Original recipe on my blog (using canned chickpeas)
    chantyveggie.c...
    Ingredients/ steps:
    1 lb dry organic chickpeas
    ~ 6 or 7 cups water
pressure cook for 45 minutes with a natural release
drain the chickpeas but save about a cup of the cooking liquid
Add the drained chickpeas back to the pot and mash them up with a fork. Add the rest of these ingredients:
1/2 to 1 cup reserve chickpea liquid (depending on how thick you want it)
1/2 cup tahini, almond or cashew butter
2 or more tbsp pickle juice
    1 tbsp dijon mustard
    splash of apple cider vinegar
    2- 3 pickles diced
    1/2 red onion diced
2 or 3 celery stalks thinly diced
a few dashes of kelp powder (I found it at Whole Foods)
    black pepper to taste
Mixture can be used as a wrap, sandwich or dip.

This looks great. I'm Nutritarian, so it's hard to find TH-camrs whose recipes I can do because most vegans seem to be Starch Solution. I love myself some good fat in a recipe lol! Until now my favorite wrap recipe is the Pioneer Woman's Heavenly Hummus Wrap and I modify it by just leaving out the cheese and using my oil free homemade hummus and Dr. Fuhrman's balsamic vinaigrette recipe just FYI in case you want to try it. It has similar vibes to this recipe. I can't wait to try this!

@@Chantymarie Flavcity recommended it on his channel that’s how I found out about it! Btw forgot to mention! Chickpeas can have high amounts of glyphosate residue even some of the organic brands which can be even higher :( Ewg has a list of the chickpea and hummus brands that are the highest and lowest in glyphosate and goya dried chickepeas have the least amount by far! Here’s the link EWG Tests of Hummus Find High Levels of Glyphosate Weedkiller

Thanks, Chanty. All your videos are helpful - I love especially how REAL everything is! Your guy coming into shot sometimes; the way you use stuff out of a jar instead of measured into little glass dishes; adding a bit more here and there of an ingredient you particularly like; talking about running out of ingredients and eating off a spoon to taste things! 😊
It makes me feel like I’m in the kitchen with a friend or my daughter, watching her cook and sharing something nice to eat.
This looks like something I’m going to try because my new slow cooker has arrived!
I always cook chickpeas, beans and lentils with a few squares of kombu, (and eat them squashed in with the beans) to increase the digestibility of the legumes, and to give minerals that may be lacking in vegan diets. Hope some others can use the tip as well.
Keep up the good work. X

I watched the video, read the recipe and made this, and it was delicious!
I didn't pay much attention to the proportions because I had a can of chickpeas that weighed 200 gm. drained, and didn't want to stress about figuring it out, but it came out great.
I used tahini because I love it!
It was great to find a recipe for this without vegan mayo because it just doesn't appeal to me, even homemade with tofu.
    Thank you!

I made my own version of this adding some "heat" and Dill .. sounds crazy but it was so delicious!! Thank you for sharing this as I really enjoy Chick pea texture... I know some folks might need to smash it up .. but I only smashed about a 1/3.. the rest I kept whole for added texture... Great idea to make the Tortilla and ROLL UP!! :) Thank YOU!!!

Yay- so good Chanty Marie! I asked for the recipe- definitely making this, looks delicious. Im a novice instant pot user....what does natural release mean? Do you just let it sit without opening the vent? Although that must take ages......love the vegan wrap filling option, so often I just end up eating rice and something curry like or soup. Would love to hear more vegan wrap/ sandwich solutions😃. Thanks!

    • @Chantymarie

Yes you just let it sit for an extra 17 - 25 ish minutes and you will hear the pressure valve drop by itself!
