There is a 'Wait for Ox cart' sign post next to the bench in the ox cart area. Automatically sets time to ox cart arrival time.

Apparrently the Thief Vocation has an abillity called plunder that u can use on the ghostly clouds at night to steal from them Ferrystones. That solves the problem with the ferrystones. You can also Plunder wakestones like this from different enemies, so you better level up the Thief Vocation and good Plunder :D.

My pawn has never caught me or anything. There must be something I have to do for him to do these things.

i was looking at a chest on a high ledge in a saurian cave and a summoned pawn used their shield to boost me up. The game is so good and im convinced anyone hating on it either hasnt played it yet or just doesnt like RPG games.
@michaelstrong8841 yeah most of the hate comes from people who can't afford the game . So they shit on it try and spoil it for the rest of us . Yes fps can definitely be better and I'd prefer more accessible fast travel . But on the whole the game is amazing I'm really enjoying it

As someone who plays more games than any TH-camr… this game is one of those that will be a staple in the industry. It’s amazing with great bones! If and big if, they keep up with it.
Pretty sure the game pulls enhancement material from storage. I never carry it around on me and can still always upgrade when needed.
It does, store all your enhancement materials in storage and you can also store a lot of the items used for crafting potions and the like. Only keep a few on hand to save weight, and you will always find more on the field👍

This game is amazing, and I never even heard of Dragons Dogma until a month ago. I thought not fast traveling would be a pain, but I've been finding shortcuts and cave networks that make traveling faster. I finally got the ancestral chamber path open and can get to Melve from there or vice versa to reach the elves faster

quick tips i havent seen anyone say " If youre on the road and heavy pass everything to a pawn you rented , dismiss them so your stuff goes to the storage and then reinvite them before they walk away". It might be a bug thought so it could get patched.
Edit: so i tried this, and it doesn't work. if you try to rehire the pawn before they walk away they say "i can't rejoin you yet" but you could dismiss them and hire a pawn walking the roads to receive a similar outcome
It’s not a bug, that’s an intended mechanic👍 always pass items to pawns, especially fighters/warriors since they can naturally carry more than others.
@eddyram4932 you misunderstood what he's saying. You can dismiss a pawn, gear gets sent to storage, re hire them before they walk away.

If you go up to the sign near the ox cart you can choose to wait for it instead of sitting on the bench and keep trying.
It's also important to know you can run into ox carts along your travels and jump on it mid way. I took the one to Melve but couldn't find a way back to Vernworth since there's no oxcart station in Melve (so basically a one way ride) but during my voyage I ran into one and took it the rest of the way.
Been playing nonstop all weekend love this game so much. Can’t wait to explore a bit more before finishing story and doing ng+
For people considering classes, I have to say that rogue is actually busted. Two rings of might, a mage with an elemental endowment, a good set of daggers and the rogue meister skill are all you need. You will literally never get hit if you balance your stamina and you will do a carp ton of damage. You have a counter/assassinate, a disengage, an engage - frankly, it’s broken.
I love this game so much. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this immersed in a world.

Pro tip from dragons dogma 1 just PUT ALL enhancement materials in your stash at the inn. The game auto pulls them from storage when you upgrade equipment

(Tip for camping) If you kill all surrounding enemies before sleeping, you’re less likely of getting attacked. You can also repack your camping kit by walking out of the radius.

My character is a 6ft 8inch 300 pound slaying machine but I accidentally fell down a considerable height and thought for sure I was dead but one of my hired pawns a 5ft tall sexy female thief caught me at last second and holding me close like a baby god I love this game😂

I loved the 'M Bison'' CAPCOM pawn, she's so unbelievably cheery. I'm currently a Warrior, so don't need her for the moment, but as soon as I need one, I'll hire her again at a higher level

The pawns that generally get hired most often are pawns that have quest guide (meaning the owner has completed the quest your doing) & the pawns that have pawn quests (for example, many offer 10k gold for killing an ogre or griffin). If you have the gold or an abundance of nice items, use them as pawn quest rewards & watch your pawn usage shoot up.
Ghost enemies at night can also drop RC
So if you need to farm some grab a magic weapon and run around the starter kingdom at night

regarding the pawn levels, if you really like one you can "favourite the pawn" then search for favourited pawns to see what level they are at. For instance, I hired a really good pawn at lvl 10, got me to almost level 20, came back at 35 a few days later and they were level 40 (i guess, whoever created him plays more than i do) and it was WELL worth the RC investment to rehire them.

The fast travel cart you fail to mention you will get attacked by a ton of monsters but love that feature has three wearwolfs in a row and last one killed the damn ox lol so had to walk the rest

A tip for party. If you are a mystic spear or just don't want epileptic lights swap a mage for a fighter, take a archer and warrior. You will do mage stuff. but if the pawns have the cure special ability they can use potions on you and others. Mix that with logistican and you start using potions and magic only comes from you
Oh I'm at loss Guage section, you can also use an all heal to fully restore you're entire hp bar. Although they seem way more rare than ferrystones until late game, then there's an npc in the elves village that sells one. Resting a few days can respawn it, same with the ferrystones.
Amazing video though fr man wish I seen this when I first started. Totally didn't know that npcs that die go to the closest morge. RiP🤣🤣🤣
A heads up. The oxcart. There is a sign right next to the bench that you rested on and you can choose to wait til next oxcart trip. It will skip automatically to the next morning. You can also use that to pass days of time in a few seconds.

I have a warrior, thief and my main pawn is a sorcerer, and I’m a magick archer. Honestly works so good because I use remedy shot and that heals for so much
Regarding ox carts - 1) they have signs next to them that will let you wait until the next one is leaving and 2) they can be attacked even when you doze off, so if you arent careful when theyre attacked you can lose your cart and have to walk the rest of the way

When I used an oxcart for the quest to deliver the note, I was attacked by a cyclops followed by a minotaur, it was rough 🤣🤣
Dont forget to favourite Pawns you liked, so when they level up you can hire them again in the future. Likely the Main whos pawn it is has kept them working quite well.

I'm hearing if you want to play as M.Archer, It's best to choose a Mage at the start as the maigic star will carry over or is dependent on what weapons and armour you have equipped?

There’s no need to do that in this game. That was a thing in the first game. They changed it in this game to where you are able to level any class at any point and switch without too much of a stat difference because most of your stats come from equipment. Just play what you want to play and don’t worry about min-maxing. If you enjoy playing things you don’t like, by all means do so, but just know you do not need to at all.
Idk if he mention, didn’t see the full video but if u get ur friends pawn. They’re free no matter what level is it. I’m level 25 and I got my friend pawn in my party that is level 45

39:12 be careful with this one. You still need to take precaution bc running out of potions isn't the only reason you can fully die. If you get hit hard enough by an enemy it can and will fully kill you regardless if you have potions or not. So still be very careful.

18:47 Instead of going to the bench to wait for the ox cart just go to the sign with the bell next to the ox cart click on that and it will take you to the next time the ox cart is ready I also use this speed up time til morning so a day and it’s free hope I helped and saved y’all some time
Made it through the whole video, but I've read here and there that npcs will respawn in a week or two (at least important ones do, as well as bridges, and enemies. I can't confirm as I haven't played the game. Also dungeons/caves you've cleared early-game repopulate with stronger enemies when you get further into the game from what I heard.
In battle I jumped on an ogres back and he leapt to a building as I dangled off him. Never seen a game with interactive wall clings that then put me to cling off this beast hair. So fucking epic!
Does your Pawn learn about quests from your playthrough? I have a "borrowed" pawn that seems to know every quest and I'm wondering if my pawn will do the same for other players because I am completing these quests and they are now knowledge on said quest?

Crafting armor upgrades will pull directly from your storage at the inn, don't have to have items on you.
Oh maaan i had no clue there was a cart to check point rest town at vernworth.. i spent about 12 hours in real time over 3-4 days running around the map trying to find it. Came back to vernworth after getting tired of a pawn saying follow me to return the sword and staff to the vocation master dude. We got back near the bridge and an ogre popped out that killed me in 2 hits and destroyed my entire party. I was spamming follow me like crazy. It was a 5 minute battle with a God Ogre and for some reason an endless stream of goblins, wolves and saurians. One of the saurians was actually unkillable too. His health went down half way and then never went any further. Not sure if it was a bug or if anyone else encountered this near vernworth bridge? It exploded the ox cart walking by in 1 hit. I fought at least a dozen ogres but this one was as strong as the main dragon. I barely got my pawns back and finally ran away after using 15 health potions while on my way to the dirt
one correction: the brine wont kill you, itll just drench you and put uou back on dry land

This game is awesome and hard to stop playing which is weird because i have quite a list of complaints and things that drive me nuts 😂, mainly pop in, camera zooming too close and othwr camera issues, and some framerate drops a few times that reminded me of Lords of the Fallen lol....
