I have a 4 to 8, 88 hatch with blue interior and bright regatta blue paint. 4 to 8 done properly can be great cars since chassis not abused before 8 gets installed. Do subframe connectors and torque boxes if being driven hard and the car will be perfect
That car would sound better with just open headers! My brother in law told me to stay away from pypes stuff. I had always intended to go with flowmasters anyway, but hearing that car makes me even happier.
Those base LX cars were known for the "taxi cab interior ", so in that regard, the blue fits right in. And yeah, when you said the pypes exhaust sounded heinous, you weren't kidding. Great video, thanks.
@@TheInfamousProject Hi Chris. I've never really ridden around in four cylinder seats very much but they do look pretty comfy. My car has sport seats and on a road trip I do get a little case of numb butt. Great job on the four to eight swap and thanks for showing us a step by step how to. Bill. 🦊😀

Excellent work as always! I like the blue interior, but f it were 2- toned it would break it up a bit. Som matching blue leather Recaros would be sick!

Overall the car looks awesome and you did a great job. I would of loved to have that as my first car. The exhaust does sound terrible. I can't wait to do the swap on my notch. Slowly piecing everything together. Im probably going a little overboard with the process but I'm not going for a straight stock conversion.
Looks great! That exhaust surely sounds bad. Thanks for the transparency on those mufflers. That car should last a long time. The stance looks really good Chris. I reviewed all parts of this build and seen where you said you cut 1.5 coils off the front v8 springs, but what did you end up doing with rear springs if you don’t mind sharing?
Hi Chris. Great video and build! Looking for your opinion if you don’t mind. I recently bought an 89 notch roller, no motor/ trans. Original 5.0, 5 speed car, nice paint and interior. The car has a new UPR k member and coil over’s installed by previous owner who was planning on building an LS race car. I plan on keeping the car mostly stock and have a good running complete parts car. Would it make sense to swap back in the factory K member from my parts car or do you think it would be a good improvement and to just leave it in place? Thanks and love the channel! Your videos are a wealth of information to us all!
Depends what you want ultimately.. if it were me and it was going to be a street cruiser, I would just make sure that all suspension parts you use have good bushings for the street and not solid race spec stuff. IE your control arms, motor mounts etc. The coil overs really have no value to street driven cars imo
Thanks. I appreciate your opinion. I’ve never driven a car with the coil overs and I know this guy was going with more a track focused race set up. I’m happy to return he car to a more street / driver. The car came with folders of original paperwork and was able track down the original owner of 24 years. He provided a lot of history and photos of when it was new. Im super excited to own my first notch! Thank you!
Turned out awesome, like the white on blue is a better choice then the god awful porno red interior. The looks really clean, awesome job on the trim, the motor sounds great, it does need some flow masters, like the wheels as well the chrome does look good with the white.

Basically my high school dream car, and one I'd love to own now. I imagine it'll bring years of fun, and it's nice seeing these driving around.

The blue guts would be the dealbreaker for me, absolutely beautiful 93 Hatch, I currently still own my “first” Foxbody!
That and the fact that is a LX hatch.
Honestly I thought the blue looked great! Being like everyone else gets old with the black or red interior. To each their own.

Sweet maybe some blue paint on the calipers to match the interior 😏 Your work speaks for itself 😎
That blue is rad!
I like the blue interior and the manual windows but I'm old 🤣
