This has cleared a lot up for me! Thanks for the list. I'll need something that goes 70mph at least for commuting, I feel so unsafe doing 60 where I'm from
YZFR is awful. Not sure if you have ever ridden one, but they are plastic, cheap buttons, uncomfrotable and all round incredibly over hyped. The only reason people like it, is because it is one of the fastest 125's from an established brand, and thats it. But realistically, the bike for everyday use it awful. I sold mine after 400 miles.
Yeah. I had opportunity to drive all generations of yzf r125 and newest one is most uncomfortable for me. I should choose yzf r125 I think second gen is best option.
@@xxpertgamerxx1-646 Lexmotos are extremely unreliable and cheaply built (in china), spare parts are shipped from china and take months to arrive. I wouldn’t touch one. For a similar price you could get a Honda Cbr125r (the old model) which was one of the most reliable sports 125s up until 2017 when it was discontinued. Parts are also cheap and easily sourced in the UK.
Thanks for the suggestion. I would truly love to review the Pagani - it looks like a work of art for a 125. Unsure if we will be able to get one in to test, will just have to see how the next few months go and what get's offered to us.
My bike is SUZUKI GSX S125, same engine with the champion GSX R125 but different style. I live in Australia and we don’t have as many options as people in the UK. But the price of SUZUKI is much lower here, 3800 Australian dollars drive away.
That "MOTORINI MT125RRI" is called "Motorstar Z200s" and yes it comes with a 200cc engine in my country. I'm actually surprised that it comes with a 125cc engine too. And oh if someone's curious, it cost about £1217 here. Directly converted from PHP.
Second hand you'll likely find Japanese models will probably hold their value better than say the Chinese produced models, otherwise it is best looking at owner reviews and forums if you are interested in a particular model.
Never again would I go near a lexmoto if your gunna get one get it new and it might be ok (probably still break) stick the big 4 brands and happy days, getting a yzf-r delivered on Saturday can’t wait bye bye to crappy Chinese bike had 3 and after a hour ride on the yzf I straight up bought it off my mate it’s 2014 but still by fair the best bike I’ve been on for a 125 😍
Lol they're all about the same because their built to hit the 15 hp for the A1 license class. The difference might be a few km/h but who cares about that anyway. Seriously all 125 bikes are about the same just get the one you like the looks and ergonomics of. You should start to be looking on the specs when you get into the A2 class
Just out of interest is this sponsored by lexmoto? I agree that new Chinese bikes are very good now and excellent value, but number 3 over the KTM, the R1 and the aprilia? Come on now 😉
Not sponsored, and we tend to mix up top 10's so isn't purely on spec. affordability comes into it so we always throw in a mix of bikes for most budgets, so the top picks aren't all premium models. The LXR is the biggest seller out of all of them in the UK so definitely popular.
BikeMatters then that’s fair enough it just seemed at odds with other reviews, by the way it wasn’t a criticism I quite enjoy your videos, can you do another bike vs public transport or car one?
@@richardbolton6215 No worries at all, we quite like giving a mix top 10, throw some unexpected models in there, great for causing conversations and get people talking. Glad to hear it - thanks!
Solid list!
Where would Honda cbr 125 RR would fit in the list? Are they not available in your area? How about Darby, and Hyosung?
CBR 125 RR is no longer available new in the UK, don't believe the Derbi or Hyosung are available new at the moment either.

Good video. I have not dug deep lately but the last I checked 300cc was the smallest available in the USA
