small correction i noticed that could actually be pretty neat for getting some quick rage slashes, there actually is a way you can sorta-quickly get to a charge to use strongarm stance, albiet taking a bit more effort than normal you can do guard -> kick -> guard tackle -> charge -> strongarm, while still a bit slow it is MUCH faster than going through the entire surge slash combo if you have a ~1-2 second notice before an attack comes out, and can be done even faster with regular tackle if thats what your running
22:00 generelly the optimal way of building damage for most weapon types is to get to 100% affinity and boost that with crit boost. Other skills like attack boost and agitator can then be added if there is still space. For elemental weapons there are other skills that are also essential. For greatsword charged playstyle the best weapons are currently the amatsu gs (inherent silkbind boost) or the lucent gs (with the build up boost skill). For surge slash elemental weapons are considered stronger. Also the frostcraft skill and offensive guard are huge boosts for the charged playstyle.
