Happy memories - lived in Caernarfon for a few years in the 1980s - lovely place - good to see some of my old pub haunts still open . My office was close to where the railway is now . Must visit again when im back in the UK.
Good thing you didn’t need your umbrella 🌂 Beautiful castle near the waterfront and old city walls , they are restoring that’s a good thing keeping history alive 👍 That was a nice steam train 🚂 and you had a good place to capture it and have your face smoked up …🤣 Lol! Love those old streets. Thanks for the tour and have a great week Serge H&S 👩❤️👨🌈🇨🇦
Morning both, I quite like caernarfon, I was there the week berfore last - we popped into Yr Harbour for food. I can remember the Investiture on TV in 1968 and I still have a book here somewhere called There's Rosemary that was published at the time for the occasion - it consisted of poems made by various schoolchildren in Monmouthshire at that time. At some point I am going to take that steam train to Porthmadog, it has passed me many a time around Beddgelert & Rhyd when I have been walking. That a nice little bimble both , enjoyable watch. atb Al
We had booked 4 nights at the Premier Inn at Caernarfon for October, for a very first visit there but it got cancelled (long story), so interesting to see what's it's like and worthwhile us rebooking for next year. Well, looks like there is plenty to keep Mrs Metalman happy while I climb Snowdon again, cheers Alan
Hey both, just watching this again as we were there on Sunday. We know what you mean about the scaffolding but there wasn’t as much this weekend, still some though. The Welsh Highland Railway is still high on our list, hopefully next time! We had lunch in the Black Boy Inn, it was lovely. Great to watch this again, hope you’re both well 🍻
love seeing steam trains a bit of nostalgia some amazing scenes there too and olden times looking streets and of course a castle too *always a full watch 👍Au👍you have a like too*
A lovely walk through the town. It’s a gorgeous place isn’t it! We really want to take the highland railway one day and do the trip form Caernarfon to Beddgelert. And the sky was blue by the end!!! Bonus! 🍻
Great walk around and seeing the castle stone walls, very very impressive, loving the harbour too! We've been to alot of places around North Wales but still haven't managed to see Caernarfon, so thank you for sharing it with us :) Great and exciting video, thank you :) 👌🙌
This is a great walk through, the castle and area looks incredible and impressive. I have never had the opportunity to visit Wales, but like so many places, it’s on my list 😉😊
2:21 It's amazing! I have never seen a castle right next to such a large lake or sea in Korea 4:30 This train is so cool. I think it is very meaningful to preserve this old appearance #14
the castle it’s self is basically the centre of Caernarfon and the walls you see near the water is the walls that surround the whole town that used to keep them safe, pretty cool.
I drove down there many years ago,and I loved the place, although one of the locals was very rude. However, I'm driving back down there in a couple more weeks, and hope to enjoy a bite to eat somewhere in the village. Hopefully, I'll experience a bit more friendly locals next time.
I drove down there many years ago,and loved the Welsh countryside.Sadly, being an English tourist, the locals were very rude and hostile. It left a very bad impression on the Welsh welcome. However,I plan to visit again, and hope for a much more friendly welcome next time.
I've heard bad things too about the locals, but on my visits I found the people there to be fine. I also went to a match at Caernarfon Town and found them very welcoming. Caernarfon Castle is the only place anyone has ever spoken to me in Welsh (I'm English but a member of Cadw, the Welsh Heritage organisation) as she saw my card and expected me to be Welsh. It created no bother she immediately switched to English when I replied in English.
Oh how funny! I've vlogged there, too!! Lovely to see it again!
Great tour my friends, beautiful castle and old houses.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the tour, never been to Caernarfon, but it's on the list now👍
Hello again my friend, let's enjoy your video!!! Greetings from Mallorca 🇪🇸♥️🇺🇾
Thank you very much

Sorry to hear you were treated badly, we had a great welcome, we especially enjoyed Anglesey...
