    I'm always using wrist wrench with multispinner and what I realize is that. The wrist wrench gives a lot of strenght and power to the hand. The wrist wrench gives arm wrestling power. The multispinner is teaching you how to use that power on certain angles and with the table time. You can become very strong and technical arm wrestler. Thank you for all these videos. Have a nice day, brother. 👊

    Wrist wrenches feel much more like holding onto a hand, and (in my case) actually feel more comfortable to hold onto too. Rolling handles dig into one point too much, whereas with a wrist wrench it feels like the pressure is more spread out through the whole hand/fingers

    Very helpful. My main takeaway was "if you have two, two and a half inches, you can use it for absolutely anything". 😜 11:27

    Finally broke down and made a wrist wrench. I love it! Feels just like someone trying to twist your fingers open. Im hanging up my fat grip rolling handle for a while.

    Chris, I use the D handle with a fat grip from proper angles to supplement wrist curls for my cup (focused wrist work) and I use the wrist wrench anytime I want to incorporate any hand/finger pressure. I view the D handle as superior for focused wrist strength work because a wrist wrench moves the primary point of failure to the hand/fingers. Obviously hand/finger strength is massively important part of the program too, but do you agree with this thought process, because I view my D handle work as important for wrist/cup, and not just more convenient than the wrench.

      If the vector is parallel to the forearm then the wrist wrench makes it very finger-heavy. But when your wrist is already bent and you’re doing vector work you won’t feel that much isolated finger pressure but there will still be rotation trying to open the whole hand and wrist together.

    • @darth_pronator
      @darth_pronator ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was wondering exactly that. Sounds like the wrench is just better because it works the relevant chain (fingers/hand/wrist) properly. In your strength standards video you said Mazurenko strength is highly relevant but that there are better ways to develop that that strength than using the actual Mazurenko handle. Is the wrist wrench just tool for that, or will you maybe cover that in another video? Your content is absolutely a treasure, and literally the first place I will send anyone who is interested in learning. Thanks.

      It’s fine as long as the direction is right. If you’re going to do it you have to straighten out eve try rep. Lots of people half-ass the reps and lose most of the benefit.

    Hi Chris,
    Could you explain how you organised your periodisation with arwrestling training (speed day, volume day and max effort day; foundamentals) and overall strength training (bench, elbow flexors, pull ups,etc.) pls?
    I don't know if it's appropriate to ask the question here. If not I apologise in advance.
    Thx for the tips and your content overall.

    • @ChrisDrummondAW
      @ChrisDrummondAW  ปีที่แล้ว

      The different days are just part of the conjugate philosophy. Basically all volume work is about bringing up specific weaknesses that hold back your 1rms - not spending time working on things that are already strong. I don’t do that much overall training during normal weekly work, just presses and rows on the day after speed day. I’ve got other videos talking about conjugate and other training methods.

    Hi sir.
    For a Hook armwrestler, can the cone puller replace the wrist wrench for all vectors (high and low cable attachment) since my goal is to primarily strengthen the lower fingers?

    • @ChrisDrummondAW
      @ChrisDrummondAW  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, they’re not similar handles. If your goal to strengthen the lower two fingers then do that in isolation, not for vector work.

    Whats your take on the standard wrist wrench vs wrist wrench with a strapped hand?

    • @ChrisDrummondAW
      @ChrisDrummondAW  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t like it with the strap on the hand. Puts the pressure from the wrench in a weird spot if the strap is tight enough to make a difference with grip (which I think is a negative anyway) and if it’s not that tight then it’s meaningless. It also gets in the way of my thumb.

    • @mikecartier6163
      @mikecartier6163 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ChrisDrummondAW ya thats kinda my take too. I did try my buddies strapped wrist wrench today at the gym just to see. It did give me more of a forearm /wrist pump than the more finger pressures. I think for strapped arm wrestling it may have some benefits but not too sure
