These videos are great to help novices differentiate between aesthetically training and strength training. One is more for looks, and the other is more for a result in a specific sport.
Awesome walkthrough, I really want to work this in as a part of my strength routine. As I got into heavier weights I really noticed my grip strength and forearms suffering and falling behind while working with free weights. This will hopefully help me balance it out and make sure I avoid injuries. Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
For the exercise around 8 min you can use a shovel or sledge hammer and just move further away from the metal part to increase load if you cant find something to replicate it. Used to do it when i was bored helping my grandfather in his garden
Sounds like wrist/finger stretching to regain full ROM might be a good foundation for achieving and maintaining a balanced functional state. I can do a stretching video for general wrist/finger stuff (I'm a massage therapist and personal trainer by trade) but I'm brand new to arm wrestling so ray and Janis might know better for arm wrestling specifically.
I can’t find a forearm excercise that works the inner part of my forearm. I know hammer curls work the top part I think it’s called the brachioradialis. But I never feel wrist curls in my forearms, Only I’m my wrists. I need a good exercise that isn’t a isometric contraction(do feel those in my forearms but I heard they were better for grip strength not actually forearm size)
Keep up the good work coach! One question though, why sometimes I feel so strong, ready to armwrestle, but sometimes I feel weak, no matter if I exercised or armwrestled someone, especially in the morning, sometimes even after I warmed up. Sorry for bad english, not my main language.
If you want to train ulnar deviation more properly, do ulnar deviation but without moving your wrists to the sides.. just ulnar deviation, just moving backward/forward(according what position you do by your arm, I recommend doing armwrestling position of arm and using bands proper positioned(according to what direction you move your body or arms or wrists etc) of course or machines(machines are worser, direction of resistance is bad because these lines have two halfs that move in different directions, you dont pull weights according to to what direction you move your body or arms or wrists etc)
Even though it's hard to say, but what would be considered a ''good'' curl for a 75kg armwrestler? 30kg, 40kg, 50kg, etc? It's hard to compare to other elites..
Voice of Armwrestling Any specific type? For example Igor Mazurenko doesn’t recommend monohydrate as the increase muscle size isn’t sufficient to increase in strength...
It increases how much water your body holds and usually after 2-3 weeks gets back to normal. And strength gains are quite a bit if you are natural athlete.
@Teodor Mrdenovic Igor said that because monohydrate causes water retention...only for this reason. HCL on the other hand is ~40 times more water soluble .. In armwrestling you hate water retention in fights ..in fact you do everything in the pre-fight period to get rid of excessive water in your hands (that can cause fatigue among others).. If you are a bodybuilder go ahead if you only armwrestle hcl is the way. I hope I made it clear.
Beta alanine is probably more important because while creatine gives ~5% at most to peak power and strength, beta alanine improves endurance. I never noticed much water retention from creatine because I can be taking it for weeks and weeks and forget and stop, and I don't look different or drop weight.
Thank you for making such great content. Can you make a video showing some training tips on how to specifically strengthen elbow & shoulder tendons/muscles using Weights or excersises ? The reason i am asking this, is that i got a pretty good strenght and durability in my right hand but i always end Up with some kind of shoulder or elbow ache in my left after training. But i can lift/support (depending on excersise) more Weight with my left hand in most cases than with my right. I am right handed and i think that explains why my right hand and shoulder has more endurance and durability than my left 🙄 Okay i Hope my question made sense at least. Much Love ❤️
Full channel of than. All exercises will strengthen tendons if load is big. For elbow- side press, shoulders with heavy compound movements like bench and Dumbbell presses. In balance in arms is normal. stay healthy and train smart.
Hi, thank you so much for putting out this video. What do you think, for relative noobies at least, for training back pressure vs side pressure? We see with Devon Larratt's setup he says he only does the back pressure and he'll do a triple on each arm like 5 times a day or whatever. But he showed the manner in which one could train it for "side pressure" Todd Hutchings style and yet he doesn't. Is the side pressure training damaging on the ligaments or otherwise dangerous some way? Similar to that issue, one can notice the danger of Michael Todd's old style going all on bone lock and ligaments as he would twist deep inside looking forward and trying to transition to a press. On a normal cable stack machine in a gym with a normal handle, I put it to max height and then pressed it downward twisting and converting into a press. For someone with no table practice or immediate place to start, would that be a good preparatory movement? It does not hurt my elbow but I can feel that it would if I went too heavy.
Side pressure will have more impact on tendons 100%. If you don`t have anyone to train with it will simulate the movement better than anything, making joints and bone stronger. We are doing it in our training 1-2 a week very hard. It takes tools on tendons, but you recover. Your style should be based on where you are strong not what others says. If your pushing is stronger than pulling -side press. Pulling over pushing- Backpressure.
@@voiceofarmwrestling I have plenty of progress in getting strong hands in the gym ahead of me before I might look on driving however far I have to to get to a table with people. Good to see that if I hit side pressure movements within reason it should not be bad for me.

Hi ist there any reason why you are Not using roling Handels for your First exercise...my Trainer says that IT would prevent from ingury, what are your experience about that, is it more Dangerous Like you do it?
Yes beacues if you warm up properly you will have more activation in forearm when you workout. I dont see any danger in it if you are not jumping to too heavy weights
Excellent tutorial, even for a non arm wrestler like me. But a question please, in the supination/pronation exercises why doesn’t he go all the way (I.e: 180 degree) ? Why he stops at 90 degree?
Voice of Armwrestling thanks for the reply 🙂 Another question, what is the reason of alternating the way the weight being carried? I mean , in one exercise the weight is above the arm while in the other the weight is below the arm.
When you go past 90 in the pronation/supination it switches the muscle group worked, so the pronation and supination exercises flip. If you want to get full range in those, lie on your side and adjust the hold location so you can do the full 180 each way, or you can do each one standing with the long part above your hand and then also below it, if that makes sense. Dunno if those apply differently to arm wrestling, I know forearms, not arm wrestling.

Its possible by working max effort and speed training, like they do in powerlifting.
@@voiceofarmwrestling thank you very much, thats what I thought 😁
Is there a reason to do all with thumbless grip? I feel some discomfort in my thumb, is it normal?
Take a thick handle with full grip. Take out the handle look how much space is there. Hands dont open your thumb. But its always good to switch between both.
ive been training my arms alot and have been neglecting my forearms, i want to beat one of the best people at arm wrestling in my school and ill tell u how it goes with a month of this training
And?

How much time would you say would be required in arm wrestling training to grow forearms almost as big as yours, or Vlads? I've been training for arm wrestling for about 6-7 months now. Been lifting for 5 years. Torso dominant so everything else is growing but my forearms... they just won't🙄
Few years at least. Nothing good comes fast
Does your forearms grow please reply

Is Vlad lifting 55kg or lbs on the knee wrist curls? I have a feeling its kg cuz hes a beast, but it seems incredible...😯
We are 100% metric unit country. Nothing here is writen in lbs. 55 kg / 121.4 lbs
@@voiceofarmwrestling us too, thats awesome work by Vlad to move 55kg like that. Do you guys test a 1rm on that excercise?
@@1616Rotor we dont do much of 1RM, and we don`t have bigger Dumbbells. He has done 75 kg on barbell for sets and reps.
