For my IK foam pro 2 i use the Green tip for engine bay cleaning. The orange tip for washing the vehicle and the standard foam for wheel cleaning. Just a personal preference 🙂
I can't thank you enough for this great vid. Just bought my Pro2 and was struggling a bit with dilution and exactly what the tips did and where they were installed. Thanks again.
I just got one of this as my sprayer. Haven't used it yet though I read the user's manual cover to cover. So far this review/unboxing/product demo video is the best in terms of detail and education I've found on youtube about this ik foam pro 2. Thanks!
Perfect 👌 visual tutorial! I didn't want to read the manual, because I just learned better by watching someone else. This is the first video I found that really goes over everything. Thanks for being a great teacher! EDIT: One question- once you put the red or green handle cap on, how the heck do you get it off? I'm squeezing and squeezing but 😶. Ahhh- if anyone else is wondering, use a flat head screwdriver and simply pry it off. I actually suggest just keeping the grey and orange tip in the plastic bag because the green tip seems to be the best and I won't be changing it and would rather not have the two other tips rattling around every time I pick up or set down the unit.
Before this video I thought a sprayer was just a sprayer. The color-coded storage caps and the pressure release instantly sold me on this. I'm glad you also pressed the red buttons, being able to hear the mechanical quality of small moving parts like that is important. 👍
Nicely done KP. I would even suggest to pump up the iK at the halfway point because that's when the nozzle's output dramatically reduces to a point that it's almost useless. Then because the output is so low you are forced to make more passes to make up for the diminished spray pattern, and you end up losing time effectiveness. So I simply put another 10-15 pumps in it and viola, its perfect again. Also, I totally agree with your conclusion on the Green because it allows you more working time with the brush. By the way, after about six months I tried the Axel 3000 and due to the 50% increase in volume, it is easy to get a robust spray throughout a full panel. Try it you will love it.
just bought one KP . The foam pro2+ will let you know how it is .GREAT review you should try do more products and get a sponser, sure they would be happy to have someone like you to show off there new products. ALL THE BEST.
I've been thinking about purchasing one of these for a while and after watching this demonstration, I feel more confident in getting one. Awesome video, subbed!
Great review, thank you. I will start using the green tip because I need the thick foam. Didnt unferstand the manual completely but your explanation is very helpfull.
Very helpful and practical video! Thank you so much! I have just purchased the iK foamer and Mega Foam shampoo, but a bit disappointed as it did not foam good. I tried all 3 tips. I was wondering about the dilution ratio. I will try 4 oz + warm water next time as you did. (It did work well for P&S brake buster wheel & tire cleaner as Pan The Organizer showed in his video.)
I just bought this exact pump sprayer. A few questions. 1. Do you wet the entire down before the foaming process? 2. Do you foam the entire car? 3. How long do you let the foam sit on the vehicle? 4. Do you rinse the entire car off and then wash it using the two bucket method with wash mits? Thank you. I've been detailing my own cars for over 40 years and decided to try a pump foam sprayer.
Vincent, I have the same sprayer. Different schools of thought on wet first then foam or just foam. I'm convinced you should foam first UNLESS you have a lot of mud and debris on your car. The foam helps with breaking down the dirt. You can do entire car at once or panel by panel - don't make it hard on yourself. Then, rinse after letting sit (read instructions for the soap/foam you are using - the chemicals (soap in this case) should always come with directions). Absolutely use the two bucket method and something (grit guard or something else) to keep the dirt/grit at the bottom of the rinse bucket. You know this, but the goal is to keep the scratches to a minimum. Have fun and enjoy the process and your car.
I just bought one of these from Amazon. Haven’t tried it yet. Few comments said it was just about good enough to do the wheels. Think you’ve just proved them wrong. 👍
Excellent review, I watched a couple of reviews on the IK and you're the only one to take the time and demonstrate the three different tips, thanks!!!!
got mine as well as brake buster yesterday , was gonna read owners manual before 1st use but after seeing this I feel confident enuff to toss it out. good job!
Wow amazing review. I literally just received the foam pro 2 and decided to buy Adams mega foam as it's compliment and was curious as too how to work it. You nailed it
I was curious about the difference in the results using the different 3 tips and you nailed it! Thanks a lot. Using a reasonable amount, is it possible to use this to foam and entire compact car?
Thanks for this man!!! I had my first try with it earlier this evening, but didn’t concentrate the mix enough. I’ll have it ready the next time around.
I live in California and we are once again subject to water restrictions so waterless/rinseless is really the only way to go. I went with the Chemical Guys sprayer along with Ammo Frothe though. It's way more lubricated and proved to minimize abrasions. It's actually easier/more convenient than foaming the car with the pressure washer and rinsing with water. I usually keep my cars clean but I'm sure if the car is heavily soiled, it's not the best option.
I just got this sprayer so it was very helpful to see the different tips' characteristics, so thank you. One question though, the maximum indicated amount of liquid fill according to the manual is 1.25 L or 42 ounces and you filled it well above that mark, and yet it looked like it worked fine. Any idea why the maximum the manufacturer indicates is 1.25L ?
Take a look at the rag company’s review of this product. There is a few on TH-cam but the reason for the bigger container than the 1.5 model is the amount of air. It’s a foam sprayer so you need the air. Don’t over fill this like this guy does as you’ll be pumping forever more. 35oz is fine. It makes perfect sense. You can see the very short spray time he gets from it. Pump to the maximum pressure with 35oz and you’ll do better.
I could only got IK Foam 1.5 or the really big one in my country. I like the gray tip for foaming wheels and tires.. need to refill carwash solution twice for foaming the whole small MPV car.. I like the foam, but not the pumping haha about 20 push per panel to have a really good foam.
Hartley Taslim i definitely feel yah on that haha! The foam is great but lots of work to get even coverage of each panel. That's why its probably best to use this on wheel cleaning but to each ones own! I personally like to put in the extra pump work to see the satisfying foam cover the car 🔥
@@kpsdetailing5712 I have karcher at home with its original foam lance.. not a great one but function enough to put soap solutions on the car. When I stay in my apartment, no hose, so IK Foamer really helps to lubricate the car surface (with a lot of hand exercise) haha
By over filling it with liquid you get less air to spray with. Great video but you put too much liquid in the bottle. Try it with less, the spray time is miles better.
I bought mine last week and received a couple days ago before finding your video, which helped with my unboxing...so Thanks! However, in the last 23 secs., did you leave in the green tip or change back to the gray?
@@kpsdetailing5712 Did you have trouble inserting the green tip, like I am? It has a wider insert than the gray and a shorter insert for the tube to go back into...
Great review! How has it held up and do you use it for different types of chemicals or just strictly foam? I'm planning on using it for cleaning tires/rims, interiors, as well as cleaning the house. Thanks.
I am not too sure if ONR will work but I dont see why not! If you were to use ONR with this product I assume it's going to be mainly spraying out a mist no matter what tip you end up using.
For my IK foam pro 2 i use the Green tip for engine bay cleaning. The orange tip for washing the vehicle and the standard foam for wheel cleaning. Just a personal preference 🙂

I have watched a LOT of pump foamer videos on YT. So far this is the only one I've seen that actually produces legitimate foam. (Although barely)
Before this video I thought a sprayer was just a sprayer. The color-coded storage caps and the pressure release instantly sold me on this. I'm glad you also pressed the red buttons, being able to hear the mechanical quality of small moving parts like that is important. 👍

Jock SWEET! Let me know how you like it when you try it out!
