  • In this video, I'll be reviewing and demoing the IK Foamer 1.5 Handheld Pressure Sprayer. It's a foaming pump sprayer that I use mainly to apply Garage Therapy /ONE: Wheel Shampoo to my car. There are plenty of uses for this product in addition to applying wheel shampoo including, cleaning door shuts, engine bays, upholstery, carpets and even to apply a snow foam to the car if you've got the patience!
    It comes with three nozzles:
    - Green - dry foam
    - Grey - medium foam
    - Orange - wet foam
    Here is a link to the IK Foamer that I purchased. It is an affiliate link so if you make a purchase after clicking the link, then I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.

    I'm actually surprised how much foam this thing can produce. 😮 Bought one myself too past week. Just a cheap sprayer you can also use for the garden, but it has plenty of power to cover all 4 wheels, or the entire car in 1 layer of foam. So thanks to you! 😎😊

    Another really good video and answered one of my questions that I had been a bit embarrassed to ask about it's potential as an alternative to a pressure washer for delivering snow foam. One use I can see for these is pre-spraying when using Optimum No Rinse so I might just get one.

    Bought one of these 6 months ago but only used it a couple of times. Found it just added extra time onto my weekly wash. Tbh as I keep my wheels clean I just spray normal snow foam onto each wheel before going at it with a quick brush and mit. I then just snowfoam the whole car with the same product.

    Honest video Heather, yes it's a gimmick I gave up on mine after a few goes. I have the Pro it's no better. I do foam my wheels with GT One Wheel Shampoo, with a snow cannon and the foam remains stable. But to be honest, a bucket of wheel shampoo and a normal trigger bottle with shampoo in does just as well.

    I got the Pro 2 to use with GT wheel shampoo. The jury is out. I'm not convinced that I need to foam the product (relatively clean wheels) & the constant pumping is a faff. Maybe more enthusiastic if I felt that I needed the extra dwell time of foam.

      Hi
      Tried the foamer with a pre dilution mix and it just spluttered out🙁. Nothing like your video where it was nice and foamy.
      I’ve cleaned the foamer out by just using water. Also used the grey adapter on the inside of the foamer so I’m going to try again with 20ml solution.

  • @scottmattern482
    @scottmattern482 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I want to like my 1.5 foam sprayer, but it has always just spit and sputtered foam, not a smooth spray. I have cleaned it, changed filters, changed nozzles and nothing has helped. Nonetheless, the repetitive pumping motion is much safer for your hands in the long run, than squeezing a trigger sprayer all day for years. I do have the "pro" or 2.0 version which I haven't used yet, as my flawed 1.5 version still works good enough.

  • @thedetailkave

    Tried to use my Mclaren unbranded version today and had to abandon it, pumped it till it the air was venting through the release valve and just no pressure when the product came out, was just a weak shaving foam, may have a dud cause it was nothing like your footage. Even swapped to the orange nozzle to help and kept to just 500ml of product and it was useless. Don't suppose you've had that issue?

    I was gonna buy this for the very same purpose in using Garage Therapy Wheel Cleaner,I know you said there is a slight issue if you have product left over in the bottle and use it again a week later in that it doesn't seem to foam as well,but by the time you do the four wheels on your initial wash,would you have much left in the bottle for the "next" wash??Are you put off using it then due to the product not foaming,like would you soldier on or just refill with some new GT shampoo? also if I could be a pain,can you point me to one of your vids where you use the GT wheel cleaner with this so I can see it in your normal routine as such! Thanks for the great content!

      Thanks for watching :) I usually fill the bottle with 500 ml of water and 10-15 ml of the shampoo (or just a glug depending on if I can't be bothered to measure it!) and use about 400 ml of the solution per car. The leftover 100 ml just goes into the wheel bucket on the next wash so it's not really an issue and doesn't feel like it's being wasted! • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could try increasing it to 15 ml, at that concentration it’d be more than enough. It should still work fine at 10ml though, could the solution have got a bit too mixed up and foamed up in the bottle itself before it was sprayed as that can cause it to be a bit more watery? Yep 10ml in 500ml of water does 4 wheels for me easily 😊
