  • Not everyone has the luxury of access to running water, or the equipment required to do an effective SnowFoam. Are spray foamers a viable alternative?, do they provide enough good quality foam?, and are they effective as use as a pre-wash? Also does the type of foam, in addition to the PIR make a difference to the effectiveness of a good SnowFoam? We discuss all of these issues in this video as well as providing some top tips along the way.

      @anon1231 - Firstly we are glad that you found us and found us of great use! Thanks for your kind words - it is genuinely appreciated. Unfortunately, V-Project UK contracted COVID on several occasions and is now suffering from Long COVID. You would be amazed at the time and effort it takes to produce even basic videos! Due to being unwell it has been impossible to produce any more content. We will be back once recovered and are hoping this will be sooner rather than later! If you’ve not already done so subscribe and check out the rest of the channel! Thanks 🚗👍🏽🙏🏽

    Interesting video and I'm sure they put out plenty of videos with lots of information, however, this is an INACCURATE description of the IK sprayer. So, if you came here hoping to gain insight into the IK sprayer itself, read the user manual as it will provide the correct information.
    Per IK's user manual, the green and orange devices are "mixers" NOT nozzles. The sprayer comes with a grey "mixer" already attached to the unit. However, the video was incorrect by suggesting the purple device is interchangeable with these mixers; this is shown when you can see the purple device still being used on the left hand side demonstrating dry foam. The video also fails to show how to change the mixers.
    To change the mixers on the IK, you need to remove the bottle and remove the smaller tube and already assembled grey mixer (It should just be a firm pull to remove each part). Reverse for installation of your chosen mixer and attach the bottle to the pump/handle unit. There is no changing of the purple nozzle.
    Overall, the video was still insightful in it's objective of comparing wet (or intermediate) foam to dry foam.

    Another great vid 👍I have the IK Pro Foam 2 which I use just for wheel shampoo. I don't tend to snowfoam wheels these days, I use a citrus pre-wash with GT Wheel Shampoo over the top and once in a while BH Auto Wheel to remove fallout etc.

      SteveRabbits - Once again thank you for your kind words! Yes to be honest as our stock vehicles have ceramic coated wheels we very rarely foam either! A good rinseless/waterless wash is usually all that’s required to remove contamination. Thanks again for your continued support 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗

      @@VProjectUKDetailing you are welcome, tbh I wish I could help with subscriber numbers, I really do think you deserve way more. I guess these things take time though. I am a Patreon on a very well known UK detailing channel, I'll get permission and then drop a plug on there for you as soon as I can. Pretty sure it will result in a few new subs 👍

      SteveRabbits - Yes we’ve been on TH-cam for over 2 years now and were hoping for higher subscription rates! Unfortunately as a result of this content has slowed down a bit - but rest assured the channel will keep running and gather pace as subscriptions increase! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

    Informative video as usual. However - the text/transitions you use is very distracting. Hurts my eyes!

      monkwearmouthsa - Thank You for your kind words! You are the second person to say that the text format used in some of our latest videos is distracting, so responding to this constructive feedback we won’t use it on future videos! Thanks again - if you’ve not already done so check out the rest of the channel and subscribe! 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗

    Is foam necessary? I mean isn't it equal effective to apply pre-wash products with sprayers (pump or trigger)?

    • @VProjectUKDetailing
      @VProjectUKDetailing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      drtassos - Great question. It depends on the product. If you’ve not seen it already check out our “Panel Impact Ratio” video where we touch on this subject. So for a dedicated citrus pre-wash product which will clean more aggressively than a snow-foam a layer of foam is not necessary! For most dedicated snow-foams a layer of foam makes some difference as the ‘popping’ and movement of bubbles physically dislodges surface contamination. However with something like Bilt Hamber Auto Foam (and even though it’s a dedicated snow-foam), a layer of foam is not necessary as it’s the chemical ‘wetting agents’ which remove the majority of surface contamination rather than the physical action of the bubbles! Hope this helps - if you’ve not checked out the rest of the channel please do , and make sure you subscribe. Thanks 👍🏽🙏🏽🚗

      @elpilotodeidesierto3113 - Firstly thanks for watching! No - intermediate is best - not too wet - not too dry! If you’ve not already done so check out the rest of the channel & subscribe! Thanks 🙏🏽👍🏽🚗

    Good stuff! I love my iK 1.5 foamer. I use it strictly for wheel/tire/wheel well cleaning and it is amazing! I could never go back.

      Jason Moll - Absolutely. It's so handy for small areas and as mentioned in the video allows snowfoaming small areas without the hassle of setting up a whole pressure washer system. Thanks for watching - make sure you check out the rest of the channel, and if you haven't done so already please subscribe and hit the bell icon. Thanks.
