Being a Catholic boy growing up in Keansburg in the early 1950s, I can clearly remember going to Saint Catherine’s church at one point a new priest by the name of father Ted came in and I can so clearly remember those whirling sound of ceiling fans or actually they weren’t ceiling fans they were floor fans And he was so proud of the new mural that had been just painted at the back of the altar and once again, I remember those warm bright sunny mornings, with the smell of the shore not far away looking forward to a full day of fishing, at the end of the jetty and clamming with a peach basket in an innertubeand life was good. That was my escape from Bensonhurst. Thank God my family had it and thank God for those memories and thank you Mr. Wilson for providing even more memories.

Really enjoy and enjoying this video. I spent most of my summers in my youth in the early to 1950s on Beacon Beach in Keansburg growing up crabbing fishing off the jetties in the water so much so many great memories come back I remember the plane crash I watch the plane come down Into the water on Beacon Beach and heard about the next day that no one had survived. I also remember whales coming up on shore fishing themselves is huge black creatures, so many so many memories you bring back I simply want to say thank you I wish I could download some of them and tell someone else but apparently there’s no one else around today that really cares but thank you for this trip down memory lane all the best👍👍

I miss home so much. We were forced to leave my beloved Keansburg because I've been rescuing animals for decades and even though I was brought to Court by a scummy neighbor and WON, we needed more space. 16 years later I'm still heartbroken upstate New York.
