If you have a lord on forced march stance and you're worried about getting attacked, you can replace the lord with a new lord and that lord will be able to change stance back to normal. If you have a vassal that you want to keep out of a war, potentially because the vassal is symbiotic to your faction, you can join war against a faction instead of declaring war against them. This will mean only your faction declares war while allies and vassals are kept out of it. Even more amusing, the AI cannot declare war on vassals and if you sell captured settlements to your vassal that isn't at war with the enemy...
@@Monochromatic_Spider both of these are amazing tips. Thanks for mentioning them, I frequently use both of these. Playing on legendary diff makes you think of new ways to get yourself out of messy situations(where you can’t just reload save files) I might do a part 2 to this video, as I had to leave some good tips and exploits out.
Favourite tip for NOT new players: use mods! Map mods, item merge mods, trait limit increase mod… as long as any mechanic/addition to the game is needed - there is a chance some bright minds in modding community have fixed it already.
Regarding the first point, the mod "Increase (removes) characters traits limit", increases the trait limit to 999. So you don't have to worry about that, if you don't like.
The restocking ammo also works with artillery units for anyone wondering, drop the equipment and restock and return with a rocket in your pocket... or bolts / cannonballs I guess?
Yeah you can do the Ammo cheese with any artillery unit that can get their crew off their equipment. So units like steam tanks or sky lanterns are not gonna be able to restock their ammo using this cheese.
@@julianlau4293Right click enemy army and right before yours reaches theirs press backspace to stop your army and if you do it right they will be inside your red circle so they're stuck or forced to fight
Restoring ammo on barricades carried my dwarf campaign so hard. Getting like 5k value on the garrisons miners with granades or ironbreakers is so busted.
It might also be good to mention on how to steal heroes from allied factions via killing them in battle (but not wiping out the entire army) the easiest to do this with is casters as long as you have a lot of winds of magic because of the overcast chance :D

@@pzatotalwarwell there is a way to steal lords of allied factions aswell (you probably know how it works), the entire ally army has to die through attrition in the same turn, giving some interesting interactions ^^ (stealing a bretonnian lord with another faction and killing Louen for example to get his trait for cheaper cav recruitment, so you can load up a character that has beaten him for cheaper recruitment for future bretonnia campaigns)
You can win most all sieges in the game when you play as a strong missile faction against low/non-missile armies. It is really handy in early games, like Elspeth vs Vlad where artillery destroys towers. Your missile infantry shoot enemy through the gates or hole and if you have upgraded nuln armory and restock skill on horse riders, you can easily win sieges against any army with 2 art 3 infantry, 3 horse arches and any small entity lord.towers. They are much easier than field battles and a great way to exp your units.
About the Siege stealing: It also works between Greenskins/Dwarfs and HElves/Delves because Grudgethrowers/Rock Lobbers and Eagle Claw/Reapers are technically the same machine.
You can basically do this with any artillery that has artillery crew that can dismount can dismount. Any artillery that doesn’t have dismountable crew cannot be stollen.
Well sometimes when Legendary lords have bad defeat traits it's completely fine to fight and finish them and their faction off. Honestly as long as I get the good defeat traits on Skarbrand I'm going to be Gucci!
@@lewis......... appreciate it brother, means a lot. I’m currently working on a banger video at the moment. I have already covered the Necrofex colossus doomstack on the stream, I might make a video on them in the future though.
Is there some bug at the moment regarding ambushes? I've played 3 campaigns in a row recently, and most of the time my armies are in ambush stance, often 150 to 200 turns long and I haven't pulled off a single ambush across these 3 campaigns
I've been successfully ambushing enemies with different races like Kislev, Wood Elves and Skaven recently. Check the ambush success chance in the tile(of the campaign map) you are trying to pull off the ambush. The armies you are trying to ambush might have ambush defence chance(with skills and followers) which might help them avoid your ambushes. Enemy heroes around your armies could also discover your ambushes over the end turn, Enemies either would avoid you after discovering you or come for you straight away.
Both are important but in my books higher melee defence is better because it gives you higher chance of blocking enemy attacks therefore taking less damage which means you can be in combat for longer period of time, dishing out more damage.
Wauw thanks for this!!! Can you further explain in detail what do you mean with point 3.? At 3:51 I didn't understand what you mean... Can you explain it better
Np dude. As for point 3: each faction armies give them strength ranking and the stronger a faction is(as long as they are of same race), the harder it is for you to confederate them. You can wait for them to lose their armies or if you are their military ally barrow their armies and get them killed cause in either situation, they will lose balance of power and they will be more open to getting confederated by you. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions please let me know
