you can combine rotten foods to make lantern oil so its not a total waste
That’s fekin handy bro
@@luke_dean2704yea i was selling em for 1g each just to reduce weight and thinking they were worthless. lots of lamp oil down the drain.
Omg you’re awesome ❤
in DD1 there was a way to "un rotten" food, by combining it with a sealed container (looked like a coffee mug or thermos) that normally was used to store food and keep it fresh.. not sure if that works in this one, since i haven't seen such an item yet, but might be something to look for.
Now that’s the Dupont method
I feel bad chucking my pawn to open out of reach chests.
Pawn: Master I see a chest over there, I wonder how we will reach it.
Arisen: What do you mean we ?
Lol
Or if youre a fighter, you can use the Springboard vocation skill. You get it at a relatively early rank and is useful for launching your pawns into hard to reach areas or so they can latch into monsters.
But I guess chucking them is also really funny so there's that as well lol
😂
So I was fighting a griffin and hopped on its back. It flew off and we traveled over a town...quite some distance away from my pawns. It eventually shook me off mid-flight, and I fell, I don't know a 100'. I thought I was done for but I heard my faithful pawn shout, "I got you" and she caught me literally saving my life.
we can only dream to have a friend that has our back like our pawns do
It also works if you fall on top of the griffin as well. I was holding onto the griffin as a thief when it was flying and then used the skill that plants an explosive on the griffins head. I ran out of stamina but triggered the explosive right before I fell. The griffin falls faster than you so it fell first and I landed on top of it without taking any damage.
While you ride on it you can stand and get stamina. If it bucks just hold on again. It’ll stop to rest then take flight again. The second time it lands it’ll be at its nest, it has ALOT of good loot including a port key.
If you don't fall from the Griffin, it will fly to its nest. It has cool loot.
If you stayed on the griffin he takes you to its best where there is some S tier loot ( all imma say )
8:05 make sure to upgrade your equipment in the desired Kingdom, as each Kingdom has a different upgrade metric, for example upgrading with Elves will increase the magick and magick defense of your equipment more than in the Human or Beastly kingdoms
Facts ! Dwarv upgrade has best defense for gear and give a lot of knock down for weapons
I would say vermund smithing is the best for mystic Spearhand, as it’s a balanced leveling of magick and strength, and the spear hand is a magick and strength user, obviously dwarven and bhattal smithing for fighter warrior, and elven for magick archer sorcerer and mage. For archer and thief I don’t really know, I guess bhattal or depending on the enchanted weapon
thats a really cool mechanic
@@patricioolivero5032elves for archer. They also has things that increase bow power. You also get the heavenly shot legendary skill
Left bumper and up on the d-pad.. uses a healing item immediately
We need to pin this one
We friends now 😂😂
Thanks a lot
You can point to chests that are too high to reach and press "Go!", and Fighter/Warrior pawns with Springboard/Launch will toss you up there to get it.
Damn that's a goated tip actually. I've thought so much about how I could have easily reached something if they springboarded me up there but didn't think of pressing go lol
Did this myself many times. It's fun too.
Mines dont, they only use springboard near me unexpectedly launching me into space to suffer fall damage 💀
@@HyouVizer It has to be one of the chests that's deliberately out of reach and no other path to it.
I tried that forever ago with a rando pawn and just stood there & did nothing. Only occasionally that pawn would do the catapult me during battles, it has to be a "recall version"
Dragon plague nuke is a fps boost
😂 true
Here’s I wish I had know sooner…already dragonforged my dead ringer in battahli… :/
Pulled from DD2 reddit:
”There are 4 types of enhancements (other than dragonforging):
• Vermund
• Battahli
• Elven
• Dwarven
They all increase stats differently. Their symbols in enhancement screen are different, so you can tell by that where they were enhanced.
Battahli enhancement increases Strength the most, also slightly increases weight.
Elven enhancement increases Magick the most, along with decreasing weight.
Dwarven enhancement increases Knockdown power the most, also slightly increases weight.
Vermund enchancement increases both strength and magick but not as much as either, also decreases weight slightly.
For an endgame weapon, the difference between enhancing a weapon all 3 levels in either of them is pretty significant. For example, Dragon's Bite, endgame Warrior weapon has 421 knockdown power if enhanced anywhere but dwarven, and 720 if enhanced by dwarven along with 530 strength. Has
494 Strength if enhanced by elven and 570 if enhanced by Battahli.
So keep that in mind and enhance weapons accordingly :)”
Sitting on a bench to wait multiple days quickly: Just hit the "doze off" button before your character stands back up and you can chain multiple dozes.
Biggest tip I know, when you find your first Seeker token mark that on your map. Very important for the sphinx
If you're not on PC. Otherwise there's a mod to mark the location on your map when you're on the quest to find it
and if I've forgot a location of the first one ? Damn , I just can remember location of the SECOND one what I've found
@@CML_666 Better luck on NG+ hope you remember soon. Or reset. You are allowed to mess up one riddle though
@@CML_666 if you can’t then sadly you will fail that step and it will end the quest chain.
well the good thing is, you dont need to find 1st seeker location to continue the sphinx quest chain thankfully
2 tips. First you can search for specific oawns by interacting with the riftstone after you enter it. Second, listen to your pawns. I knew more than half of these tips because my pawns mentioned it to me. They sometimes have very good advice
I love how the pawns say there is no way to know if a pawn has the dragon's plague, meanwhile pawns with dragon's plague are constantly saying things like "It is as though I am possessed by an other-wordly strength!"
-Caves usually have higher level gear for each area but they have alot of monsters in them
-the Treasure sensing daggers that you get in the seeker token reward are very helpful in finding chests
-the forgotten rift stone have high level pawns for cheap but they are very off road areas so you have to find them
Clutch
Not just cheap, the forgotten rift stone high lvl pawns cost 0 RC
oooooh so thats what those kind of rifestones are for 😮
@@Channel1005but dont you get less exp still from using higher level pawns tho?
@@HyouVizer That I don't know tbh
That secret token one is going to kill me. I have no idea. Lol
I marked it on my map cause I didn’t know what it was for. I thought maybe there would be more around the area so I marked it. Thank god I did
It was likely in the beginning area of the game (I remember one being in an obvious spot but not exactly where) so you can look up a map of all of the coin locations, check how many there are near in the starting areas, and then go out and check those locations before you do the quest to see which ones you've already grabbed. Going to those locations might jog your memory, and if not you can just mark the locations of the ones you took already so it at least narrows it down.
You don't gotta worry about it for the quest. Don't worry I won't spoil you. Other than letting you know you will miss out on 3 ferrystones. Not that big of a deal. Can still progress the quest zero issues.
The time it would take for you to go looking around for it. Imo isn't worth the 30k that 3 ferry stones are. I ignored it and am glad I saved myself possibly over an hour maybe 2 hours. You could just progress the game instead and make over 30k in that time saved.
A really dick move by the devs there. Bad dev! Bad! Shoo!
Note, if you throw a pawn that looks like Gimli, he will auto kill you.
I wish they made an achievement for throwing a dwarf over a broken bridge
Lol he just won't let ya throw him no respectable dwarf would lol
Is this true? 😂
@@Good_Ol_Mr_Trollyea, because no one tosses a dwarf
@@swagdaddy8298 only the king of gondor can toss a dwarf
Also, you’ll get a quest to find a npc either Virgil or Dante (nice nod to devil may cry Capcom) take a picture of the one you’re supposed to find because they are very similar except for the shape of the scar and the hair is slightly different. 100% helpful
I brought the sphinx Dante 😢 and she flew off... I was at her second point too
@@jsavoni6478 I believe it’s a timed one, so you may have made her wait too long? Or if it was the last quest from her you were supposed to fight her at that moment
Jasper,Onyx and tiger eye treasures will sell alot more in either the desert, the elven village or the capital area. Tiger eye for elf, onyx for Capital and Jasper for desert.
Is 2k really the max it sells for ?
@@jeremiahwallace2962 As far as I know 1.9 is the universal selling price, maybe there might be a special use for them on different regions? Gifting them might be considered an expensive item?
Aint the gems used for upgrading something?
The gems tell you what region they are rare in. I have heard that they work better as gifts in those regions as well.
@@Darnival Yes, don't sell them, they're very rare and I know their description doesn't say anything about being used for upgrades, but I'm at a point where they're required for upgrading weapons and armor, good thing I didn't sell a single one because I knew they would come in handy.
Be careful on the Sphinx Riddle where you have to bring her a pawn with the name, SphinxParent. The riftstone you need to go to for that pawn had 3 different pawns with the same name. The first one I recruited prompted the Dragon’s Plague info log to appear, so I instantly released that pawn and grabbed one of the others.
That's because people are creating pawns with that name to mess with players. The parent, mother, or father will work as long as they are capcom's generated pawn. If it isn't, the sphinx won't accept it.
Best way I found around that was to disable network features to not allow other player pawns.
@@naser5545 I kinda thought that might have been the deal. But the pawn I did present to her didn’t have the capcom ID and she accepted it 🤷🏽♂️.
They actually don’t have to be Capcom official pawns they can literally just be named sphinxparent and as long as it’s spelled right it still registers properly, I tested this
Side note make sure you’re paying attention the riddle, there’s a chance instead of parent you’ll need to bring father or mother instead, could be why some people are failing for bringing non official SphinxParent pawns
Fall damage death - Taking the gondola in Battahl when a griffin crashes through it, breaking it and sending all of us to a very flat end.
Had a wakestone on me at that time but it took me by surprise
This happened to me and it was soo cool, I was with all my pawns in this gondola when I saw the griffin coming towards us, I knew it would break the gondola since the cart that takes you to different cities can break as well when you're ambushed. But I happened to be a trickster so I created a shadow, left it floaing in the air and use this skill that make enemies target the shadow and the griffin barely missed us. I was like OMG, then few days later with another class, happened again but of course we all died.
@@Tarmax94 the second is the charm lol
Oh that happened to you too eh? 😂
Carry extra pawn into battle for tougher fights lol. Golden Gem!! thx!! ✌️💯
The quest to find my first seeker token gave me heart palpitations😂 I looked up a map of all the seekers tokens near the northern borderwatch fully prepared to spend hours visiting every token location, but I got lucky and it was the first spot I checked. Had to take a couple hour break from the game to calm down, but honestly I’m just impressed the game could make me feel that way
22 hours in, and I never noticed the "Give Gift" button all greyed out in the lower right corner while you are speaking to people. SMH!
13:08 - Weapons in the next city is usually better. So when I went to Bakbahtal the first time, I bought new weapons, then 15 minutes later while outside the city, I opened a chest with those damned weapons that I just spent thousands to buy >_
Yeah. Stuff like that makes me not want to buy anything.
Where? I’m so tempted to buy something in the desert city
@@ASMWP next best weapons before endgame comes from volcanic island
Rip everyone who forgets where's the first token location just like me 🤦♂️
I'm regretting setting my main pawn up with Red Eyes
verry good tips the pawn stash is amazing i didn't even think of that
I randomly approached a pawn that was lvl 60 almost im lvl 20 and they where free, is this a glitch
Could be a friends pawn? They're free
@@Samtheman91 oh maybe I wasn’t looking at who on my stream even has the game
Bro actually cooked his party rotten meat at camp 💀
No food get left behind
I eat the rotten food! 😂
rotten food is very popular, look how many mcdonald's there are... hah.. i'm not bitter about the food poisoning at all.
There's a trophy/achievement for cooking every kind of meat (including rotten) in both night and day. Rotten food still gives you a small boost as well
The rotten meat cooking scene at camp, im stoked they added that in.😂
To get the house from Mildred I had to do a few of the main quests before she showed up. So if she’s not there when you first visit the town, just progress the main story a few and keep checking
I think in the new update they are going to allow that quest to be accessible earlier
Throwing the pawns at chests is actually hilarious 😂 I’ve been throwing them at mobs while yelling “WE NEED HELP!” Iykyk
You can also leave weapon enhancement items(aka items you loot from dead enemies) in your chest and you can still spend them at any merchant's shop. It saves you a lot of inventory space. I'm always dumping those items into my chest. Also pay attention to items you can make a forgery of. An example is the one use vault key, which you can forge a fake of and gift to npcs for 5 points towards your relationship with them.
Also remember when fighting a griffin if you pass a cyclops and throw a goblin at the feet it causes a cut scene animation of the cyclops stomping the goblin and the griffin eating the remains
This is pure gold!! Thank you!
Awesome vid!!! Thanks a LOT. I didn't realized several of these things.❤
Watching the video only to immediately realize I've been adventuring with an infected pawn 😂😭
Glad to see this game doing well even if it is not in my budget. Was a huge fan of the first Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen.
I love the pawn tips!! 🔥
hey, these are ACTUALLY some things i wish i knew before playing.. well done sir... well done.
So many actual great tips i didn't know, even 40+ hours in!! It's nice to have context to why my pawns randomly talk about some disease that makes pawns disobey. I thought it was just contextual exposition, like talking of the queen regent borkng battahlian visitors and stuff.
Dont worry about the dragonsplague geez, you cant miss it, dont stress about it, just you knowing about it is enough, your pawns will sometimes respond angsty towards you like a rebellious teenager and their eyes will pulsate glowing red, it becomes increasingly obvious the longer they have it, just send them off a riftstone or if its your main pawn throw them to the brine.
A timed quest asking you return to your first discovered token is a guaranteed way of ensuring most players don’t do it.
Excellent game design 😂
Thanks for this, really helpful!
Great tips 🤗 Thanks!
I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality of these tips 👏👏.Many I found myself through trial and error and some were new. Loved the kidnapping a pawn one 😂.
Excellent analysis 👍
my favourite tip was not actually one of the tips..
but in tip 19.
i had not been to the town of reach yet.. and now i know where it is, thanks!
Useful info. Thanks
Great video ty!
Well, sphinx will also accept a players pawn named SphinxMother or SphinxFather, not only capcom genereted ones. I used my friend's pawn and the sphinx stared into my soul then said "ah yes, that's the spirit, its the one j was looking for, its all in the name, you see".
So yeah players pawn works as well.
Best tip video I have seen yet for this game. 10/10
Super efficient tips. Thanks
Some great tips 🎉🎉
Using 2nd n 3rd pawns as a backpack then dismiss them with the stuff to go to my chest is a HUGE deal for me thank you so much for that tip
I only remembered where I found my first seeker’s token because I got flashbacks to the Riddler trophies and the scene was burned into my mind
That's awesome you made your character look like you in real life 😅, I was thinking of doing that but decided it would be too much work
Quick note on Mildred’s dwelling - it doesn’t count as an inn rest until AFTER you’ve bought it. I loaded a save at last inn bc of a tough fight I wasn’t ready for thinking it’d take me to the last sleep at her house… it did not
throwing any pawn down like hill (not to far or they'll die) then if u jump into them they will catch you. So no fall damage
If your pawns happen to act funny/dragon plague, you can toss every pawn in the water. Even if you wanted too be a good person, you can find dragon plague on pawns in the rift. Hire them & cure them by toss them in the water. ❤
The tip about dismissing a pawn to send items to stash works better on your main pawn while you are next to a rift stone. Sometimes you summoned specific pawns & want to keep them. Not every rift stone lets you resummon pawns but every rift stone summons your main pawn. SO, instead of giving the items to a random one, just give them to your main, toss them in the lake & then resummon then from the rift stone. Rift stones, are plentiful so there's always one close
Dude 😂 I thought I saw the elves cheeks blush! Great info 👍
Here’s a fix if you feel bad about the innocent npc that died. If you did the sphinx quest n got all rewards, you can you the eternal wake stone n rez everyone in the area but you have to position yourself right so it can revive everyone. Revived 162 people in a city n then had to reset cuz dragon attacked n killed people n when i did it form a different location 282 people was brought back
The scroll that teaches you elvish can be giving by ANY elf, not just the inn keeper. I had max affinity with the innkeeper and she never gave me the scroll. I decided to give flowers to one of the guards walking around, took me about 3 bunches of flowers, didnt even need to pass time on the 3rd one they just gifted me the scroll after i give them flowers.
You cannot use curatives when your health bar hits zero from fall damage found that out the hard way happened in two different dragon encounters
I can easily say your guide videos are one of the best ones out there. Super understandable well written and really useful. Have a small question tho. On the mini map there are some signs such as that one ! Or some crystal images I see time to time. What are those? Specifically that crystal thing and sometimes pawns are saying something like ‘ we might be looking chest here or something like that’ so does it mean there are actually chests on that area and I should be carefully looking around ? And one more question please. I almost never buy items in rpg games from towns cause most of the time you get better things from the boss’s or chests. Am I right here or should I spend my gold ? One tiny more I find very hard to gain gold ( level 14rn) any ideas how to farm golds ? Thank you for your time
Yes, ! Means there is something there. Could be a chest. Could be a ladder or a breakable wall. Also yes when your pawns say there is a chest nearby, quickly stop and use the Go! Command and your pawn will take you there. If it doesn't. Then you can explore around to find it. And yes Drsgons Dogma 2 does infact have some of the best items in the shops. There may be some weapons that are uniquely better at certain elements you can find. But in terms of raw damage. Shops have the best gear available. As well as armor not just weapons. And as he said. The farther you go to towns the better the gear. Typically the last area (volcano island, and Bakbatahll) have the best gear in the game. As well as another are you csn get to I believe when you beat the game. Not sure though haven't made it there.
Oh also yes gold gets much more plentiful as you progress. Vermund (the area around vernmont) has the least amount of gold in chests, scrap piles, less gold in gold pouches. And the farther you go the more gold you get. Even sidequests offer more gold in the farther areas. Also if you want to cheese the game there is a very good gold farming method but you need 2 port crystals (the self placed ones) so you can use ferry stones to do the gold farming method. Search up the video called "300k/h gold farm method dragons dogma 2" I believe it was posted yesterday.
@@SuperZakaruthank you for your time ^^
Thanks for the info! Can’t wait to start. As in right now!
there is plenty of special riftstones out along the roads, you can use those to dismiss your pawn with all your heavy stuff, go into the rift and hire a new one (might even be able to hire the same pawn back if you wanted), that way you get more choices.
you can use a wakestone, to revive fallen npcs (or yourself) so i would think, IF the person you are escorting dies you should be able to use the wakestone on them. (you can get plenty by doing low level pawn quests, or just buy them) but now i'm thinking, if they die, can you pick them up, carry the body to near the destination then use the wakestone on them, and finish escorting them???
i seriously was really confused about the camping equipment, i think i might have been attacked the very first time i camped, and that's it, after so many camps, i've never used up a camping kit, i even sold 5 or so of them because i found extras, i thought they never broke.. now i know why, i always clear the area first, i generally loot everything nearby even.
Great work thank you
Thank you too!
Pick up and throw a pawn. Brilliant!! Great video!
Very helpful
Awesome..thx soooo much. I gonna get the house first and stop drawing items single back to me before dismissing
Story Tip. SPOILER:
When you get the quest in Battahl to collect 15 of a certain dragon item, DO NOT turn them in to the quest giver until you have completed everything in the game you wanted to.
This quest is the *Point Of No Return* any left over quests or unfinished business will be locked off once you hand in the materials and unfinished quests will be marked as failed.
Yea i fought the dude early asf lol
Always load up a pawn your about to dismiss with items you want sent to your storage to lower carry weight and let do longer runs.
I like the idea of a 4th pawn ready to help in tonight fights. Thanks for that one!
Playing as a Thief,
hold the heavy attack to grab enemies easier for easily grab kills and smoke bomb is broken against any small or normal size humanoid enemies since they can't see you, any melee class will do the critical finishing move (heavy attacks) to any enemies inside or outside but blinded
Many of the Forgotten Riftstones will be named on the map after being discovered and have Pawns with a specific attribute, and it will tell you what that attribute is when you go inside it. Sometimes it's a magical vocation, sometimes it's a certain specialization, and sometimes it's huge... tracts of land.
Yes, there is a riftstone that has Pawns that breast quite boobily.
This content is exactly what I'm looking for in a "everything I wish i knew sooner". Thanks a lot :) btw, another thing you can add is to falsificate all the tomes for Trysha so you can complete both quests (originals to Trysha).
Good tip!
You can put items on pawns kick them out items go to stash yes but you don't need to hire a pawn on road just re hire the one you kicked out they will still be there
Rent pawns having items go to your storage? Super useful, i thought they'd vanish entirely when dismissing them, i'd manually put their drops in storage beforehand lol
i don’t sleep on towns, i bought the house but im always out on the road. i also tend to hire higher level pawns so i could stick with them for a few levels
Bro that was actually very helpful!!!
Glad to hear it!
2:03 if you can’t reach that ledge, unequip all your armor and then try jumping again. The weight of wearing the gear will shorten your jumping distance… which is weird cause if you unequip it IT remains in your inventory thus the weight of your character overall shouldn’t change…. But it works.
You could also become a mage, and at level 10 I believe you unlock the ability to levitate. Press A to jump, hold it and you should levitate. The longer you hold the slightly higher you will get. Very useful to reach a lot of locations or crossing bridges if you time it right
I wish I new before hand you can doze In the OX cart and then it fast travels you to the location 😮 I did not know this or notice it so I just sat there for 30 minutes think what a stupid design choice this was running is faster 😂
Also if you walk up to a pawn or npc you can use the vial you receive from the Sphinx to suck them into it and carry them around with you until you need them. Much better than carrying a pawn to a battle lol
That pawn kidnapping at the end is hilarious
I don't dismiss my pawns when they're sick. I take them out to the lake for a nice swimming lesson. It's always a good remedy.
when you buy a home in the game can you save the game there or do you have to save it at an inn
Also upgradable materials can be used atumatically when your saves time going back and forth
Ox cart post are better at passing the time than siting and dozing off.
Pro tip, if you don’t want to buy a house or rest at an inn to skip time for a boss to respawn or whatever, you can wait for an ox cart repeatedly and each time you wait it passes a full in game day.
This isbloterally the best video I coukd ever watched on this game. I have literally never fully died in this game. I had 20+ health potions and lets just say I technically died 5 times to my first chimera 😅.
But omg, as a short archer, every 5 minutes im heavy, to the point where I learned how to play as a heavy archer. Its nice to find a way to send stuff to my stash remotely
*is literally +other typos
I can't type I swear 🤦🏿♀️
Omg upgrading equipment with stash items is something I with I knew 30 hours ago. That's legit huge
Nice, I really like the last one 😂 👍
I wish I knew that "Dismiss" option with pawns automatically transferred all the items they're holding back to you. The first pawn I replaced took everything with them, so every time I find a new one I like better in a Rift Stone, I have to leave the Rift, get all their stuff, then go back into the Rift Stone. Problem there is, that Pawn you wanted may not be there anymore. (Even if you added them as a favorite, you can't access favorites from just any Rift Stone) So that tip will really save some time.
Get your trickster to level two and you unlock a perk called detection that makes it a lot easier to find seeker tokens and wakestones, the seeker tokens will have an audible bing that gets more constant as you get closer and they flash so you can actually find them rather than just randomly stumble across them
Sorcerer pawns can levitate themselves to out of reach chests if you look in that direction and hit go
Pawn specializations are not stored like vocations. I thought that was how they worked so I churigeon and then logistian, thinking that I could change them in the menu some where. Nope logistian overwrote churigeon. So if I want churigeon again I have to find another specialization scroll. If one exists.
I don't know why those scrolls don't just add to a library.
There’s another I would add. When activating rifts in the wild, stand atop the stone instead of activating it head on, that way you get a much higher level random pawn for free without spending any RC.
aaaah nice! pick up a pawn before fight is brilliant :D
Also don’t Stray too close to high cliffs. Although you can navigate around, Your pawns may slip and fall. Take caution with cliffs.
You can throw your main pawn off a cliff and then when they get up jump and they'll catch you preventing fall death..
Just throw a pawn at it….. lol
