I grew up in Leonardo 1953 to 1960. Love of my life forever. Best of the best childhood.

@@GrrrbowNHR No. I knew Thomas Sharkey, Bobby Karl, the Marsh Family, the Corbetts, the Whitemans. No Lunney's I can remember. Lived there through the 1950s. Moved in Spring of 1959.

Great work you do John. I launched my boat from the Leonardo ramp back in 1989. Me and my dad cruised Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays.

Oh by the way, my parents worked on the cemetery at the end of the video. They are basically the primary caregivers of it lol. It's right up the street from my house.

Was that cemetery on on the road that was along the tracks that lead to the pier? I think it was Broadway? The Appleton Cemetery? I lived at 59 Washington Ave. from 1954 until 1959. We used to play there. One of my best friend's bedroom window looked out over it,. Same place?

I lived on Burlington Ave, 3 houses down from the Applegate graveyard. Spent my childhood (1955-1963) there, delivering the weekly Courier, which cost 7¢. Attended Leonardo Grade School from K-8th grade. I'm back here today, 8/28/18, visiting for the first time in over 35 years! Drove by the Applegate cemetery today and through my old paper route, swung by the school, Marina and houses of all my childhood friends. What memories, every one of them good.

Don't Self-Censor Yourself when filming John. Great work. Keep up the great documentaries on the area.
