Eq2 was an amazing game..just at release you needed a very high end pc to play it. The graphics for that game at 2004 is still better then most games to this day.

Nah I hope LOTR flops and crashes hard. AGS took the high potential, original title that New world had and basically used it as a beta for LOTR. Now they chose to ad TAB target in New world and that alone will finally kill it. And honestly... whoever thinks that LOTR will be good is like going back to a toxic relationship thinking it would be different. Who's to say LOTR won't be abandoned and mishandled like New world has?? They'll likely abandon it and focus on something newwhen it starts to flop because of horrible decisions. The only saving grace is that There's a ton of source material from LOTR, so there's no excuse for lack of content when they just have to adapt it to the game instead of creating it from scratch, but it's still AGS😂
Funcom and Dune... I am... interested? I mean I enjoyed the original version of The Secret World, and I like Conan Exiles, but overall Funcom seems to always end up kind of mid on everything they do, and Dune deserves more than that.

Every mmo has its own player base. Warhammer overtaking wow I don't think so. While I do like warhammer more I don't think they should be even thinking about overthrowing wow. And I think it's gonna be a flop because it should be an rvr mmorpg not a pve. Warhammer focuses heavily on battles and it should be it's main focus to take the crown as best rvr mmorpg and not pve. Every time I hear NCSoft in an upcoming MMO title, I cringe while sadly recalling Tabula Rasa and how much fun I had with that for the limited time it was alive. Or Wildstar, and all the fun I had with that one, even after it lost a huge part of its player base. But there are a few good memories too, like Aion (when it first released), but the good never overpowers the memories of Tabula Rasa and Wildstar. :(
I don't think another MMO aside from FFXIV for a long time. For one, we're not finished at all, the other thing is, we need cross platform, since we are 3 people playing on PC, PS5 and Xbox. Then there is the thing with my pile of Shane growing, while I sink another 1500 hours into the game😂 I still love watching these videos and specifically yours, they are the best I've seen😊 This time i heard two things i love to hear for one someone finally realizing, that you need to do something completely different, because it is easier to get a new canvas, than to grab them off of the Titans if the gerne. The other thing is the level scaling, the only time that worked was something like Pokemon imo . Glad you feel the same. In any case, great video , I'll go and watch some more❤

I think the thing that hurts new mmos the most, is most fans of mmos are already established in their games, and it would take a lot for them to switch.
WoW was so ahead of it's time at release, it was THE GAME. The only way WoW will be overtaken is when another game comes out far ahead of it's time. Nowadays, developers and investors are too numbers/profit hungry to develop another game like that unfortunately. GTA6 is the only upcoming game i can think of that they will not allow budget to be a boundary for development and it will likely be ahead of it's time 🤞

There is probably more but I am really enjoying it and it seems that is the general consensus of experienced players as well

The story is trash, every major character and villain is trash, every aspect of the story is superficial and some losers idea of "so important in a modern space", there is no strong moral or instinctual drive to the narrative to pull at your attention, everybody constantly whines and complains about their feelings (except the strong female heroes and strong female villains, which is all of them, women aren't allowed to be weak or incorrect in blizzard writing), you get quests to fetch mugs of ale for the strong girl bosses who can't be bothered to stand up or reach over, literally everything about the narrative is lame and boring. I never, not once, looked at a single quest/set piece/cinematic and thought "wow, that's so cool." It is garbage. Clearly and unequivocally, in every possible measurement a game can be compared against. It just so happens to be the best garbage available in the genre.

Horizon Online broke it for me. People need to stop turning single player games into MMO's. I feel like it ruins the franchise more times than not. Final Fantasy is a bit of an odd goose, since we have 2 Online games that actually are phenomenal. However, they didn't do it after 2-4 games. They did it after over a dozen FF titles, including spinoff titles like Crystal Chronicles for the GC. They had more than enough of a fan base and more than enough money to make a good online game.
@@Chr1s-fm6bi WoW has also been around for almost 2 decades now. Video game wise, it's their first. However WoW was always a multi-player game even if in a board game form. Like Dungeons and Dragon's did. However they both have prior experience in multi-player games. ESO and Fallout started as single player games, and we all know how Bethesda kinda flunked the two. I don't personally think they're ready for Horizon Online yet. That could just be me though. It's too new of a title and I don't think it has the fanbase to make an online game flourish.
