How to hike Aber Falls circular walk / What to do in North Wales

- The beginning of our adventures in North Wales, the latter half of 2021! On our day of arrival we stop off at Aber Falls not far from Bangor and Caernarfon. We complete a circular route, the advantage being you say goodbye to most of the visitors once you leave the falls themselves, plus you get to take in another waterfall hidden away on route!

I love hiking out to see waterfalls. That is very cool that the circular route has a second waterfall that is less crowded. I also love that you can see the ocean from the falls. Lovely views as usual on this hike. Thanks for taking us along!

Nice video, I'm local and love it around there, as you say the last part of that route is very quiet as not many do the circular path, most just do an out and back on the main path, so they miss the wonderful sea views from the top.

North Wales is a defo for us next year and a week also. Great path to follow and no wonder there were so many tourists, what an amazing waterfall. The circular route back looked the bet option and despite a fall, a great afternoons hiking, cheers Alan

A great addition to these type of videos would be information regarding parking prices ect, if there are any shops near the country lane or petrol stations. And lastly a Google maps ariel image with the route taken marked out and length of time/ difficulty, just to help us newbies who lack confidence in new areas

How long it took you guys from car park to Waterfall ?
From what we remember, no more than an hour, depends on your pace, but it is a short walk.

You did not show how really bad the path is from the first waterfall to the second and the steep climb down before you reach decent paths, to climb the hill, only giving half information 👎🏼
Hi Philip, thanks for commenting. The main path up to Aber Falls is family friendly, yes, but we didn’t think it was challenging to reach the second and even the rest of the loop, hence the lack of criticism. In fact the second half of the walk was in fact more interesting and quiet! The views too of Anglesey, on a clear day, would be amazing. 👍
I'm a local fell runner and run around there all the time, nothing wrong with the paths, try heading up the path to the left side of the falls up into the mountains above, now that's a tough path!
