Halfords Reverse Thread Locking Wheel Nut Remover

The tool worked fine, but I found it only works like 20% of the time because the side walls are really thick. If you are after a very strong, well made, long life wheel nut remover then this Halfords tool is for you. However the problem is when you arrive to find the locking wheel nut snuggly fitted into the alloy rim and wound up tighter than your grandfathers cuckoo clock, then you know its going to be tricky. When it has like 2mm all round gap between the locking wheel nut and the alloy wheel then the Halfords nut remover wont work for you. What you will need is a reverse thread locking wheel nut remover with a very thin side wall , like the one on the right hand side in the video.

Yes you just hammer them on..

When i say hammer I mean lightly tap with a hammer to get the first line of the thread to bite then reversing the socket will get it to fully bite.
