Always owned Ford. On my 5-6th f150. Bought a 2022 F150 less than a month ago and have never had so many problems with a truck in my life. The new Sync 4 radio has been loaded with connection issues and bugs in my short tenure. I’ve never performed so many master resets in my life. Hopefully Ford pushes out some sort of update to fix the bugs my dad and I have had with these radios.
I have had some issues with mine as well. Sometimes it just randomly shuts down and reboots mid drive. I also have issues connecting to Appleplay from time to time. Other than the electronic issues its been a great truck!
Ford actually does have an in floor storage option. It's listed as an in floor cooler. So its actual purpose is to hold ice and drinks, but you can easily use it as storage also. They come located in the rear floor behind the drivers seat.
What brand of floor mats do you have?? I have the same storage box on the rear and I couldn’t find any mats that fit it, they just sell the rear mat for the f150’s without the rear storage box thing.
Do you feel a rough idle on the 3.5L? I bought a 2022 F150 3.5 ecoboost. But when I am parked I feel it idles rough. I feel cabin vibration and when going to high speeds. Really dissatisfied. Not sure if my truck is defective but really uncomfortable ride for a 60K
I have noticed the idle jumps around a bit while sitting or in park but its not too noticeable yet. High speeds I havnt noticed anything really other than the terrible roads here in Georgia! Most of my issues have been electrical with the radio and electronics.
@@rebelfabricationllc wow !! These trucks are not what they used to. And I paid $60K for it. I am in NC. Not much difference. But mine it’s just too much shaking on idle. I wonder if the cold climate makes them worse. I will need to compare to another 3.5L somewhere before the have peace of mind.
A bedliner doesn't come standard for several reasons: there's 3 different ways (or more) to protect your bed. The spray in bedliner is a $595 option, whereas the bed pan is about $200. So Ford let's the buyer decide. There's aftermarket options out the ying yang. Also, it's what they call a Dealer Installed Option. Lately, it's not a good idea to order a truck with DIOs because they can actually extend the build time and delay the shipment. So leave them off the order and buy them after delivery. Ford prefers to put those decisions in the buyer's hand.
I have pretty much the same truck, but with the plastic bedliner. I love my truck! Everything works. I’d be pissed though if the camera didn’t work. Take it back and get that fixed! I use those cameras all the time! With all the tech, it’s easier to drive the truck than my older sedan!
@@rebelfabricationllc as a radio technician and electronics technician at an F dealership I can tell you that that's absolutely not true. You bought the wrong truck you spend too much money and you're going to have nothing but problems and recalls for the next year
I can tell you it 100% happened. The dealership sold me the truck knowing it had camera issues and after 2 weeks of them working on it and trouble shooting it with a tech from the factory they found something unplugged behind the 12” screen. They replaced the rear camera thinking it was the problem. My navigation and cameras wouldnt work so they pulled the radio and found the issue
@@rebelfabricationllc I can tell you there's only one plug on the screen and it comes directly from the sync module. There is nothing that could have been disconnected back there. But camera issues are known with all Fords and especially f-150s. It could be something as simple as you have an Apple product and it's messing with the software. But I can tell you they're not telling you the truth. That was my only point. And trust me on another issue, we have no idea how to fix these cars and neither does Ford
The plug below the 7 pin trailer plug, is for using a trailer backup camera system. If your camper had a compatible back camera, it would work with the screen in the truck.
I’ve had a new ‘15 F150 and ‘20 Ranger. Never had any issue with them, so the camera thing is a fluke. I never expect a new car or truck to be 100%. Would you have felt better if they didn’t give you that trailer adapter and you had to buy it? Very nice truck you have there 😊
It turned out to be an issue from the factory, someone left a plug undone behind the radio screen. I appreciate Ford giving me the adaptor but I feel like it should come standard with a 4 pin like the other fullsize trucks.
Nice. I bought a 21 platinum in jan of 2021 before the price gouging. It was first 21 platinum my dealer got in. Put 28000 miles on it in 17 months. No problems. Averaged 17.6mpg since new and will get 21 mpg on open road with cruise locked in at 70 mph. 3.5 non hybrid. Absolutely love it. Traded a 2018 Ram that had quite a few problems with. I agree with the trailer hook up though. I thinks the odd plug on back has something to do with cameras on certain trailers. Have you checked to see if something is over your camera lens? All vehicles mass produced are going to have some issues on some of them. All the tech I am surprised don’t have more. But I have learned in my 58 years that overall Fords have given me best service. And I have had several Dodges and Chevys. Probably will finish out my life with Fords.
The issue with my camera was finally fixed, after the dealership replaced a few cameras, they pulled the radio and found a plug that was left undone from the factory. The weird part is my navigation still worked sometimes even though it was unplugged from that harness. I love the 3.5 ecoboost over the hemi I had. Right now im averaging about 19 mpg with just now hitting 2,000 miles on it.
Higer the trim, the more tech features to go wrong. And a lot of time the next trim up is a difference of minor things like cloth vs leather, or a slow release tailgate, or bigger screen. I’ll never go higher than the 3 trim up and I’ll never pay for than 60K for a truck.
The bed is aluminum! It won’t rust!

Go into your vehicle settings. The mirrors do fold in automatically when you lock it. You just have to select what features.
Ron, Thank you for letting me know that! I went in and changed the settings🤓
I was just about to comment the same thing
Don’t worry about bed corrosion. It’s aluminum but I agree a bed liner should come standard.
Aluminum won't rust BUT it still will have corrosion.
$500 mark up for the bed liner
Make sure you change the oil at 5000 miles not 7000 miles or you would begin to have problems with your timing belt if you don’t do that

Im not sure, they came with it from the dealership, Ill see if I can find a logo on it somewhere.
