Suggestions; For an NRA video the production quality really needs upgrading. First, shoot in hi res. It's hard to appreciate details in 360p. Second, get some lighting on the subject; the speaker and the rifle he's holding are murky to say the least. Third, SLOW DOWN the delivery of the copy. Many words are being lost in a rush to get it all out. Thanks from a long-time NRA member and supporter-
Here's hoping two things; 1. the 1873 will be more like the "Pre-1964" Winchester lever guns, not like the sloppy, rattling garbage that was supposed to be the 1894's that followed 2. This 1873 (if good quality like the pre-64), will eventually be released in .44 magnum.
We have a 92 and a 73, both made by Miroku, and a 94 made by Winchester. Quality and workmanship on the Mirokus is far better than any original Winchester that I've seen.
I have one of these Mirouko rifles and can honestly say I am very happy with the fit and finish of this rifle. As well, it was a "tack driver" right off the shelf. The price was a bit disappointing, but none the less, with very little polish work I can say this is the smoothest working lever gun I have ever used. The Japanese do excellent work and this rifle shows it.
Japans Winchester Rifle Not Americas Winchester Rifle ! Just because Winchester is rolled on the barrel . Don't make it a Winchester . Its still a copy and at . Twice the price as a Uberti copy !
So? The quality is excellent and at least it's still available. If there was a U.S. factory capable of delivering equivalent fit and finish at a competitive price I'm sure they'd have chosen it. Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case.
Yeah! We'll show them! We're going to start making Arisaka rifles here in the USA! Dood, chill. The Miroku rifles are great quality. Winchester made the decision to shut down gun production in the US due for economic reasons. The haven't made high quality rifles since 1964 anyway.
The company that makes them, makes Browning guns. High quality for these days productions. The last American made Winchester’s were spotty quality. Pre 64 Winchester, perhaps pre 1900 ,were master pieces.
The gun that won the West. A legend and I love it
Got one made 1891, been rebarreled with a 94 Winchester in 44-40. Great shooter !

Winchester model 1873s were in 44/WCF, 38WCF and a few other calibers not .357 magnum.

Made in Japan !...NO THANKS !!!
.In all honesty I've shot the new 1873s and there hasn't been a repeating rifle built of this quality in the USA since before the War.

So a browning isn't a browning if it says Japan? I'm glad we have these 1873s as opposed to not...
