What if you had the chance to do all this but didn’t do it and now your husband left and he won’t talk to you at all unless it’s about your daughter??? I agree with the signs and the point of putting in effort for your own changes. But some of the phrasing/framing used in this video sounds slightly manipulative. Not all of it, but a couple times my ears perked up. HOWEVER, I do agree these things can help keep the door open for them to return and both hearts open to healing.

It’s always about what she wants… us men has no say in anything. Folks separation does not make an marriage better and it does not make the relationship work period. Separation adds up to a divorce. Anytime a woman say she wants separation just ask her what day she wants the divorce cause most separation ends in a divorce and the system is set to only let the woman make the decision but not the man.
When you treat your husband like a child, emasculating him because you want to dominate and contol (out of fear of loss and personal insecurity and unhappiness with yourself), you will drive him away. You bash him and are not a wife, and then are clueless why he doest want to be with you. Start first with immediately accepting responsibility for your hostile and dishonest action breaking your vows to him, and maybe you have a chance. If you are separated, just hit pause. Don’t push for divorce. Use that time to dig deep into your own personal behaviors that are contributing to the conflicts. Stop trying to fix your partner. Focus on what you can change. Not unreasonable things - healthy things you need to change to show up as your best self. Choose to love. As a man I just remember how calm & peaceful it was being separated from my wife's drama. Being away allowed her other man to have her full time & even he got tired of having her & the kids full time and left.
lack of a 'safe place' when communicating might have had a lot to do with why the separation happened. Difficult to re-set how both interacted for years, but I'm sure it's possible. Men are seldom given a safe space to express feelings or their view of what's happened. .

I don't mean this to offend or anything but it's nice to see someone else going through something similar. I know your pain and feel for you. My wife left me last June for a guy in our friend group. She started lying about me to the group and her aunt who is the only family she has left and cut all ties with me and blocked all communication except through attorney's which she then blamed me for getting when I got one only after hers contacted me about signing separation papers giving her our house.

I agree with the signs and the point of putting in effort for your own changes. But some of the phrasing/framing used in this video sounds slightly manipulative. Not all of it, but a couple times my ears perked up.

Separation adds up to a divorce. Anytime a woman say she wants separation just ask her what day she wants the divorce cause most separation ends in a divorce and the system is set to only let the woman make the decision but not the man.
When you treat your husband like a child, emasculating him because you want to dominate and contol (out of fear of loss and personal insecurity and unhappiness with yourself), you will drive him away. You bash him and are not a wife, and then are clueless why he doest want to be with you. Start first with immediately accepting responsibility for your hostile and dishonest action breaking your vows to him, and maybe you have a chance. It is not about communication, it is not about him opening up his emotions and being more feminine, it is you not being emotionally mature. All of this behavior to cope with your feeling about yourself, leads to your sorrow- forever
