Very Excited! I woke up and decided that, at the age of 44, it's about time I addressed my lack of bike. I spoke to someone who said that booking my CBT might take a while. I'm not having that so I looked around and found one for Tuesday (5 days time). I then visited a Yamaha dealer who told me that I'd have to wait probably a couple of months for a brand new one. I'm not having that so I looked around and found a nearby dealer that could get me one for Wednesday..... Now I just need to pass!! 😆 I also got told that I'd have to wait months for a theory for a real licence and all my local places are booked up for months. But I'm not having that, so I found somewhere about 18 miles away that can do it this months. But, for now, I'm just VERY excited to be picking up my brand new MT125!!
Fantastic news, that’s the spirit! Good luck. And don’t forget to join our Facebook group, it’s called Bennetts BikeSocial. See you there! Cheers, Michael
@@lassydogpie5390 True. But I still "failed".... The instructor was uninterested. He kept saying he had to go to the office to do "something" and kept disappearing for 15 mines a time while we twiddled our thumbs. Because of a language barrier with another student he, unfortunately, had to keep stopping everything to explain things many times over which meant more sitting around. And then suddenly he declared that the agreement for the land they use for the manouvres means they only have it until midday so, because we hadn't got round to all the manouvres in time, that was the end of our day (and £160) and we wouldn't be doing the road part and would have to come another day to finish off..... At an additional cost to us!!! I'm furious and, if it wasn't a dream of mine to ride motorbikes and I was just trying it out it would've probably put me off for life! But I don't like to dwell on negatives too much so, having decided I'd rather just pay full price again than ever give them any more of my money, I've gone somewhere else (that came recommended by a bunch of people I should've asked in the first place!) for this Sunday. Fingers crossed! I know it's not a "test" and there's no "pass" or "fail" but when you've been told no after £160, time off work and excitement in your heart, I'm sorry, but it was a fail. I failed to get my CBT, test or no test. HOWEVER!! Onwards and upwards! 😁😁
Congratulations! I bought my MT125 in 2022 and I don't regret it! It's an amazing, easy to ride bike that looks really cool. Add an Akra to improve the sound - it sounds like a lawnmower with the stock exhaust 😀
Now your talking, I love 125's. Had loads of big bikes but when a load of you go out on 125cc motorcycles there is serious potential for carnage. Had a Grom for a few years as a second bike, I ended up using it more than my MT09 over a two year period. One these would be even better with 15hp.
Amusingly, it looks like flippy thought you were daydreaming "one of these would be even better [if] with 15hp" as a 0.25hp upgrade... ...rather than the real meaning of "one of these would be even better [than a 10hp grom], since these have 15hp"
Just bought a Suzuki GSX-S125 here in Australia, the Yamaha isn’t available! The Suzuki is an awesome bike and I’m sure very similar to the Yamaha if it was available…paid around $5800 AUD which is a lot cheaper than the prices you are quoting..
@@JDMz as I said the Yamaha isn’t available here in Australia and for a 125 the Suzuki is more than adequate for a learner or commuter, far safer than the 125’s I rode back in the 80’s, although I wish I still had my 2 stroker now!
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Does it have dual ABS or front only? Also for Traction Control, does it kick in under any speed eg. low speed slippery car park surface or only after reaching certain speeds? Most importantly, is Traction Control coming to MT07 as they still don't have it despite the high torque engine. Thank you.
Has this bike been released in the US, because I've never heard of it. It's only Groms and z125's. This bike would be awesome at the track where we race the Groms at.
If you're asking me to choose betwen the MT and the R, then the MT wins every time because there's less weight on your wrists, not that the R is a out-and-out sports bike, but the MT is more comfortable, though it depends on how long your legs are and what protective gear you're riding in - some are more flexible and stretchy tghan others. Hope that helps, Michael
£1,100 down and 36 payments of £69 is three and a half grand - bike costs five grand. Is it me? edit: just looked PCP up... yes, but with an optional two and a half grand final payment and penalty to pay if you go over the 4 or 5k mileage allowance. So you are basically renting it if you don't pay the final payment of two and a half grand. What happens if you scratch it or drop it or worse? Don't know. Great deal? He thinks so. I wonder why he didn't tell us the whole story?
Plus the optional final payment of £2.6k. I've assumed (perhaps incorrectly) that viewers with a genuine interest would understand how PCP works, or at least would look up the details of this particular example. There's more infomation here: www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/bikes/yamaha/mt-125-2023-review
th-cam.com/video/qfunPbyvreY/w-d-xo.html The inception of MT range goes way earlier than 2013. In 2005, Yamaha introduced MT-01 which has a V-twin set up and went up to a whopping 150NM of torque. And MT-03 was introduced thereafter in 2006 as a single cylinder model.
