I've been trying to get into charge blade and man, it's rough. Every time I fight a monster it stays pretty far away, rarely stands on top of me so I can hit them with the axe spin. I'm constantly getting knocked down, losing the axe. I mained the hammer for my first 50 hours, and it was so strong, and so simple.

Can you try a poison build in Sunbreak? Any monster but I believe Daimyo and base non Risen Shagaru are the weakest to poison in Sunbreak. Any weapon but I believe Switch Axe, Long Sword and Chainsaw CB are the best at applying poison.
World's weakest poison monster is Safi and I don't hate you enough to make you do that.
