Ethiopia (Tizita) 0:00 - Ancient Era 2:59 - Medieval Era (with Bati) 7:54 - Industrial Era 12:11 - Atomic Era About these Pieces: Tizita (as well as Bati) are both genres of music found in Ethiopia and Eritrea. Tizita means "memory", "longing" or "nostalgia" and is most often compared to American Blues or Portuguese Saudade due to the style's sad lyrics. The term "Tizita" might also refer to a scale / mode (a scale is the set of notes that are primarily used in any piece at any point in the piece's duration) used mainly in Ethiopian music. The style of Tizita was introduced by "Azmaris", comparable to European bards. These instrumentalists, either male or female, would often skilfully improvise vocal passages, accompanying themselves with a one stringed fiddle known as a "masenqo", or a lyre known as "krar", which can be heard most prominently at the beginning of the Industrial/Atomic eras. Like bards, they would often perform in places serving mead, or "tejbeit", with "tej" meaning mead. On the other hand, the name for Bati comes from the name of the region (or in Amharic, "woreda") from which it comes from, the Bati region. LIke Tizita, Bati can also refer to a scale, and is in fact one of the four important scales (or "kignits") that make up Ethiopian music along with Tizita, Ambassel and Anchihoye. Iceland got lampshaded a bit, with Norway claiming some of their cities, same with Sweden claiming Finland’s cities... which is a bit understandable to not overload the game with Nordics...but the one that absolutely baffles me is that Denmark is completely unrepresented at all
@@sweetbrown89 it was only until 1262 that they came under Norwegian and later Danish rulership, but it was a fully independent country from the beginning of the 8th century. It was led by a parliament (the althing), which consisted of the most powerful clan leaders on the island. The parliament is probably the oldest still surviving parliament in the world, which was then led by a chieftain/lawspeaker. The country has a distinct language, strong culture and a wide variety of traditional folk music, so for those reasons I think it has quite some potential to become a civ. But after all, there are plenty of Mediterranean civs in the game, so I don't get why there shouldn't be more than two Nordic civs in the game

I’m honestly speechless of the developers don’t at least add some of what you wrote into the game ima be disappointed
If not of
there was a bit of a missed opportunity in the Industrial and Atomic Eras since modern Ethiopian music (from what I found) is a lot of autotune singers with a few synthetic instruments and a few traditional instruments playing at the same time
U should dig deeper and also amahric is not the only language in Ethiopia there are other languages with great music like tigrinya, harari i highly recommend them
Fantastic as always.
The moment when you found yourself that they've never got it...
Damn incredible as always. Industrial one is my fav :3 too bad the vocals don't carry over, was hoping to see how it integrates with the orchestra.
Very interesting composition
It's so beautiful I love this theme.
Ethiopians are Hamites, their music is so interesting.
Mix between Hamite and Samite perhaps, at least for the Amharics.
Melodious and rhythmic!
@@kasikasivendjinn5345 amharas are not the only semities there are about 7-8 others
Not bad, but kinda miss the CIv 5 theme for Ethiopia
I'm captured by the history of these people!
ETIOPIA FOREVER!!!!!!
Please upload this on Spotify :(
Quite sad you didnt include any of the sounds of Teddy Afro's music for the atomic era but it's good nonetheless
teddy afro doesn't belong in a game like this about Ethiopian civilization in the same way Adele doesn't belong in a game about British civilization.
Ahh, the beautiful sounds of asking Menelik to stop sending apostles to my capital.
Beautiful!
Can you bring Portugal to civ 6 pleaseee
Yes, Ethiopia Forever!!!!
5:13 bati start.
Finally some ingame true theme of Ethiopia, Love that❤️👍 but sad no begena
This is great!
Is Getachew Mekuria, the vocalist and washint-player, related to the jazz saxophonist with the same name?
That Atomic Era swell tho
5:14 don’t mind me just leaving a timestamp
I don't know what he's saying... but I know it's amazing :))
ETHIOPIA! 💪🏾🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
Ezim tegenagnen lol🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
The best soundtrack in Civilization!!!
OMGGGGGGGGG YESSSSSSS
I think it'd be cool to see Iceland as a civ
Iceland got lampshaded a bit, with Norway claiming some of their cities, same with Sweden claiming Finland’s cities... which is a bit understandable to not overload the game with Nordics...but the one that absolutely baffles me is that Denmark is completely unrepresented at all
@@sweetbrown89 denmark was in civ 5 tho
Ian Witte TSL crowding
Keegan Moonshine yes...but we’re talking Civ VI...
I really enjoy the country of wales so please add this in this great game.
please add
Music :)
5:15 hooh
My favorite of all.
Sounds kinda groovy.
F for Peaches Lamb
It's obvious he won't get the songs until the game's DLC is released... You cannot compete against the official game's account
i have a question for all civ fans: what is the best CIV 6 song?(also name the era).
Too many incredible ones: Atomic Japan, Industrial China, Industrial Brazil, Industrial Kongo, Industrial Russia, Industrial Australia, Industrial Persia, Atomic Macedon, Industrial Cree, Industrial Scotland, Industrial Canada, Atomic Sweden, Atomic Ottomans, Industrial Maya, Atomic Gran Colombia...
Medieval Greece or industrial Poland, I’m a simple man
I don't know the era but, waltzing matilda for australia
Ethan Griffis That would be all the eras. :p
Industrial Zulu is the best hands down.
man u should give us lyrics and translation too
