He didn't die like the video shows (video is historically incorrect) he defected to the Manchus after Galdan's death due to his successor Tseveenravdan purging all Galdan loyalists. Not fair and I pay my premium cost, two dollars sort of twenty not a whole lot but maybe we should just pay the artist instead. I wonder who gets what when I die. Same here. I love The Hu, but Serj's name was the main reason I selected this song first, so I was sitting here just kinda listening for him to come in, then BAM! You hear his voice cut right through, all the way to the hair follicles on the back of your neck. It never really occurred to me before this, but the sound of Serj's voice is _such_ a perfect complement to The Hu's sound. He _really_ needs to collab with them more. An entire album together other guest features on a few songs would be my dream album right now

I've loved this band since the first time I heard them about 8 yrs ago. At first I couldn't understand then I had the lyrics translated. The thing I love the most is the songs have meaning. Some are of war, family, and even their mother's. But they all have a very deep meaning

As always, LOVE. Great mix of the traditional HU sounds with the addition of the two male guest vocalists. (I'm not sure which is which but they both sound amazing.) Love the mention of "the mother of our people"; its so great to see the legacy of women represented in hard rock music. Also the warlord's mother insisting on kissing her son goodbye before battle and how he isn't ashamed of it. I know its a skit and they were acting but also great to see. 👏
It would have been fine if at the end they had Serj sing black thunder in his falsetto rasp as the strings were bringing an end to the entire thing like SOAD did in Question!
Serj has added his vocals but shows ultimate respect in the sense he didn't use his physical presence or fame to steal light from the message the hu portray, he's the GOAT artist ❤

Over 8 years ago on Asia's Got Talent Khusugtun introduced the rest of the world Mogolian throat singing, I was in awe with their signing skills and also saddened that my fellow countrymen laughed or were weirded out by the Khusugtun's performance. I am a church choir singer and a member of a smaller local tribe in the Philippines, so I partly understand the difficulty and dedication placed into voicing and singing parts for a song and I appreciate how you have made something "tribal" survive into the present day.

I saw the HU live in Boise. Besides their obviously astronomical talent, they are knocking the doors down wherever they go, and I can see why. They've networked with Jacoby Shaddix (legend), made a hell of a Metallica cover, and now they're working with Serj Tankian (legend). And who the hell does all the videography and the editing? I feel like their production value is better than about 90% of what's in Hollywood or NYC these days.

Over 8 years ago on Asia's Got Talent Khusugtun introduced the rest of the world Mogolian throat singing, I was in awe with their signing skills and also saddened that my fellow countrymen laughed or were weirded out by the Khusugtun's performance.
I am a church choir singer and a member of a smaller local tribe in the Philippines, so I partly understand the difficulty and dedication placed into voicing and singing parts for a song and I appreciate how you have made something "tribal" survive into the present day.

I saw the HU live in Boise. Besides their obviously astronomical talent, they are knocking the doors down wherever they go, and I can see why. They've networked with Jacoby Shaddix (legend), made a hell of a Metallica cover, and now they're working with Serj Tankian (legend). And who the hell does all the videography and the editing? I feel like their production value is better than about 90% of what's in Hollywood or NYC these days.
Serj added a whole different level of mystical elements to this song. good stuff
