For a car hit scene, you have to check out the one from a little film called The Suspicious Death of a Minor. A guy gets hit by a car and somehow transitions into a head spin.
You guys HAVE to do Death Proof. PLEASE breakdown the initial stuntman mike hit OR the ending car chase. So many incredibly talented people worked on that movie including many who were veterans of the old stunt world working along side rising talent stunt performers.
Not quite a car hit, but that whip swing down into the front of a jeep in the opening scene of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is pretty great, and I'd love to find out more about how they did it. There's a lot of pretty amazing stunts in that whole sequence too which might also be interesting to look at!
We need more stuntwomen reactions! Don't know what to request, I'll just let you experts do the choosing (car hits is a great idea, what's real & what's fake. Plus is it really necessary to have real car hits?)
I love how she uses logic "of course the bulls were cg, they didn't actually run over the car", after saying they were riding along with the bike. I mean, might as well

Great episode, loved hearing so much from both of them, great stories and insight! I’ve suggested this car hit before, but now it’s time has come! There’s a great/bad 80s horror film (the best kind, honestly) called Phantom of the Mall: Eric’s Revenge, with a car chase where a guy gets a pretty brutal sideswipe that I would love to see you all break down.
The car hit that really threw me was in Orphan Black, season 1 episode 9 right at the end. Little girl Kira gets flattened out of nowhere and it was so visceral.
There's a stunt at the end of Burt Reynold's Gator, 1976 involving a stuntman and a car on the beach that you absolutely need to cover for the channel. Stunt is one unbroken shot, no cutting to obscure - just a real live person doing something recklessly dangerous & one of the absolute most bonkers things I've seen in a film.
Post CG car hits are clearly different because I feel like majority of projects struggle to make the physicals look cohesive as well as have the scene flow great. That “Always Sunny” episode displayed that. The impact doesn’t sell 100% and then the multiple cuts cause it to lose any tension of danger or damage to the viewer. If they manage to perform the physics correctly and make it look like one-shot ‘stitched’ it could work effectively.
Recommendation for an Animators React episode: The anime FLCL created and directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki. Full of style and mood, going over the top on anime tropes and blending techniques in a way somewhat reminiscent of Into the Spiderverse. They seem to have had a ton of fun creating it!
Always love seeing Amy in these stunt vids!! Such a badass at what she does! Nice seeing Kimberly too! She's amazing at stunts too! World love to see them cover the fight scene in Lost Bullet 2 with Lino vs the cops!
I agree so much with the car hits. Being creative with it is more rewarding to watch than an actual hit. Like she said in the video, most for the times they just cut away anyway. No point in doing it if it’s not shown fully.
Would love to see a breakdown of one of the fight scenes in the show “My Name.” I love the way they filmed the female protagonist. There was virtually no “male gaze” in the way they costumed, choreographed, and filmed her.
So glad you looked at Atomic Blonde. The apartment fight scene with the hitmen has the best fatigue progression of a movie fight, ever. Almost nothing else comes close to it realistically.
For as real as all those stunts in Knight and Day where, why do they all look so fake though? the real trains look fake, the real bulls look fake, what is it that makes me "doubt" that they're real?

There's a stunt at the end of Burt Reynold's Gator, 1976 involving a stuntman and a car on the beach that you absolutely need to cover for the channel. Stunt is one unbroken shot, no cutting to obscure - just a real live person doing something recklessly dangerous & one of the absolute most bonkers things I've seen in a film.
havent seen Amy in soo long...good to be back!

That is THE most hilarious car hit I've ever seen in my life.
Y’all gotta get Zoe Bell on the couch and react to the second half of DeathProof! Triumph for stuntwomen.
YESSSSSS!!!!!
I agree so much with the car hits. Being creative with it is more rewarding to watch than an actual hit. Like she said in the video, most for the times they just cut away anyway. No point in doing it if it’s not shown fully.
That vocal fry 🥴🥴🥴🥴
Would love to see a breakdown of one of the fight scenes in the show “My Name.” I love the way they filmed the female protagonist. There was virtually no “male gaze” in the way they costumed, choreographed, and filmed her.
So glad you looked at Atomic Blonde. The apartment fight scene with the hitmen has the best fatigue progression of a movie fight, ever. Almost nothing else comes close to it realistically.
Love how you just show tony jaa twice for the knees, definitely the best knees in action
For as real as all those stunts in Knight and Day where, why do they all look so fake though? the real trains look fake, the real bulls look fake, what is it that makes me "doubt" that they're real?
Amy is a great host. I mean Niko is too but we knew that already.
Keep it up. Love these.
Nikko does a great job of letting the guests talk and explain the stunts
That Tim & Eric car hit just gets me every time! 🤣 Using dummies is the IRL version of rag-doll physics in games.
Finally, another stuntperson reacts!!
The car hit on Sharlto Copley in Gringo(2018)!
I think you guys should react to "THALLUMALA" it has some of the best action choregraphy ever made in Indian cinema.
