Stop Trying to Pronate When You Armwrestle!
Hey Chris, I can do 40kgx10 Levan's way (fat grip + same angle) with the wrist going slightly extended like you. Do you think I'm intermediate or not yet? I don't see much videos of people doing it with Levan's angle so I can't compare and I have no club or friends interested in AW. Thanks for the response
I also want to add I'm 75kg and started cupping exercises 10 months ago (I'm a streetlifter so I had a good base when starting)
Intermediate according to what?.l Let your competition results tell you how good you are.
@@ChrisDrummondAW You have a strength standards video but it doesn't include cupping so I was referring to this. I only saw Levan doing 100kg so I have now idea what is a bad/decent/good number for cupping
should I do the full rom 2 months before comp. I dont know when to start reducing rom and reps for strenght, and I have a tournament in 2 months 😅
Yeah Devon cracked Morozov amazing 🤣🤣
People dont understand that if you have your wrist in a pronated position full rom wrist curls aint going to cause any injury
Finally another full rom wrist curl enthusiast🔥
Yoshi scared me that he would win uncle Todd, greatest match that night
I was worried todd would foul out without ever having been in danger of being pinned or even moved past center.
@ChrisDrummondAW yes, thats what im talking about, I doubt Yoshi have the raw power to pin Todd but he is so sticky and endurant.
Super strong brother 💪
Are you gripping it at the top of the handle on purpose? Does it feel better than gripping it in the middle?
Any lower and the other end of the dumbbell slams into my forearm and limits ROM.
Power
Great stuff man, love it 👍
King
Powerful stuff
That card was amazing but that shit show at the end from that 🤡 was disgraceful to say the least.
I think everyone is overreacting and putting it all on Devon. Engin and Morozov are just as culpable. But to me it’s like when Lesnar pushed DC in the ring. It’s for show, or at least it started that way. I’m not a fan of pearl-clutching.
Yeah man ayane is badass
any other way to do it if i dont have 2nd chain??
@@Growguru_yt 3 feet of chain costs like $2. You have to have something to create the hard stop.
@@ChrisDrummondAW brother i came to know about you 1 week ago and i have watched many of your videos now and they are very helpful, but i have one question for you , since i started focusing more on toproll training , like i do pronation and back pressure exercises and i have been doing it for 1 month but now when ever i extend my arm anytime it hurts a little and i hear cracks in my elbow, now pain and cracks are increasing day by day please help me! 🥺🥺🙏🙏
i feel pain outer part of my elbow
Great summary. Find myself agreeing with everything you said and worded perfectly
Larrat lost it last night, totally awful and disrespectful behavior, anyone who thinks otherwise is not a fan of arm wrestling.
aha.
i Hope monster gets his shot fast. Guy is starting to have that shrimp color constantly and when you are 51 and rising weight to almost 140kg and heavy pancakes it may end quickly. Now he has to keep that shape and even improve it for like 8 months straight. If he can keep doing those lifts while adding doses and weight without something giving up, i'm surprised and willing to call him superman next summer
Based on his performance vs genadi he stands zero chance vs Levan
I think 36hour weight in is kinda joke in this sport. I'm not Oleg fan or Devon fan, but sportfan and dropping 20kg to hit a class and then bulk back up for 36 hours and be 115kg+ in 105kg class is just weird. It happens in every weight like that Adam guy was 95kg on fight day against bozhidar 82kg. I think weight in should be like 3 hours before the match in a sport like this. If you drop you are dry and weak, so you need to pull close to where you are naturally.
I agree Same day weigh in is much healthier for athletes longevity so they aren't doing dangerous cuts
awesome recap!
I think Alizhan panicked when maybe he didn't have to on that first slip under. I don't think people genuinely take Alizhan's wrist when he does that flop slip. I think he just lets them take his wrist so they fly out of his hand.
What?? If he's doing it intentionally as you're saying which I believe is the case as well then why would he panic as you're saying.
@@adnanrawashdeh3965 I'm saying he's hitting frantically, and out of impatience, he decides to slip with a flop wrist. He was worried about being unable to pin Ivan. The second start he recollected himself and had more patience. He can still do it intentionally and be panicking. It was a decision that he made in the heat of the moment because Ivan's arm was scary and not moving lol.
Maiorov was robbed big time. Even the last round there was no foul, refs was doing everything to help Samushia. This match and the devon match the only two matches that pisses me off.
He was beat fairly
❤. It was awesome
I said the same thing about Mike. Seeing him in person is crazy. He's way bigger in person than on video or picture. Dude is huge.
I feel for Maiorov, first round refs delayed his win by 5sec, than 2nd round he 💯 won , Davits wrist was below the pad (watch a replay), and than a total trash started refs started chatting with Davit in georgian and Vladimir lost concentration
it was a great event some real close matches but mostly went as expected, Yoshi was really the surprise with that performance! but man the refs need to be better really disappointing in the Maiorov match its like they dont have the confidence to give some calls how is this the best refs in the whole sport looking that devon and morozov got interesting with him cracking artyom's wrist maybe a lefty match after morozov loses to vitaly???? +would it be possible for you to do a watch along streams in the upcoming events? that would be awesome!
Bro morozovs wrist💀
TH-cam algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... yes, MANY wars on this EvW! and Devon dominating Oleg is how i thought it was going to go really. how can there be ANYONE in 105kg to beat Devon?? no way. YOSHI is BACK!! i'm very happy to see he's at a really good level to have that kinda match vs the Toddzilla, WOW! i was worried he might be too far away from the sport to have a 1st match come back vs someone like Toddzilla! \ and will Oleg Zhokh ever get to his previous peak? Rino is so versatile, endurance, conditioning is GREAT!
I’m telling you Devon might crack Morozov.
Devon’s left when he trains it is lethal. He may get back near the top with it.
@@Dmgolfer22hoenstky in the last KOTT event they should’ve had Devon pull Morozov both on right and left. Would’ve literally destroyed Morozov and him cry
He already did lol
While I believe that Devon did have to lose a lot of weight he didn't lose the amount he is claiming. I don't know why anyone believes his weight claims at this point. And of course the actual weigh-in was in secret just like always at East vs West.
Would controlling the negative be more applicable for arm wrestling?
Stopping halfway down would be but a slow negative is more for bodybuilding purposes.
@@ChrisDrummondAW I’ve always understood the slow negative is important for bodybuilding no doubt but also a huge driver of connective tissue growth right?
@@jstetty482 Armwrestling is alot of more about tendons
Hey chris , plzz make videos on how to not get hooked and also maintaining back pressure on posting toproll (travis)...also some excercise on them( for anti hook posting toproll)😢😢😢😢
Excellent video sir. Insightful comments as always. I hope you can upload more. I watch your videos over and over again, each time learning something new and useful.
when did you first hit 150 for 6? its my current goal to hit 70kg for a good rep some day
Around the time I started armwrestling my PR was 165x3. So 5-6 years ago. It is something I haven’t trained at all until this year. I’m kind of in a base building phase so I’ve been doing this sort of lift instead of specific armwrestling stuff.
It will be a huge deal and a massive upset if Vladimir beats Samushia, because Samushia is so battle tested now, has been tested in every match and been put to the brink in so many rounds and yet still came out on top that it becomes unrealistic to think anyone can take him down in that weight class
Insightful breakdowns and predictions Chris. Great to meet you at East versus West 14 by the way.
170 kg?
Lol hell no
My guy, that is some Prime Denis and Levan kind of shit. Leave it to those Hulks only.
Nice, always enjoy your predictions! 18:10 From what I gathered Alizhan was trolling, he was never beyond 115kg.
Great stuff. Looking healthy.👍
Looking leaner and stronger🔥
Tiny bit lighter.
Chris i never thanked you for the "Way of the unbreakable elbow video" or whatever the nsme was. I guess you deleted it and I can guess why. However i was one of the lucky people to watch it and wow it is unreal how strong my side pressure got and how confidently i can just blast sideways with little kickback. Now i lack pronation and rise to make that hutchings wedge stronger. Always something to work on 🗿 again thank you my brother ❤❤❤
It’s still there.
Oh no he deleted that video? It was really a special video as it advices against the common knowledge and actually makes us more injury resistant and stronger. Luckily I also watched it before it went off.
@@ChrisDrummondAW i cant find it my friend. The name was something like "The way of the unbreakable elbow" Are you sure that you didnt take it offline or just hidden ???

Are you competing at East vs West 15
Nope
@ChrisDrummondAW Hey Criss, i am currently doing Devon Larratt workout plan before i have my competition. Is it good and what should i expect
I have a video on that, i would do something different if I were you.
@@ChrisDrummondAW what
Holy shit
What do you think the Jerry vs Levan match could look like?
all in good time
Estoy de acuerdo, eres uno de los pocos que acierta con sus predicciones, sera una cartelera increible. Es bueno verte publicando otra vez 💪
I was waiting for it!
so excited for this one, great analysis.
I don’t think Devon was doing any lifting before genadi. Only table time. Bicep bothering him trying to lift.
He had definitely started doing the singles before Prudnik. But looking back I see him hitting 150s in his leadup to Ermes, not Genadi. That even strengthens my point.
Dzeranov wins 3-1
great video man always looking for your prediction videos before every event, you have a great insight. agreeing with all ur predictions except the vitaly georgi one i think vitaly is becoming unstoppable, btw i think alizhan 120 kilos wight posts were just a troll lol he's about 107 he's not cutting wight
When Engin asked him directly about that he said it wasn’t a joke. I guess anything is possible but he does look bigger than ever.
@@ChrisDrummondAW Someone on reddit said that Morozov revealed Alizhan was joking, I know it is a hearsay at this point, but I remember him like a few weeks prior in another video he was only 106kg on the scale. But who knows.
Its 4-3 overall for Vitaly vs Dzeranov at WAFs,2-2 on left and 2-1 on right for Vitaly. Dzeranov was better at 100kg,Vitaly was better at 110kg
