Great video, I did alot of the same work on my 4 cyl Notch. I restored 90% of the car and still have to change a few things, it never ends. I wish I would've swapped my 4cyl Notch with a coyote. The money I spent on the 5.0 engine and trans I could've purchased a coyote drive trane. I'm not happy with the engine trans combo, I'm actually thinking about selling the 5.0 and starting over.
Cool project. And good tips on what to look for. I’m curious what is the performance of the 4 cylinder vs 8. I know the 8 has more power but I was wondering if you could do another video on what’s the best to get out of a 4 cylinder. I enjoyed it. Look forward for more to come. You nailed it.👍🤩
I've been working on my 93 4cyl notch for a few years now and I can tell you its just slow and powerless. theres nothing to be gained out of it unless you swap it to a turbo from a thunderbird or an svo or something. but ive swapped my to a 5spd t5 and it made it a little better just driving and power wise, maybe its just a placebo feel honestly but the 4cyl fox is just a slow, but reliable engine. you can take the dampener out of your intake and ive seen a few things about swapping plug wire positions on the 8 plug 4cyl engines but i wasnt really sold on that. Theres not much info at all about the 4cyl fox but A LOT of 5.0 information is still useful cause you learn where a lot of shit is or should be and you learn about the car in general. and the 4cyl engine is a pretty basic and simple set up and great to work/learn on.
Have you ever swapped one using Holley efi? I’m considering doing that since I don’t have anything to go off of on my coupe and with parts expensive or hard to find seems like a easy option but idk.
@pcpalan yeah... if it has to be a sbf 408w ftw... but with the prices of gen 1 f150 motors the swap really isn't too far from a good built 351w.. the priciest thing is gonna be the control pack.. I've seen the control pack cost more then the motor..lol..

Bro i used to have a 1993 2.3L 4-cylinder Mustang man I loved that car back when I was in High School Good Times Driving around Virginia...haha
I bought a 90 2.3 and a completely rotted 90 GT. Went smooth 👍

351w would have been a better start

Might sell the car to your boy Rios !
Did you have to change the k member
Do you have a shop? Where you located? I have a 4 cylinder coupe idk if want a coyote swap or Just make it a 5.0. Are you taking in work?

Holley makes things easier IMO. You don’t use a mass air meter so swapping Injectors is clicking a few buttons.
Like it so is it for sale
@@hkpoweralajmi5170 yes sure

Hello
After gen 2 loki swapping my 90 coupe I'll never again 302 351w swap a fox ever again...
Same here. But not everyone can do a coyote swap, so a sbf will do !

Dude... hold the camera still. Edit: Nevermind I gave up trying to watch. Interesting idea though.

@@pcpalan Yea, but you could look at it one minute and know to hold the camera still. You are welcome.
@@RonsChann or even easier, you can just not watch it?
