You need to seriously adjust the air/fuel mixture. Its SUPER rich. You need to turn the scren on the bottom IN to lean the idle mixture which will raise the idle also. One you reach max RPM doing that, adjust idle speed screw to the desired idle. it'll run MUICH better

Wear some gear too... otherwise you'll end up turning yourself in to hamburger... Been there, done that... took most of the skin from my wrist to my elbow off... took weeks digging out all the sand and dirt embedded...
And the back brake can stop you from busting your ass

you are supposed to adjust the idle when the bike is warm and do it while it is running.
Adjust the pilot fuel screw if it's bogging or adjust needle clip positon! Idle does nothing to stop bogging all your doing is bypassing the pilot circuit and just lifting the slide. Do some research on how carbs work then I'll take ya seriously @exotic motion

When your choke is "closed" that means it's on, if the choke is "open" that means it's off.

When you adjust the idle screw always twist the throttle back, screwing in the idle screw with the slide down just causes the screw to dig into the slide

a 4 stroke is hard to wheelie. i used to practice all the time. one time out of the blue i wheelied it across the field...and nobody saw smh. idk how i did it.
So you didn't go over if it bogs lol. And that's exactly what's going on with mine.
With any Chinese carbed bike you need to check your towns altitude and rejet the carb
Use back brake to bring bike down during wheeleys. Touch the rear brake to bring the front down
Uses flat head on a Philip screw
If you look it was also flat head
Idle screws are flat heads
This happened to me - what I did was I basically just turned it back on and kept acceleration going, and it worked
What do you mean like just half throttle wide open or accelerate to full throttle and let off over and over again?

I found on my bike the factory or dealer installed two extra gaskets between the carb and intake and the needle for the throttle need to be adjusted and then the idle screw a bit and now it starts and runs like a dream.

Maybe I am wrong.... but you imply from the start that you open the choke to start your bike and I think you mean with your choke on and you are mixing up open and closed versus on and off.
If you rev up your bike and it takes a bit too idle back down check your float height is not too high .
What does that mean ? Help please I hit the gas and let off and it stay revving high

Wow! Your videos- (I’ve observed 2 of them-) pros- you showed the carburetor you purchased as you were opening the package from amazon, so we saw what you got all at once. You speak about what you have done or do to your carbs on the bikes you have. Cons- wearing sneakers- you never ride motorcycles, especially dirt bikes in sneakers. Shouldn’t even kick start a dirt bike with sneakers on, a lot of people get hurt doing that. Not wearing a helmet, ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET! A simple bump to the cranium can result in permanent paralysis or vegetative state. Indian Larry bumped his head going 5 miles an hour. Ride and built motorcycles all his life, don’t be another person that gets injured by not wearing a helmet. Set a positive example and ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET! ALWAYS! Overall, I enjoy your videos and I have subscribed and liked the videos I’ve observed! Keep up the good work!

i have the same bike. Mine is an XMOTO anyway after i bought it i simpley replaced the cab and the bike was perfect since then i have crashed and i put the bike up for a while. thought about selling it but i reconsidered cause i like the bike so much and i wanted to learn to rebuild it. my issue is I got a new carb and it idles fine and its not to rich or lean its stoick (if thats the word) balanced but when I go into gear and accelerate the bike bogs. i have turned and twisted every screw and its still the same. my car engine blew and this could be my only transportation i have turned it street legal (i recommend is so nice) anyway im wondering if you have any shimes for me...gems to help me out. thanks
mine bogs when i quickly rev it and when i turn the idle screw in or out the idle jumps and its hard to get it to idle. also when i want to pop a wheelie no power and bogs. Im thinking it would be the pilot screw?

The choke open really wouldn’t matter too much and by the way don’t embarrass yourself again and say four strokes have a power band
The Motocrüe all internal combustion engines have a power band. All a power band is referring to is where the engine makes peak hp and peak torque

Don’t bottom the screw, do a turn down, crank and adjust while it is idling. Better than that just buy a mikuni (genuine) carb. The carbs they build these Chirt bikes with are pure poo poo!
Obviously the top 5 are stellar bikes, but these are fun beaters. For cheap.

I have an Apollo 250 RX. It bogs no matter how I adjust the carb choke on or off. Bought a new carb and still bogs so at this point I don't think its the carb. No that spark plug either unless its something electrical. Any suggestions would be great and thanks!

FuckThaOpps So go behind the horn and there’s a cylinder looking black thing with two green wires attached. Make sure the terminals aren’t corroded and it’s on good.
To fix any issue. Take carb apart. Everything. Clean or replace the pilot. Clean the pilot seat. In my case I Terrill it bigger but don’t drill to the ventry. Less chances to get clogged. Then reset the float. Clean the main even if it looks clean. And put it back in. Also use compress air. On the mixture screw take it out and compress air. Mine had shards from factory now it works butifully. Also replaced the screwes with hand twist instead of flat head screw
I'm having problems with my 250cc dirt bike when I give it throttle its struggling to pick up speed and sputtering and when I chanve it into a higher gear it does the same thing I've turned the idle screw for the revs still struggling when let the clutch out can u help me thanks mate

My bike started running rough today,
will not hold a steady idle or rpm even
at about 1/4 + throttle, but accelerates
like a banshi if I get on the gas.
I changed out spark plug,
checked air filter...shrugs...

Hey im having issued with my bike same as yours but i would like to see how the connections on the hoses are connected because its licking gas tru the air filter
You probably attached youre fuel line to youre overflow just switch them around.
Krispy Cheese everything works normal but its just liking from the bottom hose
Ronny Marte that bottom hose on the carb is the overflow one, it’s designed to let any excess fuel out

i just got my dirtbike 2 days ago and when i rode it for a bit the exhaust pipe got cherry red is that really bad its cold outside and it was dark i didn't turn on the choke at all and i didn't let it heat up
What kind of bike is it? Is it stock? What are you running for gasoline? Is it fuel injection or carbed?

Hey my Chinese bike starts only when I get carb spray with it and then later bogs our after 30 seconds max. Cleaned the carb new spark new fuel line. What should I try next? Haven’t used it in maybe 5 years

why is my pitbike shuttering on the 4 gear?
My 2018 SSR 150 keeps bogging. I can't get it to idle right either for you when I get it to run right it has a problem idling. I've cleaned the carburetor I've changed the Jets a size up and also a size down doesn't really make much of a difference. Should I just replace the carburetor?
Whats it mean when the bike is idling high still even after the carb is brand new and you adjusted the fuel screw?
You should re Jett it and I’m not sure if adjusting the air screw would make a difference my bike doing the same thing I just don’t want to take the tank off my bike to get to it (that’s the only way to get to it on my bike) the air screw is the smaller screw next to the idle screw
