@@toxiquid good point. Because you can't exactly repawn outside of the respawn point plus it would probably work similar to the Dynamo Roller. Although... you could've made a special weapon based of a sentry turret (Like the one I came up with called "The Ink Sentry") or a weapon based off a dragon (Like the one I came up with called "The Sea Dragon") or even a Charger weapon based on the Poltergust from Luigi's Mansion that can not only work like the Ink Vac, but can work like a Goo Tuber, Snipewriter, and E-Liter (I call it the "Poltergust-1NK") but also works like the Poltergust as you create a light that can stun or stagger enemies leaving them in a confused state before sucking them up by zapping them or slamming them, any enemies you slam will take massive damage. When successfully vacuum up an enemy they get splatted and a burst of ink will be created. Making the Poltergust-1NK a weapon perfect for both long-range and close range... just saying...
those are good ideas! however, the criteria with this video was new MAIN weapons, but we did toss around a turret once or twice. but that might come in a later video :P
It's sad bc that Brellas is one of most interesting weapon type in splatoon and is outclassed by others.190p for shooter and 200p for brella, man it sucks.
@@ArnoAfton 190p is only on Ttek, think about that. Neo Splash has 210 which is understandable, but so does ZF Charger and the Slosher and Rapid have 200
@@agentblackbird9435 Slosher having 200 is just plain dumb cus like, it's the exact same kit as ttek which has... better painting and 190, as well as a faster kill time with only a little less range
I have an idea for a new Brella-type weapon without a canopy: the PROPELLA! It’s basically a giant propeller that has been modified to shoot ink while it’s not spinning. It would have the same range and fire rate as the Tenta Brella, but less ink spread, and a harsher damage falloff. Press and hold the ZR button and it’ll start spinning. After about a second it’ll be at full speed and generate a large stream of wind in front of the user. This can be used to block attacks from the front, but it will push away any opponent caught in the wind. The closer you are to the user, the stronger the effect. It’ll have a slight pushback effect on the user too, but you can cancel it out by holding forward. If an enemy touches the propeller while it’s at full speed, it’ll splat them instantly with a full 120 damage, though that’ll be tricky to pull off due to the wind mechanic. Downsides are that using it in Wind Mode will be extremely ink-hungry, eating through a full tank in about 5 or 6 seconds. The propeller would also take a full second to stop spinning, preventing you from swimming during that time. Though you can still shoot if you have enough ink. High risk, high reward. Sub is Curling Bomb and Special is Ink Storm.
I think it would look like a puddle jumper, it’s a little propeller on a stick that you spin around in your hands to make it fly over small puddles, hence the name.
I have one objection, the tidy-up roller should have ink vac to suck up enemy ink, then the firing at you and launch it back, Plus Ink vac is very underrated
honestly both the gumdrop splatling and the splatana marker have great designs but i am in LOVE with the zap blaster after having used it for goldeneye on the wii
One idea I had for a weapon was based on a moka pot for espresso, called the Mokashot. Being based on espresso I wanted it to capture the mechanic of pressure buildup. Visually it looks like a mokapot held horizontally with a wooden portafilter handle sticking out where it's held. It would be a hybrid between a brush, charger, and blaster in a few ways. Essentially it would always be drizzling out a little bit of ink so your feet would be always painted. It would consume some ink while running, but not a ton. The main gimmick through would be that you could press and hold the trigger to close the lid of the mokapot, and that would stop the dripping at your feet. This would also charge up the main attack, a shot that, when released, you get a blaster shot that scales in range and size depending on how long you charged. A full charge would be comprable in time to a splat charger, and the shot would be a range blaster size at rapid blaster distance when fully charged. Minimum would be more comprable to a clash blaster in both distance and power, but slower on account of it being semiautomatic. The goal is to make it an ambush weapon for sneaking behind enemies since your paint trail could be relatively small on the map as you get into position and you can fire off a sneaky devastating blast at mid-short range, but the setup is risky because you aren't swimming in and you could theoretically run out of ink by the time you walk up to an ambush spot. To keep up that theme I'm thinking Toxic to round out it's trapping and ambush abilities, and kraken as an escape tool/panic button/escape prevention. These would work thematically as well, referencing the "toxic" dangers of caffeine represented in the mist and the high energy intensity of a caffeine rush being represented by kraken.
I NEED MORE WHIMSICAL WEAPONS !! It's one of the best parts about Splatoon honestly, such a creative theme for a game, so I loveee seeing people make up new ones. I'm really enjoying this so far!
for the feather brush I feel like instead of when you're zipping around with it instead of running behind it like the other brushes you could get on it and the tail end of it (the feathers) would be at an angle down so it still gives that thin line like the other brushes and is close to the ground. I think that would make sense with it being the fastest since you don't actually have to run, and it would make sense with the whole flying gimmick (without actually making it fly.) plus I think seeing somebody zip around like a witch on the battle field would be hilarious
As a Splatana main, the Tuber seems super fun to play with. I also thought of a Toothbrush based Splatana. since the brush is at the tip of the weapon, the regular slash has much longer range and painting capability than the charge slash. However because theres no brush at the base the charge slash cant one-shot. To combat that, it can charge hold while you swim so you can manuever around close opponents. Great weapon ideas!
It’s really sad how the newest brush main weapon is THE OCTO BRUSH. There literally hasn’t been a new brush main weapon added to the series since early splatoon 1 when octo brush became a thing. Personally my favorite brush idea is a brush faster and higher control rolling than the ink brush that does like 60 roll damage but pitiful swing damage. Call it the Speedpaint brush. The idea is you just roll around smacking people with the brush. Preferably also with reduced lag on bouncing off somebody or reversed bounce velocity so ramming somebody normally sends you through them
@@Maritime_Memoriestwo “op” brushes that go out of their way to target eachother. They basically do the same thing. We need variety Plus the painbrush sucks
Well, now I'm just sad that I can't use these super cool weapons. You guys managed to make make the gimmicks of these weapons so interesting, I feel like I could genuinely main any of them!
The effort in this video is amazing! The animation is great and the way you guys talk with each other makes it feel like you’re all sitting together recording. Keep up the great work!
Here's my pitch: The *Splatana X!* It's based off of the legendary sword Excalibur and foam swords. Though it consumes a lot of ink and has sub-par projectile range, it makes up for that with more range with the slash, a slower yet longer reaching dash range, and definitely more damage. With Suction Bombs to push enemies towards you and Kraken Royale for mobility and pressuring your opponents, you'll be sure to be the king of the battlefield. Just watch out for anyone that's remotely faster than you.
I’ve never seen a video of yours, but I’m blown away by the presentation! I barely play Splatoon and yet I watched the video for the fun ideas, the animations and the editing! Real top notch stuff, keep it up!
Naw the fact after they gave crab to multiple splatanas in this video, and then Nintendo made one and made fryes kit the same as the one at 17:40 is wild
Here's hoping we see something along these lines next update! Also great job on the video, the animation was great and the pacing felt really good for how many kits you ended up covering!
Honestly, one idea I have for a weapon type is hoses. Similar to shooters, but it shoots a continous stream of ink rather than shots. Think of it as the flamethrower weapon type. Like a real hose, it'll leave ink at the distance it reaches rather than the line of fire, until it stops firing where I'll start dripping ink at short range. It'll be a great team killing weapon with the tradeoff though being that you'll be stuck in place while using it.
These are awesome! Would love to see more concept art to get a better feel for how they work, since i couldn’t grasp some. Overall very cool, love the references.
Oh my word this was a really enjoyable video Everything was neatly presented with personality, the animation is fun to look at, and of course, the concepts are amazing. The last weapon you guys mentioned might be really good for the next season update coming at the end of may
To throw in my own little suggestion -Water Purifier Splatling with Bloblobber bubbles instead of bullets -Condiment Blaster with a Ketchup bottle for it's weapon tank that shoots out multiple blaster shots at once (to make up for blaster RNG)
woah the creativity put into inventing these new weapons are just phenomenal! Although I do have an idea for a new class or just a weapon added to the splatana class, I’m thinking about the fan, not the cooling fan but the hand fan. So how this weapon works is that you could throw it and it comes back to you similar to a boomerang. It could also function like a regular splatana. Now I haven’t figured out a kit for this weapon yet so that’s my idea for a new weapon
Not only is this visually appealing but it also just scratches my brain! like AHH i cant even put into words how happy i am seeing someone make a weapon out of a mop, i NEED that officially
Lot of cool ideas, i love the roller concepts both trying to incentivize actually rolling. I wanna clean up enemy faces. And frankly having a shield to let you actually roll would be cool, and prolly a turf war menace
I would like to see a slosher that is basically explo but you shoot down, with a larger explosion and paint radius. It would have sprinkler to help out with its not so good paint and crab to help it to get into fights. Also, in salmon run it has bomb properties and jumping and firing does an animation similar to getting rainmaker to a checkpoint. It can kill in one hit, but limited in mobility, and is something the series has never done before!
i think the Splatana marker and calcium Splatling are my favorites. some of these are great ideas and a few of them should even be actually brought into the game. i love this video and all the visuals. i especially like collabs between youtubers, so this was a good watch.
I think also letting the feather brush slow your decent when rolling would be nice Definitely not too big of a slow down but enough to justify keeping most of your speed when falling
The idea of a new Brella: BeachWash Brella. Basically a fusion of the Tenta and Undercover with a larger brella shield but not firing it and hefty damage on par with the standard brella. Top it of with Wave Breaker and burst bomb and you have a good protective kit letting you stick around longer than most brellas letting you hold positions and force others to follow your beach rules or get washed away fighting you.
If gumdrop splatling ever exists im maining it. Its just BEAUTIFUL. (Also, doesnt this mean you wont have the ink bag on your back? The gumdrops would maybe represent how much ink is inside and if its empty there would be ink smeared on the inside of the machine.)
So cool how you managed to get ProChara and the others on here dude! one thing I hate about people making their own weapons is that they're not actually real lmao... some of these were dope as hell. now all we need is 2 videos for both sub/special weapons
One thing I really wish Splatoon would add is a weapon class based on flamethrowers, and I've been really trying hard to make an idea for one! This is what I have currently: Sprayer weapon class idea Sprayers - A weapon class based on flamethrowers that have mainly chip damage based weapons. These weapons have large tanks that would be right next to the normal ink tanks on the player. - Sprayer weapons have an initial few frames of start-up before they reach their full range, with all the weapons having different start-up interactions. - Sprayer weapons deal damage differently from most weapons, dealing damage to anyone as chipping when they are in the area of the spray. - Sprayers have very large areas, hitting everything inside of their reticles (which would be shaped similar to splatling reticles), since they are meant more for chipping. Sprayer Class Weapons: *Graffi-T 93* - The most basic sprayer weapon, being the icon for sprayers. This weapon's name references Graffiti as well as the T 93 referencing the Type 93 flamethrower, a Japanese flamethrower designed in 1932. This sprayer's start up shoots out ink until it gets to its maximum range, being able to damage things as it starts up. The start-up would take about 0.7 seconds. *Graffi-T 93 stats:* Mobility: Normal (Midweight weapon type) Ink consumption: Medium-low (can keep firing for a long time) Kill-time: Medium-slow (not the fastest at killing, but not super slow) Range: Midline (about the same as mini-splatling, maybe a little more range) Turf Coverage: good (pretty good at painting) *Sting-Spray PSI* - The backliner sprayer weapon, based on the stingray special from splatoon 2. Since it is becoming a main weapon, it would be heavily reworked (Its no longer a stupid game breaking special hooray!!!). The name is a pun on the old name for it with spray added in, and the PSI part references Pounds per Square Inch, the measurement unit for pressure, since this weapon is a pressure washer (what stingray was based on). Unlike the Graffi-T 93, this sprayer has a special gimmick, being that its able to pierce through walls that are within 1/3 of its maximum range (Look hear me out alright). When it goes through a wall within this range, it's maximum range becomes a bit shorter, and its only able to pierce through one wall. This would allow this weapon to have the ability to take positions behind walls without being too overpowered, since this weapon wouldn't be able to use most subs or specials while behind a wall, and it would have to use low walls if it wanted to be able to look around still. During its start-up, it doesn't shoot ink until it gets to its maximum range, similar to how it was in splatoon 2. *Sting-Spray PSI stats:* Mobility: low (Heavyweight weapon type) Ink consumption: Fairly High (Cant spray for a super long time to prevent having only a huge stalling laser for most of the match. Would also have white ink frames like range blaster) Kill-time: Medium-Fast (About the same time as it had as a special in splatoon 2, maybe a bit faster) Range: Backline (a little further than splat charger. Goes to about 85% of its normal range when firing from behind a wall) Turf Coverage: Below Average (Its not really good at painting for its team) *PestiFyre Spray* - A frontline sprayer weapon based on pesticide spray, coming from fire and pesticide combined together. For it's gimmick, the PestiFyre Spray gives a DoT effect that lingers on enemy players for a medium amount of time. During the time in which you have the DoT, you won't heal any hp while swimming in swim form. However, the DoT will deal a little bit less overall damage while you are swimming to make up for this. For the start-up, this sprayer releases the ink spray very quickly. *PestiFyre Spray stats: * Mobility: High (lightweight weapon type) Ink consumption: Medium (it's not gonna be able to fire for as long as the Graffi-T 93 can, but its still pretty good) Kill Time: Slow (It's not gonna kill the fastest on its own, the DoT does make up for this tho) Range: Frontline (In between splash-o-matic and splattershot range) Turf Coverage: Great (Really good at painting) Ideas for kits: Graffi-T 93: Autobomb + Wavebreaker (location support based kit) Sting-Spray PSI: Beakon + Killer Wail (beacon gives it something to use because this thing definitely cannot follow up on bombs and killer wail just gives it more lasers to displace) PestiFyre Spray: Fizzy Bomb + Ink Storm (chip damage hell)
THESE ARE SICK! I also love brellas so I have even more brella ideas >:D *B3 Brella* - A lightweight brella that shoots in rapid bursts of three, it takes four shots to splat an opponent but it shoots VERY fast. - Has the same quick canopy opening time as Splat Brella - while the canopy is open, you have a much higher strafing speed, however the canopy has less health and fires off slightly faster than splat brella. *Pinwheel Brella* - A short range brella that has a wide blast of ink - When you open your canopy, the pinwheel on the front starts spinning and the brella will glide forwards in whatever direction you held it attatched by a chain. When you close the canopy this is recalled immediately - If the canopy gets too far away, then the chain breaks and it will fly away on its on as if you had fired the canopy - The canopy will do high damage to enemies it hits so it could be a tactic to try and hit your opponents with it!
I LOVE weapon concepts and i could totally see these weapons come to life in the actual game, 3d models and all!! i cant even pick a favorite because theyre all so new and interesting!! the creativity is off the charts, on par with the official weapons!! (id definitley try out the perfume dualies though)
Nice that you got kits from both competitive and casual players. I know a lot of people get thrown off by comp analysis and having more casual players like boat makes it more approachable to them while chara has very deep knowledge of the game, especially competitively which is great for a more competitive approach to these kits.
Honestly, thank ProChara for that. We spent a few hours making these kits together, and I think we achieved what we wanted to. Defo some missed opportunities for aesthetics (angle shooter on marker, etc), but for the kits with themes we went crazy with them bahaha
Before Splatoon 3, I had an idea for a new kind of brush, and then they made Splatanas and this idea can't really exist on a brush without it just being a Splatana that can run so I'll just make it a Splatana idea. I'll call it the Javetana because I want it to feel like a Javelin spear. The quick slashes send out ink in arcs like a slosher and paints pretty well but they don't go very far so you don't have much range with it, and the charge slash deals much more damage as you'd expect, can be aimed like a sub weapon, and they can go further too. Maybe it even makes a splash sort of landing like a burst bomb. I'll give it point sensor for help with aiming and Ink Storm for help with painting and chip damage
Dude, it's so awesome to see you again! Plus all of these seem really fun (especially the feather and the tuba I guarantee you maximum amounts of shenanigans would be done with those weapons)
These are really awesome ideas, i have a couple too 😈 The Splat-Flossers (Flossers for short) Press the Attack button (I can't remember if its Zr or Zl) once to open up a Metal shield that absorbs enemy ink if shot at it. And press it again to shoot all that enemy ink back as your ink. Hold the Attack button to Charge up Ink and shoot it all in a flurry, similar to a splatling. It doesn't deal much damage but it can shoot really far. Wave Riders (Riders for short) Basically Surfboard, its a combination of the Roller and the Splatana, it's normal attack is basically just the splatana attack with more range and less damage, but when you hold the attack button, while moving you can surf on land, spreading ink around
I’d love a swordfish-splatana, with long range swipes but in a wide area. It has short paint but a large hurt-box, as it only paints where the sword reaches, making it very much a melee weapon. Its charge is used to spear the opponent, also launching a large, long splat of paint, double its normal range. A swipe deals 60 damage, and a spear-stab deals 140
Genuinely incredible presentation, I rarely see anyone SHOW the fire rate of weapons instead of showing the number attached to it. Simple but getting the most out of everything!
My idea for a stringer would be one of those handheld harps. It would shoot 5 bullets that do around 22 damage per shot. It could also be a burst type weapon shooting twice if fully charged. The charge speed would be a bit faster than the tri stringer. The range would be between the tri stringer and the reflux and have good painting but ok ink efficiency.
I though of an idea myself: The Matchstick brush, its based of a Match and when it Rolls, it starts to light on "fire", which increases its damage, but lowers its speed, it can light up faster if you hit enemies with it, its ink effiency is fine, but it wastes more if its on fire, swings go in a curved pattern, Sub Weapon: Splat Bomb to hit opponents farther in case you slow down and Special Weapon: Splattercolor Screen or whatever its called
These are all so cool, you should make more! Also I myself came up with a few concepts such as: a megaphone blaster that shoots a shorter range wave that explodes, or a brella that's a ceiling fan and repels enemy ink and turns it into your own ink, but only from the front. Oh also a fountain pen brush the gets a wider ink trail but more ink consumption the longer you hold it down.
Love the Tidy Up Roller! That type of control over your weapon's power is cool. Perhaps the roller would start in roll mode, and swing once you release the ZR button!
If they put in the gumdrop splatling they gotta make it a whole splatoon-ninjala collab, I have no clue how that hasn't happened yet, I love both of these games so much!
it’s cool to see other youtubers in the video, but what’s even cooler is the weapons that you all created! (also, as a brella main i love your brella ideas!
Hear me out on this, the merry brella. A double jump hover similar to peachette at the cost of not being able to shoot a second after you land, fast falling time, and a dart like fire rate that pierces through enemy inklings and hits good damage when it lands. It would probably be paired with fizzy bombs and tacticooler to help even when you are in the air. You wouldn’t be able to attack in any way while in air while also being extremely vulnerable to attacks but I think a runaway is a great way to reposition yourself when your in a pinch
Weapon idea harpoon shooter, it shoots out a harpoon you can hit multiple people with, and it has point sensor, when you harpoon a sensed opponent you will also sense the closest player to them, and it's ult is some kind of mobile railgun
I've also had an idea for a new special , and i also dont know what to cal it. It's based on a fire hose, with it shooting out a massive stream of ink (it does push you back slowly) for about 10-15 seconds. BUT- if you point it down at the ground, you get raised into the air quickly, but not far.
I have an idea for a new class: whips! Whips are similar to brushes in the sense that rapidly pressing the fire button swishes it in the air. But when holding the fire button, it leaves the whip on the ground. It’s pretty useless when standing still, it’s real use is when you spin. Running in circles while having the fire button held down causes it to swing around. The faster it swings, the more ink gets flung along with higher damage. I also have a few more ideas for weapons in this class. -Splat whip: Just a plain rope covered in ink. The most basic whip -Toy whip: Based on a Yo-Yo, hitting opponents with the ball part does extra damage -Bead whip: Based on a necklace, flings small balls of ink that bounce a bit after landing (like the bloblobber) If your reading this text, thanks for reading this far. Unless you skipped to the bottom, how rude of you.
This video is reallly good that I'm watching this the second time, I love the Shade brella as you shoot in front means enemy want to move to the side so they are forced to fight or have to retreat than flanking the side
I love them all. The milking machine being my favorite. And for some ideas, a trashcan slosher, with a slow and wide spread, their sub would be the fizzy bomb as you could find soda cans in the trash, and the special would be ink vac, to emphasize the cleaning archetype.
I had the idea of a charger based off a pipette used in biology experiments. These tools are very precise and used to mesure small quantities of liquid after use you may press the pusher piston to relase the air and small droplets that would have been stuck inside. Small quantities of liquid means great ink efficiency. The gimmic of the weapon is a normal charged shoot that don't take very long to charge followed by a widespread shot around the inkling that paint but don't deal big damages.
Curlie dualies (dualies made from curly straws) gimmick - unlimited rolls (still costs ink like usual), but each one you do adds some more to your endlag turret mode doesn’t add much, lightweight, with toxic mist and taticooler
Dude this video is so well made, the animation is smooth, the concepts are amazing, the portrayal of everything technical that comes into making a weapon is great, and the kits were well balanced. Overall 10/10 video.
these were all so clever, I audibly said "that's so cool" multiple times throughout this video. good job to everyone in the video for these awesome ideas!!
I have this one idea for a weapon, it would be like a flat iron, tapping the button would be like a charger tap shot, and holding the button would shoot out fog that works like toxic mist and deals damage over time. It would have torpedo to seek people out in the fog, and big bubbler to have a sort of base of operations.
Heres an idea for a weapon the gauntlewhips there a full on melee weapon letting you pull in people andthe normal attack wouldnt do much damage but let you stun lock people and it also has dodge rolls with much greater movement than the normal dodge rolls
My idea is the "Recharger Splatling" basically a splatling based off a energy bank. with being nearly identical to regular splatlings, with difference in a bit more inking over range, it has a gimmick of "storing" one full charge. It works like first you'll have to fully charge it and then drop into the ink to store that charge, it will spend a lot more Ink from the tank that it would if you shoot it right away, but next time you'll start charging and press sub weapon button. you'll use that stored charge for instant full charge.
Before Splatoon 3 was fully announced, I came up with a melee weapon that was at the time akin to the brush, but now is along the lines of the splatana. You know those molds for popsicles? The idea was that as a sword and a sheath. You build up ink around the sword proper and swing it out all at once with I’d say 4 or 5 stages of damage and range, and little chip damage in terrible range when not charged. It would charge faster while swimming in ink. It would also take an appropriate amount of ink from your tank to fire it, ranging between a single dualie shot and a subweapon usage.
I had an idea for a hose like weapon that would act like a brush, but holding the trigger would cause a small and steady stream of ink to spray from the nozzle.
Here's a class concept: The Inkthrower Inkthrower is a lightweight, constantly firing weapon that makes a cloud of ink directly in front of the user, that does incredibly low damage, but applies the same status as stepping into enemy ink for 3 seconds, dealing damage over time, and significantly softening an enemy, but can almost never kill unless it hits someone already at 1 hp. Has Very light ink usage, as well as a "fast" fire rate. It might as well not paint as all, as it has drops of ink fall and paint the floor, similar to inkstorm, but with much shorter range in a rough triangle. I can't think of a sub and special that would fit this really well, so I guess I'll just say: burst bomb for paint and a higher amount of damage, and whatever the new super jump special is called (genuinely forget that it exist 5 seconds after seeing it.)
Dear cod each and every concept if flipping amazing. Design, name, kit theme. All are incredibly creative while still seeming like they where obviously fitting they feel like they should already be in the game. And to top it off, you show them firing to help visualize how they would work in-game! (this really helps me btw). Amazing video!
Here's a good weapon idea, the Cross Splatter. If you hold down the shoot button (I think it was ZR?) it acts as some sort of pseudo-Blaster that shoots small explosive ink bursts that has the same range but does half the damage of a normal Blaster. BUT. If you hold down a certain button (maybe ZL or something? Idk, just find a currently unused button) it turns into a slightly more powerful pseudo-charger that shoots a straightforward snipe shot that won't stop until WALL or OUT OF BOUNDS.
which of these weapons is your favorite?

If only it was real.
I think it would look like a puddle jumper, it’s a little propeller on a stick that you spin around in your hands to make it fly over small puddles, hence the name.
I demand they unnerf the brella
very intresting
This man's creativity is off the charts, not only with the weapon concepts, but also the presentation. It was fun to see you all making these!

I'm getting TF2 loose cannon vibes from this and I approve it
I NEED MORE WHIMSICAL WEAPONS !! It's one of the best parts about Splatoon honestly, such a creative theme for a game, so I loveee seeing people make up new ones. I'm really enjoying this so far!
I know, all the different weapons in splatoon look super cool, but so many are boring. Especially the shooters, they are all just tweaked stats
Best part about splatoon weapons are that most of them are based off of certain objects such as the squeezer, which is based off of a bottle (no duh)
This video spoiled me so much it made me kinda mad at Nova, like, we need more interesting new weapons like these, not just Splattershot 4
Ever wanted to commit murder with a bidet? A spray paint gun? A fricken FABREEZE BOTTLE AND TURKEY BASTER? Well now you can
Can we just appreciate the editing in this for a second?? Wowza!
for the feather brush I feel like instead of when you're zipping around with it instead of running behind it like the other brushes you could get on it and the tail end of it (the feathers) would be at an angle down so it still gives that thin line like the other brushes and is close to the ground. I think that would make sense with it being the fastest since you don't actually have to run, and it would make sense with the whole flying gimmick (without actually making it fly.) plus I think seeing somebody zip around like a witch on the battle field would be hilarious
I was lost until you said "like a witch" (sorry for insulting your english)
Fun fact: i have a new splatoon gun project and very special! (Reason: unreleased subweapon and special, 2in1 (blaster and roller) )
Wouldn't that make it slower since you're not moving through your own ink or am I misremembering how a game I've never played works?
As a Splatana main, the Tuber seems super fun to play with. I also thought of a Toothbrush based Splatana. since the brush is at the tip of the weapon, the regular slash has much longer range and painting capability than the charge slash. However because theres no brush at the base the charge slash cant one-shot. To combat that, it can charge hold while you swim so you can manuever around close opponents. Great weapon ideas!
Dear god he predicted the decavitator
Brushes really need more weapons in its arsenal and I would be so happy to use these brushes provided in this video.
Preferably also with reduced lag on bouncing off somebody or reversed bounce velocity so ramming somebody normally sends you through them
Please... No more brushes

Well, now I'm just sad that I can't use these super cool weapons. You guys managed to make make the gimmicks of these weapons so interesting, I feel like I could genuinely main any of them!

I like how the featherbrush's handle is shaped like the bare part of a quill, almost like a quill pen
The effort in this video is amazing! The animation is great and the way you guys talk with each other makes it feel like you’re all sitting together recording. Keep up the great work!
11:11 that's almost exactly what I thought failboat is going to say in that video:)
Here's my pitch:
The *Splatana X!* It's based off of the legendary sword Excalibur and foam swords.
Found Mr.Grizz’s alt account. What you described was the GrizzCo Splatana Stamper. XD
Palette punchers- paint palette boxing gloves you can put on your feet and skate around. Possible ink blocking/repelling abilities
These were all SO creative! Loved it!
Thanks! Put a lot of love and effort into this :)

I’ve never seen a video of yours, but I’m blown away by the presentation! I barely play Splatoon and yet I watched the video for the fun ideas, the animations and the editing! Real top notch stuff, keep it up!
Not only are the weapon designs awesome, but so is the presentation.
There already does exist hoses in the game with the Nozzlenoses, but this is a pretty neat idea!
These are awesome! Would love to see more concept art to get a better feel for how they work, since i couldn’t grasp some. Overall very cool, love the references.
Oh my word this was a really enjoyable video
Everything was neatly presented with personality, the animation is fun to look at, and of course, the concepts are amazing. The last weapon you guys mentioned might be really good for the next season update coming at the end of may
To throw in my own little suggestion
-Water Purifier Splatling with Bloblobber bubbles instead of bullets
-Condiment Blaster with a Ketchup bottle for it's weapon tank that shoots out multiple blaster shots at once (to make up for blaster RNG)
funnily enough at the tail end of editing I thought of the condiment one haha
woah the creativity put into inventing these new weapons are just phenomenal!
It can kill in one hit, but limited in mobility, and is something the series has never done before!
dan: its clever right?
chara:...no, moving on
All those weapons look so good, i wish they were real! Splatoon's unique and creative aspect is one of the thing that i love the most about it!
i think the Splatana marker and calcium Splatling are my favorites. some of these are great ideas and a few of them should even be actually brought into the game. i love this video and all the visuals. i especially like collabs between youtubers, so this was a good watch.
I think also letting the feather brush slow your decent when rolling would be nice
Definitely not too big of a slow down but enough to justify keeping most of your speed when falling

The idea of a new Brella:
BeachWash Brella.
I really enjoyed these different weapon's and their properties. Feels nice to see some alternative takes for things like the brella.
You need to do a part 2 of this video for specials, it would be so cool!!
I'm 26 seconds in and the animation is incredible, the video topic is interesting, the editing is really cool. This'll be a great watch
I can absolutely get behind the Spritz Dualies. Those seem like they'd be fun for Turf War and Splatfest shenanigans
One thing I really wish Splatoon would add is a weapon class based on flamethrowers, and I've been really trying hard to make an idea for one!
This is what I have currently:
Sprayer weapon class idea
Sprayers - A weapon class based on flamethrowers that have mainly chip damage based weapons.
Sprayer Class Weapons:
*Graffi-T 93* - The most basic sprayer weapon, being the icon for sprayers.
*Graffi-T 93 stats:*
Mobility: Normal (Midweight weapon type)
Ink consumption: Medium-low (can keep firing for a long time)
Kill-time: Medium-slow (not the fastest at killing, but not super slow)
Range: Midline (about the same as mini-splatling, maybe a little more range)
Turf Coverage: good (pretty good at painting)
*Sting-Spray PSI* - The backliner sprayer weapon, based on the stingray special from splatoon 2.
*Sting-Spray PSI stats:*
Mobility: low (Heavyweight weapon type)
Ink consumption: Fairly High (Cant spray for a super long time to prevent having only a huge stalling laser for most of the match. Would also have white ink frames like range blaster)
Kill-time: Medium-Fast (About the same time as it had as a special in splatoon 2, maybe a bit faster)
Range: Backline (a little further than splat charger. Goes to about 85% of its normal range when firing from behind a wall)
Turf Coverage: Below Average (Its not really good at painting for its team)
*PestiFyre Spray* - A frontline sprayer weapon based on pesticide spray, coming from fire and pesticide combined together.
*PestiFyre Spray stats: *
Mobility: High (lightweight weapon type)
Ink consumption: Medium (it's not gonna be able to fire for as long as the Graffi-T 93 can, but its still pretty good)
Kill Time: Slow (It's not gonna kill the fastest on its own, the DoT does make up for this tho)
Range: Frontline (In between splash-o-matic and splattershot range)
Turf Coverage: Great (Really good at painting)
Ideas for kits:
Graffi-T 93: Autobomb + Wavebreaker (location support based kit)
Sting-Spray PSI: Beakon + Killer Wail (beacon gives it something to use because this thing definitely cannot follow up on bombs and killer wail just gives it more lasers to displace)
PestiFyre Spray: Fizzy Bomb + Ink Storm (chip damage hell)
Woah!! These are all so creative, you guys did great! My favorite HAS to be the Calcium Splatling though. I've always wanted a weapon like that.
I paused at 10:11 and it's cursed (when he starts rolling over the others) 😭
And also I love these concepts!
6:18 finally all my years of links crossbow training will come to a use.
THESE ARE SICK! I also love brellas so I have even more brella ideas >:D
*B3 Brella*
- A lightweight brella that shoots in rapid bursts of three, it takes four shots to splat an opponent but it shoots VERY fast.
- Has the same quick canopy opening time as Splat Brella - while the canopy is open, you have a much higher strafing speed, however the canopy has less health and fires off slightly faster than splat brella.
*Pinwheel Brella*
- A short range brella that has a wide blast of ink
- When you open your canopy, the pinwheel on the front starts spinning and the brella will glide forwards in whatever direction you held it attatched by a chain. When you close the canopy this is recalled immediately
- If the canopy gets too far away, then the chain breaks and it will fly away on its on as if you had fired the canopy
- The canopy will do high damage to enemies it hits so it could be a tactic to try and hit your opponents with it!
What are they based on design wise.
These are really awesome ideas, i have a couple too 😈
The Splat-Flossers
(Flossers for short)
Press the Attack button (I can't remember if its Zr or Zl) once to open up a Metal shield that absorbs enemy ink if shot at it. And press it again to shoot all that enemy ink back as your ink. Hold the Attack button to Charge up Ink and shoot it all in a flurry, similar to a splatling. It doesn't deal much damage but it can shoot really far.
Wave Riders
(Riders for short)
Basically Surfboard, its a combination of the Roller and the Splatana, it's normal attack is basically just the splatana attack with more range and less damage, but when you hold the attack button, while moving you can surf on land, spreading ink around
Why is this so beautifully animated? Wow!
I would love to see this group make their own patches.
I misread patches as plushes
@@RyneMcKinney That too! Well, fail already has one.
Genuinely incredible presentation, I rarely see anyone SHOW the fire rate of weapons instead of showing the number attached to it. Simple but getting the most out of everything!
1:39 "The ink comes out of the tip"
Sus
My idea for a stringer would be one of those handheld harps. It would shoot 5 bullets that do around 22 damage per shot. It could also be a burst type weapon shooting twice if fully charged. The charge speed would be a bit faster than the tri stringer. The range would be between the tri stringer and the reflux and have good painting but ok ink efficiency.
LOVE IT!
"The ink comes out the tip, but the rest is solid." Just like my pe-
?
-n
I though of an idea myself: The Matchstick brush, its based of a Match and when it Rolls, it starts to light on "fire", which increases its damage, but lowers its speed, it can light up faster if you hit enemies with it, its ink effiency is fine, but it wastes more if its on fire, swings go in a curved pattern, Sub Weapon: Splat Bomb to hit opponents farther in case you slow down and Special Weapon: Splattercolor Screen or whatever its called
Yeah it’s called that
Well did you like the concept
Wow the scripting and animation on this are tight, crazy how long this video maintains its pace. Real solid.
These are all so cool, you should make more! Also I myself came up with a few concepts such as: a megaphone blaster that shoots a shorter range wave that explodes, or a brella that's a ceiling fan and repels enemy ink and turns it into your own ink, but only from the front. Oh also a fountain pen brush the gets a wider ink trail but more ink consumption the longer you hold it down.
a megaphone was an initial idea we had for the pulse dualies bahaha
Nintendo should take notes
Yeah
Love the Tidy Up Roller!
That type of control over your weapon's power is cool. Perhaps the roller would start in roll mode, and swing once you release the ZR button!
Nintendo, take notes
idea
the dual splat-stops
a dual pistol with a spread of a shotgun, allows you to splat enemies while dodging close range attacks and keeping distance
Let's take the moment to appreciate how much effort he puts into his content for us
The gumdrop splatling is my favorite
If they put in the gumdrop splatling they gotta make it a whole splatoon-ninjala collab, I have no clue how that hasn't happened yet, I love both of these games so much!
I like how for most of the weapons (if not all of them) they act like it’s a sales pitch
just getting into character, that's exactly what Sheldon does lol
it’s cool to see other youtubers in the video, but what’s even cooler is the weapons that you all created!
The most basic whip
-Toy whip: Based on a Yo-Yo, hitting opponents with the ball part does extra damage
-Bead whip: Based on a necklace, flings small balls of ink that bounce a bit after landing (like the bloblobber)
If your reading this text, thanks for reading this far.
THE JO CURV LOOKS SO FUN I love mine launchers man
i love this video so much, the creativity you guys have is so crazy. i honestly wish some of these could be canon weapons in the game
Curlie dualies (dualies made from curly straws)
gimmick - unlimited rolls (still costs ink like usual), but each one you do adds some more to your endlag
turret mode doesn’t add much, lightweight, with toxic mist and taticooler
Dude this video is so well made, the animation is smooth, the concepts are amazing, the portrayal of everything technical that comes into making a weapon is great, and the kits were well balanced. Overall 10/10 video.
these were all so clever, I audibly said "that's so cool" multiple times throughout this video. good job to everyone in the video for these awesome ideas!!
5:15 So, like an explosher, where you have to hit both the direct shot and the explosion to kill in one hit?
Don’t see why not! Could also go both ways
My idea is the "Recharger Splatling"
basically a splatling based off a energy bank. with being nearly identical to regular splatlings, with difference in a bit more inking over range, it has a gimmick of "storing" one full charge. It works like first you'll have to fully charge it and then drop into the ink to store that charge, it will spend a lot more Ink from the tank that it would if you shoot it right away, but next time you'll start charging and press sub weapon button. you'll use that stored charge for instant full charge.
Suggestions for different names:
Splatana Marker - Streamlined splatana
Tidy-up roller - Sploaker roller
Zap blaster - N' Zip
Feather brush - Splash N dash
Splatana tuber - Smackdown splatana
8:57 : The pinwhorl could be a high ticket payout if it was in the Octo expansion.
11:57 Juice that makes your head explode!
Here's a class concept:
The Inkthrower
Inkthrower is a lightweight, constantly firing weapon that makes a cloud of ink directly in front of the user, that does incredibly low damage, but applies the same status as stepping into enemy ink for 3 seconds, dealing damage over time, and significantly softening an enemy, but can almost never kill unless it hits someone already at 1 hp.
Brilliantly fun video! As a brush main, I loved the two you guys came up with!
