Man I gotta say out of all the monster hunter TH-camrs this tutorial video is the best I’ve ever seen, other TH-camrs just go over the moves, or others are just speed runners and are doing everything perfectly but u showing the progression of learning how to use it and really explaining the nuances of the move, makes your content very unique. Keep up the good work man
Really enjoyed this series! I picked up GS's Backslide from your earlier vid, and now I'm getting the urge to try out Charge Blade again watching this. If you ever want to continue this series and also happen to dabble with Insect Glaive, I'm sure IG has a couple switch skills that don't nearly get enough attention despite how open-ended the weapon is (Kinsect Glide comes to mind)
Great explanation. I'm still not convinced to ditch CPP, but I'm gonna add this to my second scroll to have a play around. I'll probably revisit this later if/when I get bored of my main set up.

Amazingly well explained , thank you as I've been playing charge blade since I started MH:Rise and having recently got into sunbreak the in game description for ready stance just left too much to the imagination. This video covers the skill so well and shown me so much to improve my own style of CB moves, thank you Lyeoj. May your hunts be blessed with mantle drops friend
Very good video! I've made a few small videos on Ready Stance since the showcase. One of them includes the ability to chain directly from Ready Stance into a Guard Point in order to get the CMS buff
Not gonna lie, you had me in the first half. I was thinking like "sure it's like a quicker version of Peak Performance, but what would this do me any good? Axe Hopper would be a better option for the 2nd switch slot" Then you brought the chainsaw spam. I was sold. I was like, okay I'll immediately swap Axe Hopper now LOL. Nice review!
this is one of the silkbind attacks i really hope returns in some form in wilds. having a way to quickly block is so important for combat to keep a good flow and it makes css so much more usable. edit: also unlike cpp it doesn't bypass the entire gameplay loop of the weapon.
You'd probably want to run artillery for the condensed slash/firing pin combo eh? Since I have a weakness exploit talisman, thinking about substituting onmyo greaves for bazelgeuse ones. Might I ask why you choose ice as an element in particular? Wondering if no element might be better for the firing pin playstyle.
Yeah, it's highly possible impact phials would be really cool with firing pin! I simply just kept my previous build to show that it was still pretty viable without having to make a whole new set! And for elements, I just swap blades to go with monster weaknesses. I had the ice one out for the thumbnail and most of the demoing because I think it looks cool!
i hate animation locks this skill is meant for me, allows me to be more careless, Loading shells causes me not to use CPP at all, i prefer advancing morph zipping around popping SAED like a mad lad. looking forward to sunbreak release.
I find it really annoying what theyve done to charge blade. Just make condensed spinning slash a timer like condensed energy blade and then all woes are handled. It's annoying that we have to know all these little combo paths to keep spinning slash. Honestly they shouldve just added savage axe and made the switch skill for condensed spinning slash something different. Also why is the phial follow up a switch skill??? Its useless in a condensed spinning slash build??? Honestly the mobile team has butchered charge blade every release for some reason, looking at generations too after 4U, absolutely abysmal.

You know, if there's any weapon I don't think I've properly played in Rise it's probably IG! Perhaps some experimenting is in order!

Oh man.. a 28 minute video for one single skill? And people are trying to convince me that CB isn't complicated..

@@lyeoj do those firing pin explosions scale with elemental damage or artillery you think? Or both? I'm clueless hah.
@@Ditronus. So I'm 90% sure artillery only scales impact phials, and yeah elemental damage definitely scales element phials!

I started a new character SPECIFICALLY for Charge Blade Savage Axe and Ready Stance with EE 3. I became untouchable once I got the hang of it!
Hey, I hope I'll have an answer, to have Ready Stance you have to buy the Sunbreak dlc? Or can you unlock them in the normal game
You receive the skill during the Sunbreak campaign so yes you must purchase the expansion to get it!
