Going to throw propably the most obscure reference ever, but you guys made to music almost exactly the sound I imagined in my head for the Tufa to play, in particular the Rockhouse Hicks side of the tribes in the phenomenal novel series called Tufa by Alex Bledsoe. And that's a damn big complement. 😁

This is truly what is meant when the term Progressive Music is used, it goes through so many layers and styles of music, progressing fluidly from one to another. It doesn't fit any particular genre because it encompasses so many different ones - which is the way it is supposed to be as Music can be the common dominator that can change the world!

Can confirm! My band Tetrasteede opened for the in Louisville in 2019 and they are an amazing band and an amazing group of guys!
Seen them twice. Last time was with Zakk Sabbath. One of the guys next to us thought Native Howl was a country band. Friend told him "They're going to melt your fucking face off." And they didn't disappoint.
@@timbisel4600 My kids were blown away by them. They were not really wanting to see them and I told them they will not be disappointed.....they weren't! When the mosh pit was going during the banjo solo they were sudden Native Howl converts!

I still remember the first time Alex performed this song at Folk in the Woods about 8 years ago. It was 1:30am at our camp site. Loved it then with just a guitar and a harmonica and love it now. It's always been one of my favorite Howl songs.

Love The Soul Crying Out For Mercy On This. Well done. :) Just stumbled on this via the TH-cam algorithm. Excellent composition, tight guitar licks when needed. dynamic vocal lines with a touch of voracity and intensity. Love the build up. The visuals tie it all together. I do not typically listen to this type of music as often but this is changing my mind. Wait I was just blown away by that change up at the end. At 2:30. Love the guitar lick to the bass lick to the pause and the jump back in. Sick nasty.

I saw a post on Twitter (won't call it X 😂) about a song featuring Lzzy Hale. That got me and now got a an awesome band to listen to now. The beginning of the song is so cool with the guitar and both voices just was a perfect match. Lzzy and Dorothy are my 2 favorite female rock voices right now. You get either of them you are golden.

- Being able to play your instruments quite well.
- Being strong, solid songwriters.
- Wanting to do something unique. It's very hard to succeed at music. If you fail, might as well fail doing something you want to, rather than something you don't.

This song is awesome. Lzzy kills it on vocals and the "stripped back" early parts of the song really highlight her voice. I love the way the song just builds and builds to a kick ass, high energy ending. As someone who never heard of The Native Howl before, super impressed with their sound, their musicianship, and their lead singers voice. Definitely going to have check out the rest of their stuff now.
