So Wonder Woman's illusion is basically the episode of Justice League where they travel to the old west and meet Jonah Hex... minus Batman and Green Lantern?
Actually, Clark's black and white segment takes place in the early 1950s and is an homage to the classic Twilight Zone episode, ‘Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?'
Honestly would of loved a 4 part mini series, double the runtime on each individual founder, have j'onn j'onzz and lobo have stronger roles that recur in each story (guide and interference) all while building mongul with his monologues whilst perhaps being the end boss for each story (they can't beat him alone). With the finale of uniting the trinity, to beat mongul, no death sacrifice for j'onn and no destroying warworld (keep it in the back pocket for later). Overall 1 step forward (interesting idea) and 2 steps back (bad pacing and no high stakes)
I am glad you liked it but I personally hated it and think this is easily in my bottom 5 DC animated movies. I just don't care about anything happening because I know it's fake and I just wanted them to get to the point already.
I have been waiting for somebody I watch to break this movie down. I’ve been contemplating watching it since it’s release but I just had such little interest based on how little I knew about the movie but based on this review I’m definitely gonna give it a watch
DC: "Behold the start of the Tomorrowverse Justice League! A brave new story of--" Also DC: *cRiSiS eNdInG aLrEaDy* Me: .......pass. Hard pass. DC: But key jangling!
I was fine with the premise but felt the characterization of batman was so off in his story. You'd presume aside the Sword and Sorcery setting the character would still be the same but Bruce Wayne is portrayed as an untrustworthy mercenary who betrays Warlord, would abandon victims of Deimos to their fate and run away with money. Look, I am all for the antihero cares about no one type but that is not Bruce Wayne.
By all rights he isn't a villian in the illusion he is an antagonist. He is a sheriff/cowboy and by the law of the time he was in the right. Technically wonderwoman could be considered the villian as she was breaking the law helping those people
i was so confused while watching this film. i felt like i missed stuff i thought the JLA was formed at the end of Justice Society ww2? how do these characters not really know of eachother when they share the screen in other films... these films form a universe but non of them feel connected. each film we get a time jump we go from 1 hero to 6 and the watchtower in a couple films and its all off screen and they never explain how they got there.
Why have Wonder Woman go to the old west anyway? She fits perfectly into the Barbarian universe as she’s a WARRIOR, and Batman fits into the Old West because he’s a crime fighting detective who works alongside the police (who are modern day cowboys.). You could easily swapped them into these time periods, and it wouldn’t change the movie.
Felt like some lost episodes of the Justice League cartoons combined into a movie. These last few movies have been pretty average to below-average in my opinion.
I liked it more than the Supergirl/Legion of Superheroes movie due to how it played around with different genres but where that one ended and Warworld began, feel like we missed a movie (- ^ ) Also did not expect it to be a set up for Crisis which seems too soon.
I hated this movie to be honest, not a good watch and I don’t know what they are going to do with this “tommorowverse” after the highs we had with the wonderful DCAMU.
Hay vei infuso can you please do a video on the show pennyworth. The most forgotten dc tv show of all time. Ive seen more people talk about the old black and white batman sereals form the 40s then this show. And it has 4 seasons
To be honest, I think the idea of a western version of Wonder Woman is very intriguing. Just imagine if Warner Bros. produced an open-world action-adventure game featuring Gal Gadot as the lead in a western-themed Wonder Woman game. Let's imagine what that would be like.
This means this could lead to a potential animated version of a crisis on infinite Earths movie Can only imagine how massive this could be and the amount of characters. And the VA,s as well. Get cast members from the Justice League Justice League unlimited series the previous DC animated movies and projects, make it a tribute to Kevin Conroy as well. This could be massive.
I just watched t his last night, and I came to YT to see if I was maybe wrong about it. Guess I'm not alone. It's so disjointed, and to waste an entire movie and give us no character development just didn't feel like the DCAU we know. I feel like this type of story would've been better in a series format.
Somehow, this movie felt both Over and Under cooked.... _.... however, Barbarian Wonder Woman was a + in my book (also doesn't she look more like Big Barda than her on that part of the story?)_
I'm beginning to HATE the Tomorrowverse, when I already disliked it. Who the hell is running this rushed disjointed story telling at DC animation? Nothing about these movies are making sense because none the stories seem to have a point when they end.
This movie should have been done into 2 parts,, part one ends when they woke up from the illusion and then the other part about war world showing how it is dangerous and how they stopped it. Then introduce the crisis on infinite earth.
I know this means my bar is on the floor. But just being able to watch ACTUAL media critique and someone engage with media even if they disagree with me and not having to hear the word "woke" is just a treat. Im subbing

Soooo..... Superman has MET The Martian Manhunter and Lobo. Maybe he's still amnesiac, but why didn't indicate he knew him. Different universe? Same for Wonder Woman. She indicated she recognized him but he still didn't know her, and she called him a "baby" and "not her Clark". Does that mean she's the Earth 2 Wonder Woman?

I think you should rewatch this movie and pay more attention to the ending. It clearly sets up for Crisis on Infinite Earths which is the next Tomorrowverse movie. It's the Civil War to Infinity War.

Another sacrifice for the new improved dcu 🙄 I've been a stalwart defender of dc for the majority of my adult life and the animated movies are always top notch. But with James gunn wanting all live action and animation to share a universe, characters and stories are going to be spread very thin. Is anybody actually looking forward to creature commandos?
The issue is none of the animation stuff that work on these movies are the same that will work on the DCU animated movies. Their two different departments.
This movie was just unnecessarily bad and complicated. How could they mess up a story involving war world? And the pacing is the worse I’ve seen in an animated movie. Mongul design was bad, very terrible. The design from young Justice was great.
I thought I’d be safe from bad DC animated movies after the flashpoint era/DCAMU died. But man the Tomorrowverse is awful. Literally the only good movie in this era has been the Long Halloween. I’m dreading the Crisis on Infinite Earths adaptation coming out next year. I pray they never do Countdown.
