Hello! We're the performers from the video, and our experience performing the 'CIVILIZATION VI Soundtrack' in Korea was truly unforgettable! We would absolutely love the opportunity to perform the Civilization Theme music again. You can find more videos of us performing various game music with an orchestra on our channel. Collaborating on making the stages of a game I used to play all night during my childhood brought me immense joy. Given the opportunity, I would love to be part of future Civilization performances!

@@ygorgomes5202We had a different composer and music direction in Civ V and to this day I think sound design in that game was horrible, from general sound design to music. So i disagree, I'd rather have the same style as Civ 6 than to witness another horrible try at being unique as Civ V did.
In fact, the instrument used in the Japanese theme song is called the "gayageum" from Korea. To express a wider range of scales, the "25-string gayageum" was used.
I thought I heard somewhere once that Australian Aborigines regard it as offensive for a non-Aborigine to play a digeridoo. I actually have never played Civilization. This video came in my recommendation list while I was listening to Genshin's symphonies and tried it out of curiosity. Clicked on India's theme out of curiosity too. As it turns out, curiosity sometimes saves the cat too. I was completely flabbergasted listening to this rendition of Vaishnav Jan to. For those who don't know, it is often cited as Mahatma Gandhi's favorite song. The song has beautiful meaning, teaching of how god's true children are those who have kindness and empathy. But the song has such deep connect to Indian freedom struggle as well, and I cannot believe the game OST respected that. I may have teared up a little, but that is all on me. Thank you, Civilization team and Flasic, for this rendition. I will definitely hear this in game as soon as possible too.
57:42 It has been one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard, somehow I can feel the music in my chest. Every time I listen to this part it's like the first time I did it, like a poem you want to read twice.
This is all so beautiful. How many of the original artists do you think ever thought of how far their work would go? How many of them, who wrote in royal or imperial courts, on the battlefield, or in the countryside, could even imagine that one day, their song would become a beautiful piece of art used to represent their country, their civilisation, their legacy? Congratulations to the wonderful musicians in this orchestra, and to everyone working on Sid Meier's civilization. You are doing a wonderful job, and these original musicians would be proud.
Also the theme is based on an actual musical piece, the epitaph of seikilos, the oldest written music partition ever found ! I had never realized before :)
Thank you for including the ottoman theme. you should really listen 28:06 and I thank the artists very much for their hard work and pronunciation. this song is called "yelkenler biçilecek" and tells young Turkish people that they should take Fatih as an example about what they can do. I am a Turk and I congratulate and thank you for these magnificent works. The music attributed to the Ottomans is essentially a combination of two different melodies. The first melody you play is called "Ey Büt-i Nev Eda Olmuşum Müptela" by Dede Efendi and the next melody you play is "Yelkenler Biçilecek", one of the pieces of Ottoman military bands. Unfortunately, the first melody is not very well known in our country. Maybe it's because it has never been performed in such a wonderful way before.
Holy cow. I've often fantasized about a symphony concert of the music from this game. And I guess someone had the same idea. Very happy this exists. Will be watching later tonight. Thank you to whoever put this together. ❤️
Wow! You performed Russian theme wonderfully! I am Russian, and I know how is our language difficult for foreigners. I expected an accent, but never heard it! Спасибо! Это великолепно!

the worth of a culture is not measured by its accomplishment but how those accomplishments last and how they are remembered. The beauty that you have inspired our people to create will ensure that our culture stands for all time
Wow. The Ottoman score was so well played and sung. The ones before had flaws and weaknesses in tempo and tuning of the volume of the different groups of instruments. The Ottoman score on the other hand was perfect.

It's everything our Civilization needs: beauty, softness, lovingness. That's what this work of art woven with the Korean soul conveys to me. Congratulations and lots of hugs. Here, talking and enjoying directly from Brazil. This piece of art is going to be eternalized
Oh, this is so wonderful, I can't help but cry! The last two pieces were just 😙👌my favourites. Bravissima for the first flute, she's done a heavy lifting on this. I really hope there's a world tour on this, in many countries with their own orchestra. maybe someday we'll hear the theme of Gran Colombia, that piece is so powerful and full of juicy solos.
As a loyal fan of the Osman (never "Ottoman!" :( ) Empire, its theme in Civ 6 is exceptionally well made. Whenever I hear the song, I recall its tolerance, advanced systems (such as Millet and Devshirme), and glory even before I notice.
I wanted to play this as background music while working. Instead, ended up watching the entire performance. I'm speechless! If only there could be more of these live symphonies...
Interesting how they chose to finish up with the Korean theme, but I'm not surprised since the performance is in Korea itself and this is as I read a very familiar Korean folk song. I bet it must be really exhausting to play for almost 2 hours straight. I enjoyed and re-lived the excitement of listening to all the nations in CIV VI, it was wonderful.
Looking, and listening, to the orchestra, I'm struck by how young the musicians are yet they play on a very mature, skilled level. I love the music you play and it has enriched my life. Thank you.
The main melody is actually derived from an old melody (whose origins are still being debated) that has spread through many countries in the middle east. Probably the most known version of it is "Fel Shara" by Klezroym. It's my first time hearing this melody in Civ VI, and right away I thought it sounded familiar. Took me awhile to remember the song since it's been years since I heard it last. But if you liked "Arabia" definitely go listen to "Fel Shara". :)
It was all beautiful.. we truly live in amazing world. We should treat each other better just think about the things we could achieve together if we stopped worrying about each other.

AMAZING! I'm so touched that music and CIVILIZATION make different people from different civilizaiton together! Love from Chengdu, China! ❤
Love this. Hope they make it through the rest of the countries' themes in more concerts.
America and Spain were absolutely incredible. Godspeed and god bless all of you. Truly magnificent performance.
I firmly believe Civ VI's choice of songs are among the best. I even saved it on Spotify. America's "Hard Times Come Again No More" is just perfect.
Whoa Russia was intense! Wish they had included Germany and Hungary. Love those themes as well!
I legitimately cried, very well done!
it was a very rainy day at home, indeed
Same here.
As someone who loves the soundtrack of civ six, it was a pleasure to watch this done live. Very talented conductor and performers 👏👏
Dear maestra Sol!! It was awesome! many thanks to amazing conductor Sol Chin who directed this whole fascinating concert in korea! what a concert! keep making tours, please 🙏
I clapped for this unbelievable amazing performance after watching it all. Thank you very much. Greets from Egypt.
Without a doubt one of the most interesting, thoughtful, and best game soundtracks of all time. Absolutely loved hearing this!
the worth of a culture is not measured by its accomplishment but how those accomplishments last and how they are remembered. The beauty that you have inspired our people to create will ensure that our culture stands for all time
Arabia one is actually Turk because this melody is song a "Üsküdara Gider iken" melody and the Great Ottoman long live. Thank yours performances
Wow. The Ottoman score was so well played and sung. The ones before had flaws and weaknesses in tempo and tuning of the volume of the different groups of instruments. The Ottoman score on the other hand was perfect.
정말 하나하나 정성스럽게 준비하신 것이 느껴집니다. 멋진 연주회였습니다.
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone involved in the making of such a brilliant game.
Keep coming back to watch this over and over.
Man when Sogno di Volare is playing, I can see the main menu screen in front of me, I retrieve back all the memories, nostalgia and fun on playing this❤
Just found this symphony and immediately fall in love with it. Amazing music and performance. Thank you for sharing it!
Великолепное исполнение, музыка завораживает. Спасибо дирижёру и его команде!
Присоединяюсь! Браво
Это воистину волшебный опыт видеть то, как играют музыку, которую ты слушал часами в циве. Просто чудесно!
It's everything our Civilization needs: beauty, softness, lovingness. That's what this work of art woven with the Korean soul conveys to me. Congratulations and lots of hugs. Here, talking and enjoying directly from Brazil. This piece of art is going to be eternalized
I can't get over how fire that Ottoman theme is
I love seeing the players' obvious joy while playing this concert. That feeling is something I experienced a few times as a student.
Just wow. Phenomenal job. Chills and goosebumbs the whole time. Great job to all who were involved.
I have played Civ 5 and 6 for over 8 years. This performance gradually shook my soul ... in a good way. Thank you and I love you all
Oh, this is so wonderful, I can't help but cry!
That Waltzing Matilda rendition is beautiful!!!
Someone tag Rimmy
I couldn’t believe they got someone who knew how to play the didgeridoo as well, it was fantastic
This is what I needed in my life
Just brilliant
Literal chills. Thank you @FLASIC for this marvelous performance
We need Civilization 5 concerts too!
I've been craving for Terra Nova for the longest time
Terra Nova is great
No, we don't.
and IV !
Oh, Isabellas war theme, viva la quinta brigada, always gives me goosebumps.
As a loyal fan of the Osman (never "Ottoman!" :( ) Empire, its theme in Civ 6 is exceptionally well made. Whenever I hear the song, I recall its tolerance, advanced systems (such as Millet and Devshirme), and glory even before I notice.
Goodness, it's so beautiful. I'm getting choked up!
1:07:43 I am not even american, but this song always makes me cry, it's like a mix of hope, courage, joy and sorrow. 10/10
Oh man I got choked up when they ended with the Korean theme. Beautiful performance
I LOVE the dramatic dynamics of Game OSTs... They hit differently!
Wow! If i knew about this happening last year, i would have went and listen!
If you could.
Bravo!
I wanted to play this as background music while working. Instead, ended up watching the entire performance. I'm speechless! If only there could be more of these live symphonies...
Oh my god this is incredible. Thank you guys so much! Gonna watch the whole thing in a bit
Hearing these Civilization theme songs while watching the orchestra gives me chill. I really love this game and the music. Great job!
Thank you.
감사합니다 :)
When I heard Korea's Industrial and Atomic versions I honestly thought I was in another world. There is just power in the song "Arirang".
It is really inspiring to see the great work of all these people behind the music we hear all day when playing civ VI
You so guys (players, composers, staff and everyone) involved in this are so amazing. Thanks so much!! My favorite was "Arabia"
phenomenal, not only is music itself beautiful but how you guys performed it positively breathtaking
Scythia hits different.
It was all beautiful.. we truly live in amazing world.
We should treat each other better just think about the things we could achieve together if we stopped worrying about each other.
No music for the Netherlands?!?! 😤
RIGHT!! I'm sending my ships back around to Korea! 😡
All jokes aside: you guys did amazing!! ♥
