I've been through a very hard time in my life but I am strong and I'm showing my children how strong they can be. When I pass away, I want my children to play this song at my funeral to remind to continue to be strong. Here's to strong women: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. 💪❤️
I live in a matriarchal family. Do I feel suppressed as a man? No, I do not. My mother gave me strength, compassion and the ability to feel all emotions. My sister showed me that women are exactly equal to men. She showed me the fire that burns bright, hot and unyielding. I am proud to have such fine examples of what women are.
Yes ❤ such a beautiful comment. Thank you. You describe exactly what matriarchal families and societies create - healthy whole women who are fully realized in who and what they are; and they in turn raise healthy, strong, good men; who are humans instead of instinct driven animals. Unlike patriarchy, which makes women oppressed and stunted, and in turn degrades men into lesser, animalistic beings. Interesting how that ends up. Perhaps the main part of it is that women are the creators of life - and patriarchy has always been about the male trying to take and control that creative force for himself. When he submits to nature and lets the flower of creation flourish uncontrolled and uninhibited; woman and man both flourish and prosper, together. Congratulations to you and your family; I wish so much that all people lived in such a way. The world would be a million times better, and would likely know peace and happiness that we currently can hardly imagine.
You know a band is incredible when they can go from chanting about trampling you to death on horseback to a heartfelt tribute to the women in their lives and both songs are freaking awesome
Agreed, and tbh, this is the power of masculinity that people seem to forget nowadays....fierce warrior and defender by day, gentle and loving by night.

Here is the lyrics of The Hu (English Translation): The palm tree grows and flowers As she sings softly, my soul retains Honorable lady Compassionate and delicate The Argali springs and flies in the mountains Her fondness melts me languidly Honorable lady Compassionate and lovely The birds sing and tweet in the blue sky They are happy and joyful in their souls Honorable lady Compassionate and mesmerizing With the precious words of your forefathers With the milk blessed road of your mother's, the true path With the power of love for your motherland Have a fighter spirit in your body, be steady As if you were a sword with a sharp blade As if you were an arrow ready to shoot, spring and fly, ride and rise
The contrast of the men's voices with Lzzy's higher sound is very compelling. Contrasting and complementary at the same time. Her voice is so clear while the guys blend together and seem to surround the listener. Like a light in a dark room. Great effect, great song.
That would be songwriter Daska (Bayarmagnai Dashdondog), who researched 9 years before forming the band and continues as the HU's producer. An altogether amazing fellow, imo.
The Hu’s extremely masculine style repurposed to a sweet sounding song praising femininity works unbelievably well. It has the feel of a great warrior, after many great battles and accomplishments, realizing how much he misses his wife
which is at odds with the fact that the old Mongolians, especially Genghis Khan's generation (and most likely his person) were an actual rape culture: one key motivating factor behind their conquests was to rape
@@evanpwns09 how is that at odds with what he said? From that article: "As many nomadic men were relatively poor, it was a common custom merely to steal a wife during a raid, never mind any political benefits". And that's with mongol women, he was referring to rape when invading and pillage other countries/peoples. Mind you, I'm not saying it is true, but that article does nothing to refute it.
@@MajorKreissack88 it more had to do with refuting the idea that mongols didnt have respect for women and they were treated as less than equals. I would simply say that what they do while out at war does not reflect their actual cultural views on women. They weren't rapey at home so the rapeyness during conflict had to have a strategic or tactical reason.
This song has always been one of my favorite Hu songs because of the power and meaning behind it... And now it has even more meaning to women in the world. It's a powerful message that we, as a whole, need to cling tightly to and embrace with every fiber of our beings.
So I hope that someone with the band maybe even The HU themselves will read this. I am old enough to have gone and seen Elvis as a kid. Grew up on bands from the seventies and eighties. I have seen most of them in concert (probably 300 concerts) from Elvis, to Motley Crue. Van Halen to The Mokees. Peter, Paul, and Mary to Elton John and The Village People. I like almost all music. Just like its easy to hear a Elvis song and instantly know its Elvis, The HU has its own distinct sound. Once a decade, someone invents a new sound. Rock, Rap, Hip Hop, Folk, Grunge. What so unique about The HU is that they can collaborate with lead singers from other groups and produce and amazing hits with each. They are not a support band, the lead singers are almost support singers for The HU. The sound is still The HU, but with each singer its different. This one may be my favorite. After this crazy virus crap is over, I can only hope they come back to the United States and finish the tour here. I don't think Ive wanted to see a band so badly live other than maybe the Eagles last concert, or John Denver. You guys are unique.....

Agreed. Most men are too prideful to admit it, but we have to learn that we are hard asses when we need to be and it's ok to be soft when we get around the women in our lives. I've got a wife I've been with since high school and a 5 year old daughter, I have no shame in admitting I melt everytime I'm around them
Robert Smith, you are like all men who know what is important. My husband became a new man the day our girl was born. He was always moral and ethical, but that baby girl transformed him. She even transformed him as a husband to me. She planted the seed of softness even I couldn't.
I was so moved by this, Lizzy has such a powerful voice. The collaboration between the musicians is a powerful energy that lifts women up, gives them a voice, a presence. I loved the way there were images of the musician's mothers, a poignant reminder we are ALL of woman born. Thank you!
Seeing the photos of the band's mothers/important mother figures appear in the video is so heart warming and makes my eyes teary. What a beautiful tribute.
This is unbelievably good. They've managed to position Lzzy's vocals and the Hu's throat singing so well that they retain their own characters yet they work together so well. Not cheesy at all. So moving.
I fucking LOVE how much passion is in this video. You can absolutely see how much Lzzy enjoyed working with them. Absolutely beautiful work by both artists.
I have come across this powerful masterpiece 3 years too late, but I am glad I did. I feel truly, truly blessed. It is a reminder of my roots. I was raised by both strong, honest men, and strong, honest women. The men showed me how to be a man, and all of the responsibilities and consequences, both good and bad, of being a man. The women in my family showed me how to be tough, but compassionate. Strong, yet yielding. Empathic, but not a sucker. They showed me it was okay to be in touch with my feelings, but not be controlled by them. I love and admire their strength, fortitude, and most important, their love. They literally brought forth life. They taught me to put family first. The men taught me how to defend my family to my dying breath. The women taught me how, as far as I could as a man, to nurture and teach. The women in my life, from the beginning to now, have been a source of inspiration and strength, and I am the better man for it. Gracias Mami, my sister Sonia, Tia's Lillian and Angela, Christi and Kathy. May God bless you always.

This song is an homage to mothers more than it is just for women. But as a woman, I feel great strength listening to this track. They chose Lizzie to sing because they knew a fellow strong woman when they saw one. Regardless, what I see is men connecting with women. I love the way he puts his hand on her shoulder and looks her in the eye. Thats true masculinity, not threatening, just guiding her. A true man will uplift those around him rather than thinking they're weaker or less than. Thanks Hu. You almost made me forgot what it felt to be a woman until I knew real men. ❤❤❤ - sincerely, a fan.

The fact that they had the good taste to get Lzzy Hale to sing on this, and trusted her to add her own lyrics to this to extol the (many) virtues of women, is more than OK by me. The fact that The Hu had the guts to end a ballsy and powerful album with a sensitive ballad about how awesome women can be says a lot to me, and her vocals on this already lovely song made me tear up a bit, I admit.
agreed, its just a really moving tune. Especially when you read the translation along with that Lzzy added its just a really great song. Much like all of Hus songs its very impactful.
the song always resonated with me but seeing the video and just them being so tender with each other during their performance gave me goosebumps. such a loving feeling all around.
My parents gave me a good foundation for life. This year, I saw my mother lose her best friend of 50 years, my Dad. I saw my mother's strength as she, as well as my sister and I all helped take care of him. Today, I saw her strength again, as we had my father's Military Funeral and graveside service. She and I kept it together, till I heard the bugler play Taps. I am her and my father's son, I did his eulogy, because no one else could. I was so glad to see my Mom smile when I recounted times we had. This is such a beautiful song, and so glad I introduced it to my daughter, my father's granddaughter.
I've listened to this song so many times because it is empowering to me and I love it, and I only JUST realized that the drums not only mimic a human heart beat, but a human heart beat at resting rate. You guys are bloody genius and I love you for it.
Its International women’s day in Mongolia today. I wish all women around the world stay equal as men. We Mongols have long history of respecting and caring for women. We consider mother as our one and only god. We are known for our musculinity culture such as fierce warriors, conquering. But in my opinion real musculinism highly respect women and we do. Men must respect women. We wouldnt be here if there is no woman. Woman is life, light and hope.
The thing is that cultures like the Mongols and Native Americans have are very unique. Too bad modern equality movements do not take a page out of those books. It isn't about who is better, it is about the harmony that is between the People.
Us Apache, as well as the majority of indigenous Americans, also recognize the woman as life Giver: literally 98% of our first Nations are matriarchal, most of which have a reputation for being fierce Warriors as well. Love and respect from the USA and Native America All My Relations 🙏🦅🌲🇺🇸
Lzzy Hale and her beautiful but also strong voice along with the throaty voices of The Hu is a great, exotic, and amazing combination! It is so magnetic! I am absolutely fascinated with this song!
no it will, the music industry follows the crazy demand we currently have in the market, they are just supplying it with a bunch of formulatic shit, reasons for those styles might be highly related to the way our lifestyles are developing, but attention on that kind of casuality won't last forever because many of them follow societal trend changes, be it technology or politics, or simply covid lol. All aesthetics can be invented, changed, trended and out-consumed to be aesthetically fatigue, so I believe in them, it's no biggie as long as they keep at it, they will have their apex moments
My mom died last November at her 93rd. Very big part of me is lost. When listening to this song just coming back to my life when my mother was still alive.
@@FynnAkaFynn They're both masters of their craft, and they each have different strengths and preferences for how to sing - one could argue that they don't even sing in the same genre. There's no reason to juxtapose them this way. What I _would_ like to see would be them collaborating together. That would be friggin' awesome.
Beauty made men and women- we complement each other so beautifully... We were all cherished with their magnificent presence and poweful sound tonight in Madrid... I am full of gratitude to you, proud mongol men!❤
We've all been exactly where you are. So stoked to discover this pure Mongolian badassery. Welcome! I saw them live in LA last year. Amazing. If you ever have the chance to see them -- go!
I love that she didnt seem out of place but she never ceased to seem like herself. Some artists work in another band and feel totally different, which isn't bad, but she didn't give up an inch of her style.
I was not at all expecting this. Well done Lzzy and as always amazing work from the Hu. Easily one of go to artists ive found in awhile. Only regret is not having known of them sooner
The HU's 4 lead singers (Gala, Enkush, Temka, and Jaya) do a magnificent job, blending well with Lzzy Hale and her strong, complementary lyrics. But a special shout-out goes to The HU's fabulous drummers, young Ono and Odko. Solid work from that pair!! 💪💪
lzzy Hale is the best vocalist of today she beats beyond, depth, volume, extension and a lot of technical mastery. She is as if Freddie Mercury and Robert Plant had a daughter She is the last breath for rock n roll, one of the best things that happened to rock, good to see women rocking and having more balls than men.
My mother passed one year ago today and I found this song by accident. I want to believe that it was her way of saying she's ok now and we will see each other again. Thank you for a great song.
I was going to try to praise this song but it’s been so well said already. …it made me cry with the satisfaction of being validated as a woman. I’ve only discovered Hu yesterday and their impact on my soul is already immeasurable. Thank you.
I’m sorry you needed to feel validated. But I’m glad you found a positive message in this song. People forget they although men and women are different, it’s the differences that compliment each other. Through those strengths and weaknesses, they balance humanity. And isn’t balance being equal?
@@OxTheHerdzz I have been listening to them for years. I think they ruined all their songs by adding these industry bands to the mix. The intended outcome happened but it turned me very much away.
some people think that abusing women and looking down on them is the peak of masculinity. Good people know that respecting women is the real peak of being a man
What really puts it over the top for me were the pictures of all their mothers in the video. That really put the tears in my eyes. I can't imagine how proud they all must be of their kids.
After a year, this song still brings me to tears. The original was a worshipful paen to women. With Lzzy's vocals and lyrics, it is a hallelujah and apotheosis and powerful cry from the very soul of what it is to be woman.
I had to tell my mom about this band because my parents always loved Tuvan throat singing. Too bad my dad passed away before he got to hear about The Hu. My mom is about to turn 70, but The Hu just gained a new fan.

Very true. It's rare that I like any new bands, but I loved their music the first time I heard them.

Here is the lyrics of The Hu (English Translation):
The palm tree grows and flowers
As she sings softly, my soul retains
Honorable lady
Compassionate and delicate
The Argali springs and flies in the mountains
Her fondness melts me languidly
Honorable lady
Compassionate and lovely
The birds sing and tweet in the blue sky
They are happy and joyful in their souls
Honorable lady
Compassionate and mesmerizing
With the precious words of your forefathers
With the milk blessed road of your mother's, the true path
With the power of love for your motherland
Have a fighter spirit in your body, be steady
As if you were a sword with a sharp blade
As if you were an arrow ready to shoot, spring and fly, ride and rise
Thank you!
Thank you so very much. This makes the song even more........yeah, you know.
Thank you kind man!
You sir are awesome!

The contrast of the men's voices with Lzzy's higher sound is very compelling. Contrasting and complementary at the same time. Her voice is so clear while the guys blend together and seem to surround the listener. Like a light in a dark room. Great effect, great song.
whoever introduced this band to the world deserves to be honoured
That would be songwriter Daska (Bayarmagnai Dashdondog), who researched 9 years before forming the band and continues as the HU's producer. An altogether amazing fellow, imo.
The horor goes to all the family of warriors that protect our freedim Women it takes a Village to raise the next generatio and so on n so on
I so agree!! Well said.

What a fantastic song. Any real man who loves his mother, Wife, Sister or partner will understand this.

Thank you!

This is unbelievably good. They've managed to position Lzzy's vocals and the Hu's throat singing so well that they retain their own characters yet they work together so well. Not cheesy at all. So moving.

there is a video with her talking about the making of this song/video

Thanks Hu. The fact that they had the good taste to get Lzzy Hale to sing on this, and trusted her to add her own lyrics to this to extol the (many) virtues of women, is more than OK by me.

The music industry goes with whatever is trending. Thats where the money is.
no it will, the music industry follows the crazy demand we currently have in the market, they are just supplying it with a bunch of formulatic shit, reasons for those styles might be highly related to the way our lifestyles are developing, but attention on that kind of casuality won't last forever because many of them follow societal trend changes, be it technology or politics, or simply covid lol. All aesthetics can be invented, changed, trended and out-consumed to be aesthetically fatigue, so I believe in them, it's no biggie as long as they keep at it, they will have their apex moments

Welcome to the world of The HU! 🎵🌏🌍🌎🎵
Welcome!!!!!! Much love!
Agree.
I’m sorry you needed to feel validated. But I’m glad you found a positive message in this song. People forget they although men and women are different, it’s the differences that compliment each other. Through those strengths and weaknesses, they balance humanity. And isn’t balance being equal?
This group literally cannot sound bad, I love every note they play
OH is that so. Name every note they've every played in reverse alphabetical order.
And then they added Lizzy Hale and ruined it
@@OxTheHerdzz The original version is still there for you.
There is absolutely nothing to hate about this band
@@OxTheHerdzz I have been listening to them for years. I think they ruined all their songs by adding these industry bands to the mix. The intended outcome happened but it turned me very much away.
GOD BLESS ALL WOMEN.....WITHOUT THEM WE MEN WOLD'NT BE HERE.............PERIOD.........AYE
This song gives me the chills..and it brings me to tears. This is a POWERFUL song. So absolutely beautiful 🖤
This is one song I can have on repeat and I’ll get the feels every time.
We needed a song like this.
I totally agree with you Denise.
Legit best song ever and her voice is mesmerizing
Goose bumps⛤⛤⛤
This was so powerfully beautiful, it brought tears to my eyes and soul.
E O I couldn’t agree more.
Why is this so freaking majestic, but bad ass at the same time...
some people think that abusing women and looking down on them is the peak of masculinity. Good people know that respecting women is the real peak of being a man
The shots of each individual and their mother hit HARD.
The Hu... sings a song about Chingis Khan and how mighty the Mongols are. Followed up by a heartfelt song about loving their mothers. Respect.
I love you and miss you so so very much my dearest Mother. May we meet again in HEAVEN.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. The visuals of the band members with their mothers brought a tear to my eye.
I had to tell my mom about this band because my parents always loved Tuvan throat singing. Too bad my dad passed away before he got to hear about The Hu. My mom is about to turn 70, but The Hu just gained a new fan.
OMG!!! I'm a woman and this song just about pierced my soul! I listened to it 3 times in a row and I had chills the whole time!
It almost made me long for my own ancestors...Celtic and Viking.
To The HU Band: I know this song is not written for me personally. But, Thank you for this song. :) I LOVE all of your Music, especially your first album and this is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I don't understand your noble and ancient language and have always wondered was the translation is. Again, thank you!
I'm a man and it gives me chills, the fusion of her voice with the throat singing is amazing.
