❤Crystal, I am in the middle of your shell blanket of a year ago. It’s so easy and also beautiful. I was taught to crochet by my mother when I was ten years old. Gave it up when I had to earn a living. Now I’m 86 and it makes my day. Your creations are so beautiful and so easy. I want you to know how much I appreciate you and your endeavors! Thank you!!❤

Love the thought that Mr. BOD will pick out yarn for you. My husband wouldn't do that as he thinks I have to much yarn. My thought you never have enough yarn. Happy Mother's DAY Crystal.
I've only started crocheting about 2 weeks ago. I made this blanket and it was so quick and easy. It's a great pattern for a beginner like me. Thanks for the great instruction.

I am coming back to crochet after stepping away for many years. Tried knitting but, for me, didn't supply the satisfaction and interest that crochet does. I am going to try to make this blanket in ivory. Thank you for your channel, videos and patterns!
That periwinkle colored yarn has got to be my personal favorite color! Thank you for a very clear and easy tutorial. It is remarkable how a truly simple pair of stitches makes a gorgeous texture. I just discovered your channel, so, yay!
Oh my gosh, I am a beginner at 73. I was about to give up. Been through many videos. Thank you thank you for giving me hope and confidence to continue on. Something about your way is the way to go for me. Can't wait to see the rest of your videos. Thanks again!
I remember Crystal saying that she doesn’t like to make blankets, so this was a very nice surprise! Totally making this with a smaller hook and my new mandala yarn!
I just met another Bag o Day crichet fan. Stop to pick up a few things and we started talking crochet and of course Crystal came up!!!! Both of us standing there talking about how good a teacher she is and how much we enjoy her!!! Thanks again , Crystal!!!!!
I've made several items using this stitch now but today I'm using it for a male scarf. I'm using Cascade Yarns, Luminosa in color 15 (kind of bronzy), and it is GORGEOUS!!! This stitch almost highlights the "highlights" in the Luminosa so it really shines. Thank you so much, Crystal!
@@nalinigsankar3072 I honestly couldn't tell you. I usually don't "measure" my scarves... I just make them about the size of "store-bought" scarves. Roughly I start with 25'ish chains, depending on the stitch I'm using. Then I just make it long enough to wrap around the neck and hang down a bit. LOL, sorry I'm not more exact. After almost 50 years of crocheting, I've learned to not be afraid to experiment. If you see a stitch you like, just play with it (using an easy to "frog" yarn in the weight you plan to use- "frog" means rip it out) until you like what you get, then do it again with any yarn you like of the same weight (DK, worsted/eran, bulky, etc).
My go-to blanket pattern. I have tried many over the years and since trying this one last year, I always end up coming back whenever I want to make a new throw blanket or a present for someone (I have a tradition of giving baby blankets to my friends and relatives when they have their first kids)... it's simple and yet comes out so pretty with all types of yarn and color combinations. It's a staple for me. Thank you for uploading!

Thank you so much Crystal! I've never made a blanket but always desired how. Now I can sit down and take my time to make one in remembrance of my mom. Not sure if I'll get through it but I'm sure gonna try. Thanks again.

I don't know how you do it Crystal, but you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful patterns!! Your brain must be going constantly and we get to reap the benefits :) Thanks so much for another beautiful pattern!!!
As others have stated. I too was looking for a quick throw pattern. My mom's been on me for awhile to make a new one for her sofa. Just finished a baby blanket using this pattern and about to start another one that will be bigger for an adult. Thank you for making tutorials. I save ones I want to make to watch later as I am making each project and it has helped me so much.
When I had my first baby,he woke me up screaming really badly. I ran to his crib Couldn't find anything wrong at all. Then I looked at his little hands. One of them was purple. He had wound his fingers around a hole in his blanket. Poor little man. I never used a blanket with holes again in bed. Only if I had him in my arms. It does matter.
I used a similar pattern for baby afghans years & years ago but had forgotten it. Thanks for the demonstration. It’s simple to do yet elegant in appearance. It’s an easy pattern to sit & watch TV.
Thank you Crystal for sharing this pattern. I am making my granddaughter this pattern into a queen blanket in Caron One Pound in color Sunflower. She is a teacher and moving in August to Florida to take a new job. That means new apartment. I am so excited to make this for her. Thank you again. I LOVE your style of teaching. I just finished *knitting* a full afghan so I wanted my next project to be something fast and easy! (My knitting takes forever!) I knew I could find the perfect crochet project by going to your channel. Thanks Crystal!!
I am making this as a large blanket right now for a gift and it is gorgeous! I am using a beautiful burgundy yarn from Europe. I can't remember if you are okay with me calling out yarn brands or not, so I'm not going to say the brand of yarn... but it is stunning. It's fast, easy, and working up quick! Thank you so much for your pattern.
I'm a 55 yr old beginner lol. I was looking for a beginner friendly pattern and I found not only this but you! I love your channel. I cant wait to finish this throw and try something new. Thank you for your time and talents Crystal.
Your instructions are so easy to follow. The filming of the making of the stitches and where to put the hook by stretching out your previous row has answered many questions for me. You really are a most excellent instructor. Like others have said, using a combination of simple stitches creates beautiful final products. Blessings to you.
this was my very first “big” crochet project for my friend’s new baby. your video was so easy to follow and the stitches were very forgiving for small mistakes. the blanket turned out beautifully!
I love this pattern. I struggle sometimes keeping my stitch count on things that have really long rows. This pattern makes it super obvious where I should be. Thank you for the very well made and super helpful video.
Hi Crystal. I love this stitch. It works up so pretty. I'm using 4 different colors. Dark Orchid, pale yellow, a brighter yellow, and dusty rose. I've been having to start and stop for household stuff, errands, and my hubby. I can't wait to see what it looks like fully finished. Thank you
Hey Crystal you are an awesome teacher. I so love this stitch and the color you chose to make it. I will definitely be making this blanket very soon. You've really taught me a lot about different yarns. You are my favorite person to watch for sure. I do have a request from you if possible. For several months I've tried to find a video on TH-cam to help me make standard pillow shams to match a blanket I made for my bed. I used the granny stripe stitch. I've been trying to figure it out myself but not having much luck yet. I'm really surprised there really aren't any videos on making shams for a bed. There seem to be all kinds of videos for every other size of pillows to make. Why not for regular shams you take in and out? I thought there would be lots of videos for how to do it. Who wouldn't want matching shams for blankets. I would be so grateful for your help if possible. Please let me know if you can help me out. Thank you for everything you do. Again you are awesome. 😊
I decided to make my girls 5&6 blankets for their birthdays coming up in January and March because they've really struggled with my separation. Your instructions were great to follow for practically a beginner. I can't wait to finish!
Thanks Crystal, beautiful blanket. You asked what we might like for tutorials. I'm working on 3 blankets right now and was looking for borders to use and I thought maybe different border tutorials and/or even basic stitches tutorials might be view a lot. Any way love all you videos and that I retired ... crocheting is what I fill my days with (includes watching TH-cam to learn and plan what's next on my hook) BIG THANK YOU!!
I ended up doing a modified version of this stitch. I did a multiple of 2 and did only the sc and one dc rather than sc, dc, dc, skipping one stitch between the clusters instead of two. It still has the same cool look without so much of the 'popcorn' effect. Thanks for the inspiration!
I really admire the way you do your tutorials . This pattern is so beautiful when it’s made up into a blanket yet grey for beginners on up. The color of the yarn is so pretty too. Can’t believe I don’t have it in my Caron stash lol 😂 ordering now! Blessings and thank you for all you do ♥️
I buy the yarn at micheals when i can get the 30% coupon. I also get seniors discount. My friend buys one and i buy the other one. I use 2 balls for one baby blanket. This makes the yarn affordable.
This is a very pretty stitch. I could probably work this stitch into the baby hats that I make for my local hospital's nursery and NICU. Thanks, Crystal!
Thank you Crystal for this! What a great tutorial! I'm only a beginner but I managed to make such a lovely blanket following this. So pleased and so grateful to you. Love your channel and you are wonderful!
My grandmother taught me this stitch so long ago. It is one of my favorite and works up so quick. Thanks for the video and reminding me about this stitch.
You never cease to amaze me! If I was half as good as you with your knowledge of yarn, tutorials, giveaways ect, I would be tickled pink! Luv ya tell Mr bod hello
Thank you for your tutorial. It was so easy to followed and understand as a beginners myself. 🥰 Your blanket came out beautifully! I love that color! I can’t wait to start my blanket now. Thank you again!
Oh Crystal! What a gorgeous blanket! I really thought that this was going to be so much more difficult. You explained this so well. This is one that I will have to try! I LOVE it!
You can add chains by putting your hook into the first chain then work a few new ones in the opposite direction...or you can take some off by just unthreading the beginning tail. Some times you can just count wrong and it sucks to take that whole foundation row out
I am new to crochet, i just finished one of your scarf for beginner and enjoyed..next it is this blanket! THANK YOU for sharing this beautiful blanket!

I'm a 55 yr old beginner lol. I was looking for a beginner friendly pattern and I found not only this but you! I love your channel. I cant wait to finish this throw and try something new. Thank you for your time and talents Crystal.
Beautiful stitch & color.
Thank you ❤
Your instructions are so easy to follow. The filming of the making of the stitches and where to put the hook by stretching out your previous row has answered many questions for me. You really are a most excellent instructor. Like others have said, using a combination of simple stitches creates beautiful final products. Blessings to you.
Found my next throw! Thank you Crystal 💟💟💟
this was my very first “big” crochet project for my friend’s new baby. your video was so easy to follow and the stitches were very forgiving for small mistakes. the blanket turned out beautifully!
Nothing better than a super easy pattern that delivers ultimate impact. Thanks again Lady... You're the best on here.
I love this pattern. I struggle sometimes keeping my stitch count on things that have really long rows. This pattern makes it super obvious where I should be. Thank you for the very well made and super helpful video.
You are by far my favourite! I love your patterns, and I love your tutorials. Thank you!❤️
Hi Crystal. I love this stitch. It works up so pretty. I'm using 4 different colors. Dark Orchid, pale yellow, a brighter yellow, and dusty rose. I've been having to start and stop for household stuff, errands, and my hubby.
I can't wait to see what it looks like fully finished. Thank you
Hard to believe this beautiful blanket is so easy! I will definitely be making this one...thank you Crystal!!!
I’m an avid knitter and love this pattern so I’m gonna try it. Crocheting is so fast. I’m hopeful I’m gonna give it a try. It’s beautiful
Love the texture!
Thank you ❤
I just watched and made a swatch of this design. Once I got used to it, it worked up pretty quickly. I really like this stitch.
Thank you, Crystal for another simple yet beautiful blanket!
Hi Crystal, I made a scarf and a king size afghan. I showed my daughter and her boyfriend would like one. You are so good at what you do. Thank you
Hey Crystal you are an awesome teacher.
This is so simple yet beautiful. Will make one when I finish my project I have going. Thank you so much Crystal.
Yes boarders would be great, they give a great finish to a special blanket. Thank you.
Adding this one to my crochet “to-do” list! Thanks Crystal
Me too
I ended up doing a modified version of this stitch.
I love this Crystal, I’m going to make a baby blanket!! Thank you!!
I don't usually watch the tutorials, but this one looked different. What a pretty pattern for such simple stitches. Thank you Crystal for the pattern.
Thank you Crystal for this! What a great tutorial! I'm only a beginner but I managed to make such a lovely blanket following this. So pleased and so grateful to you. Love your channel and you are wonderful!
Hi dear I want to make a twin size blanket and can you tell me how many stitch I need to make it
My grandmother taught me this stitch so long ago. It is one of my favorite and works up so quick. Thanks for the video and reminding me about this stitch.
Love this. Saving for after I finish the 2 baby blankets I'm working on now! ❤️❤️❤️
I just finished a baby boy blanket using your tutorial. Wish I could post a picture. Caron Cape Cod, Seafoam and White. Thank you Crystal!❣
Oh Crystal! What a gorgeous blanket! I really thought that this was going to be so much more difficult. You explained this so well. This is one that I will have to try! I LOVE it!
Love this shell pattern, looks amazing, starting a scarf today. Thanks for always being amazing. You should have your on tv crochet show.
Ahhh! Absolutely love this! I'm making this after I'm done making one of your bags!
Still come back to this tutorial time and time again. So easy and pretty. Thanks as always Crystal 💜🇬🇧
I started making my own pattern blanket then realized I didn’t chain enough so I think I will take it apart and start this one instead. 😂😂
