefully, with the new consoles they can (eventually?) go back and update the DLC in SE5 to add cool stuff. Perhaps it would take an entirely new DLC file? Too late for SE4 but really interesting to think how dynamic that level would be with all the cool later developments. Ps. Love your channel!
Deathstorm 2, Abrunza Monastery, Giovi Fiorini or Bitanti Village would be my most played, as they combine good gameplay with unique location/atmosphere. Bitanti Village is indeed limited, but I love the look of it - plus the partisan battle in the town square. Deathstorm 3 is also great, and suitably challenging at the hardest levels, but a bit samey visually IMO. My least replayed levels are probably Deathstorm 1 (underdeveloped), and Allagra Fortress, which I found disappointing both visually and for gameplay... IMO it should've been more like the classic Nazi castle in the movie 'Where Eagles Dare' - sneaking in with close quarters combat if discovered - and save the sniping for getting in and out perhaps? No point in trying to shoehorn long range sniping into an underground complex. btw Maggazeno Facility is kinda boring visually I agree, but it's by far the best level for solo Survival mode...

Honestly abunza is in last for me the level is a huge difficulty spike from lorino and thats if you are going for only the required missions witch if you are half of the map is worthless. Lorino and deathstorm 3 are tied for first just because they have the best Karl line of him saying "Hm what do ya know Christmas came early.".
Deathstorm 3 / Obliteration on Authentic Plus is the pinnacle of 30+ years of gaming for me. When I finally completed the level on the hardest difficulty with all objectives complete, un-killed and intact, I danced a noisy jig around the living room. It was about 2 am and I woke up the wife, the kids and the dogs and wasn’t at all popular. To achieve that on Authentic Plus took me over 6 hours. I still talk about Deathstorm 3 having played all of Sniper Elite 5 on Authentic difficulty, got all the gold medals and over 200 kills on Axis Invasion. Reason being is that nothing in Sniper Elite 5 hits the same mark and none of the levels are as difficult to complete on A+. And I really don’t like how they have dropped Authentic Plus from SE5. That said if you choose to play SE5 on Authentic with Axis Invasion switched on, it certainly adds flavour to the level and it is a real challenge to get to the end without being killed, particularly on Secret Weapons.
I got this on ps plus years ago, however a year ago the definitive edition was on sale for 5 bucks I was like this it anything else hah no brainer, sniper elite 4 all day everyday, no contest this game is just so enjoyable it's like call of duty I could never play the campaign for hours on end, battlefield some modes yeah, but it's like the levels in this game as in sniper elite 4 i just savor them such a fun game deserves way attention
I have the Dockyard and the Monastery much higher. The art appropriation is its only flaw IMO. Target Fuher might be my least favorite. It’s super quick and easy, and the alarm is obnoxious - makes me want to finish up as fast as possible. Also, the facility I have ranked much higher but I see your points. I find Giovi Fiorini boring, quick and easy
Let’s see... what have we covered? Rifles: check. SMG/Shotgun: check. Pistols: check. Missions: just now. Alrighty... there are: traps items (grenades, flare guns, etc) The Characters (includes DLC) Perhaps the actual objectives and any challenges in the levels? My all time levels are San Celini and Regilino for sniping and range. Lorino and Allagra Fortress are good for testing your stealth. Bitanti is nice for urban, along with Monastery (can’t remember the name). DeathStorm 2/3 are some of the best levels I’ve done. The ending part (where you can sprint without firing a bullet for a nice achievement) is a good touch. Target Führer is one hell of a level. Plenty of avenues and lots of good ideas. Play styles of stealth and sniping with a sprinkle of CQC is a winning combo. (When I first did this one, I got the achievement to get out undetected. It was a welcome achievement for such a fun and stressful mission. My friends online also love the clips I get from it!) One last thing: I’ve noticed that some people still can’t find the No. 4 Lee-Enfield. A good tip is not only doing the battles (in Bitanti and Fiorini, 2nd and 7th missions), but also do all Secondary Objectives. That’s how I got mine. It was never defined, so here’s how I got it (along with other people from the Rebellion Discord).
Personally i hate monastery, very few vantage points and there were many foliages covering LOS, while enemy will shoot you through foliages anyway since they have wallhack, imo it's the worst mission to complete with authentic plus

My solution to achieving the objective with the Naval Officer in Deathstorm 1? Why, simply kill all of the enemies accompanying him first, then killing him and disposing of his body last.

This game just doesnt hit like SE5 tbh. Its not as immersive, stealth is nearly impossible and maps arent separated well so if you go loud, you go loud for the entire mission

ikr i absolutely love the final reinforcements cut scene and having to fight your way through waves of enemies. i wish SE5 incorporated that more
@tomasgibbs3235 the final mission in SE5 "Rubble and Ruin" is a pain in the ass if you let the enemies call in reinforcements.

I have spent days trying to get to 40 on field studies in obliteration. Cannot find a mosin or deslile in the level
I love lorino i have that place memorized also i have all sniper locations drilled into my brain except dearhstorm snipers too many
