For the trickter vocation, if you climb up on the roof (there's a ladder in the back) you can find her physical body, and she'll give you the maister technique for Trickster right away
Instead of doing those long paths through batahl just jump in the carriage with a roof and it will slowly get you through the check point(it's the carriage they won't let you pay for), it's a lot safer and it's right at the checkpoint rest town so it's super fast too
@@DioDinero there's a trick to it if there's no cart out the front of the town( I mean the one you can pay for) sit on the bench and rest to morning, then save and exit the game when you load back in run slightly over the bridge out of town and the carriage(you can't pay for) should be there😁
Be careful getting out of that cart too quickly on the other side of the border, the guards can be hostile and your pawns will obliterate them if they're like mine lol
If you have a saurian tail and fruit wine you can combine them to make newt liquor. I happened to have both items and find out by chance. Figured it was special because when it showed as added to my inventory it was a gold notification instead of a grey one like usual. Glad to know it’s for a quest cuz I stashed it with the inn keeper in town lol.
In Melve you can cheese the 'dragon' by shooting it with a ballista 3 times. The only 'problem' is that you'll have to do quite fast (had to reset by dying 2 times because of skill issues :P). By doing so, you'll unlock the meister skill for the mystic spearhand and get good spear as a bonus :)
I like your comment at the end about not wasting your bc honestly this game doesnt respect its players time at all. It is frustratingly designed sometimes. But this is a great guide! I dont understand why the magick archer isnt unlocked at the elf village tho instead of a random elf in the south....

I watched a guide before this one that didn't tell the steps you need to take for Wayfarer on your way to Magick Archer. Let's just say I was pissed at the end. Good guide here.
You don't need the mask to get trickster as long as you have the note from the main quest. I just went thru the gate as a human no problem without it shortly before watching this.
Nope just followed the main quest thru. I did have the mask in my inventory as i had purchased much earlier but never used it. There was no mention of the mask in the quest to travel past the gate so i didn't even think to put it on. @@LuckyGhost

Nvm realized that’s not the way you were describing. My map was still blacked out and I mistook that route around to the west for water. Found it though, got all 10 vocations now THANKS!
the quest chain updated in my log as soon as a picked them up, it might be worth talking to the npc and seeing if it proceeds as normal (i'd be very curious to see if it works!)
I truly hate that I am so bad at this game that I just had to look up videos on how to complete one part that was driving me freakin nuts....... Since the game doesn't tell you where to go outside of the most vague amount of text in the quest guide I don't feel as bad as I should though looooool.... So with all that as someone that is new to the Dragon's Dogma series with this installment could I get some tips and tricks on how to get the ball rollin early game? I am level 12 I think and playing as Thief and loving it outside of not being about to dodge or I guess block .
Make sure you do NOR have a logistician with you when do the last quest or he/she/beast will turn your herbs into medicine before you can get it to the old man

I didn't see anyone else mention this. When you get to the checkpoint via the main story, you can't take the oxcart to battahl. All that's there is a note saying " all oxcart services are suspended due to monster attacks". So no matter what you're hoofing it, it seems lmao
Great guide. But I disagree when you say that you’re “wasting your time” as a “ new player” just because you like to do every little thing. This is a true heart RPG where you could do whatever you want and whatever pace you want. If you want to be a super efficient player with your time. Great that’s your kind of gameplay. But don’t tell me I’m a new player just because I want to do absolutely everything at my own pace. Thank you for the video .

Okay, for real here, someone has to say it. Raid isn't that bad. I played it a few times over the years and for a really long time when it came out. My main and only problem with the game is even with a gold crystal you still can get common characters... I'm still burned by that lol
"unlock every vocation very early" yeah sure, if you are very lucky.. OR get the thief invisibility type skills. i tried it at level 20 ish and used up ALL of my healing items, with all three pawns dead by the time i got there... (granted if i went empty handed it might have been safer, looting along the way slowed me down) but i did finally make it, and gained about 8 levels just trying to survive. only to realize i forgot the mask, since i didn't need it to get thru the gate and now i can't buy the wine i need? grrrr..
i exidently sold the sorcerer staf but you can get another one from a celestial smithy or something in a checkpoint village i just stil have to find where it is.

pawns can only be the first 6 vocations... fighter, thief, archer, mage from the start, then shortly after you unlock sorcerer and warrior.. but no point in restarting (especially since you can't without deleting files) you just change vocations, it is actually a good idea to play both your character and your pawn through multiple vocations and unlock more passive abilities that benefit them always, and no downside to it.

If a npc dies they go to a morgue and u have a set amount of days to use a wakestone on them to revive from wut I been told. Personally I have found dead bodies stay where they died
How should anyone know the procedure with the mask and the pen without having someone telling them? There are so many things in DD2 you can miss because they are completely by chance. This is not good game design. At some point everyone will look it up on the internet which completely counters the mechanic and experience something in game for the first time. Stupid, stupid, stupid design.

The combat might need some getting used to, I personally enjoy it, at times it can be annoying tho haha, but yeah. Right now the issue is with the CPU so even if you had a high end pc you mightve ended up having issues
for what it's worth, the game's unique take on combat has been one of the most refreshing parts about it for me. Its been a nice break from the same old same old. cheers!

oxcart in the north-west exit leaves from the town you're doing the quest in, and takes you straight to checkpoint village

generally if you leave the area and pass 3-7 days (such as camping repeatedly) it should all reset.

Pawns can't use hybrid vocations anyway so even if it was in the game you still wouldn't be able to
