While looking for the right yarn to make a project today, I was at Hobby Lobby and a lady asked me if I crochet, which I told her I do. She was new to crochet and wanted to practice making stitches by crocheting a dishcloth. I led her to the I Love This Cotton. She wanted some help by watching how the stitches are made and I told her about your site, Crystal. She subscribed right away. I told her that you were a very good teacher and would teach her a lot about crochet

I love watching you. I can understand your teaching. November I found out I have a very rare cancer. Now when I go to check my bloodwork, now I am taking in crochet hats for the other patients. Winter is moving in and it’s really cold. When you don’t have hair it’s worse. And I made it in to Joann’s today and got some yarn. Thanks for telling us about the sale. Blessings to you and your family.

Wow! This stitch is SO much fun! It does take a lot of yarn. However, it's worth it. And yes. I totally agree with you about being able to work this pattern and watch tv. As others have said, you ARE a great teacher! And, I have passed you along to others that are starting out learning how to crochet. The internet was not around back when I first started over 50 years ago. After my grandma taught me the very basics, I was self-taught. I can only imagine how different it would have been to have had someone like around. Thank you for all the hard work you do for us by making and passing your tutorials. Kudos to you! ❤️

Boy, you weren't kidding about zipping right along with this one. Nice thick stitch, too! I'm a little worried because it does seem like my ball is getting small faster than my scarf is growing, but if I have enough this is going to be fantastic for our current 0 degrees NY right now! Thank you, Crystal! Hugs!

Great stitch! I think I will incorporate this with another stitch for a scarf. I have to tell you again how much I appreciate how you teach. You use a white background which really helps, you show us close up, you pull the stitches apart and really show us where to place the stitch and you don't rush. You are the best teacher out here! I always tell fellow crocheters about your channel.
    Wishing you a beautiful day.💖🥰

I like this one. Easy, fast, reversable, no stitch count needed, just chain to desired width. For this stitch though, like the moss stitch, I will use a bobby pin on the chain1 at end of rows. No missing them that way. And bobby pins work easier than stitch markers. 🙂

Hi Crystal…. Thank you for the new stitch. I am making my son a 90” wide blanket for his bed. I picket out 5 colors chocolate brown, off white, goldenrod, garnet and navy blue. I want the blanket to be 90” to 100” long. It will have pieces 90” x no more than 10” connected together. Each segment with have a different stitch or pattern. I saw this in a book and thought it would be a great way to learn new stitches and possibly some mosaics. Thank you for all of the stitches you have taught me. Love this channel🌻🧶❤️🌼🌼

You are so correct this is fast once you get started and get into the swing of the stitch. I only had 6 weight yarn on hand from other crafts I do. This is gorgeous THANK YOU SO MUCH💚🧶 was hoping I could post you a picture.

Thanks Crystal, for once again teaching an old dog another “trick”. What a great stitch! When I re-entered this wonderful world of crochet earlier this year with only the basic skill of simple sc & dc, never in my wildest dream would I ever dream I’d be able to do the stitches & projects you have taught me! Nor would I have thought that I could even anticipate your next move on a limited amount of these things. I can even watch some clips that show up on my Instagram of crochet & know what stitch they are showing with their music.😃 Amazing myself when I’m crocheting, that I no longer have to rewind your tutorial for the tenth time or refer to the pattern I bought just for back up, & I can just crochet with confidence & with sheer ease & enjoyment! Thank you sweet lady for sharing your time & talent with us! ❤❤

Thank you, Crystal. I agree that this is a very pretty and fast stitch to make. I'm going to watch the link to the hat using this stitch right now. I plan to use this stitch for the hats I made.
I've sent so many people to your site for your tutorials and yarn content.
Your channel was my very first TH-cam video, and I made one of your baby dresses. (Actually, it wasn't even a video back then, just audio.)
My 11 year old granddaughter is now using your tutorials as well.
You are an amazing instructor and you are very easy to follow. I especially like the lack of background music, because it makes it easier to actually hear what you are saying.
Background music can be very distracting, in my opinion, while someone is learning something new.
Thanks so much for all that you do for us.

By watching your video, I you taught me a beautiful new crochet stitch; half double knot stitch. I had so much fun. You were a fantastic instructor. I was able to follow your instructions without much difficulty. The video was close to the camara and easier to watch your instructions. Your voice was slow and clear. I felt repeating the stitches was important while following your crochet technique. After following along with your instructions and finishing two rows, I was excited. It looked just like yours on the video. I agree it is a beautiful stitch. Thank you for sharing your video and instructions. I will continue my crochet half double, knot stitch, while continuing to crochet my blanket. After completing my project, I will present it to my family member, as a gift with pride 😅 Thanks to you. I am looking forward to watching your instructions again and learning how to crochet a border. Blessings and again thank you for your informative crochet video 🎉❤

I really enjoy your videos. Your style and personality are more my "cup of tea" than that of most other designers. You're regular folk, and I am, too. Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing your talent and expertise with the masses!

I love 1 row repeat patterns, especially when I make so many Beanies & Scarfs for the Holidays. They are quick and pretty. Thanks Crystal 🔮 💖

Simply beautiful and I can’t get over how bone straight the sides are. No need for a border whatsoever. Love it. Will def. be making a few things with the stitch, but first a wrap for my teenage niece.
Thank you Crystal for sharing your knowledge with us. ❤

Thank you, Crystal!! I was looking for a stitch to use with a herringbone for a blanket; had to be easy, had to have no multiples and most importantly - had to look the same on both sides. This one ticked all the boxes. You’re the best!!

I just did a stitch sample. I love this stitch. It makes a soft and cushy fabric. It would be very nice for a cocoon sweater or cozy stole.

Hi Crystal, I just went to order the Mona Lisa yarn in the Merlot, and they were out of it. They will notify me when they get it back in stock. Thank you for the review of that yarn. It's beautiful. Thanks again.

I've been crocheting 63 years. I'm not a show-me person. I learn by reading. I don't understand that we are going to drop a stitch, have 3 left when I only have 3 to begin with. I would really like to learn this stitch. Maybe I can find it on the Internet with less words. instance rowinstance

Crystal-Do you end with a single stitch row like you began it with?

I just recently started crocheting again after learning from my grandmother when I was 15... 40 years ago. Took a minute to get my groove back. I've discovered the plethora of hooks, smorgasbord of yarn, and abundance of book choices that we didn't have back then, lol. So, now I've started searching on line for some visual tutorials which we also didn't have and I happened upon your channel and this tutorial, specifically. Bravo! Your explanations and demonstrations are clear and concise. They are paced and repeated perfectly for anybody at any level to follow along successfully. I look forward to searching your database for more. Thank you

I like how neat and clean each row looks, I just learned I have been over tightening my rows and making myself frustrated because I cannot see what I am doing. I also need a bigger handled needle to keep me on track. Thanks!
