If you are missing a piece, all you need to do is go to Lego.com and go to I the bottom of the page click on replacement parts. Then “missing bricks”, type in a set that has the brick you need and they will send it to you. No postage, no handling or shipping fee, nothing, ABSOLUTELY FREE. Even if it is a single sausage. If you need a minifig, you can do it with that, too.
I fell down a rabbit hole thanks to your How to Buy Cheap Lego vids. Wanted a 2011 Space shuttle. It was actually a lot of fun finding the cheapest possible options on BL. Changed the concept a bit because one rare colour, went all white but that led to many shades of yellowing bricks. Did the peroxide/oxiclean/uv trick, not bad results. Two sellers shipped wrong parts, one understandable error, one head-scratcher. Just delayed the project a bit. Overall, BLink worked well, everyone shipped fast and I only went with buyers with clear terms. Actually more fun in the end than just buying new!
The molds are constantly changing. There are more variations of parts that you might think and not every variation is recorded in Bricklink nor does it need to be. LEGO sets will often have a couple of variations even within the same set. I don’t know if ANY website in which you can buy something for a penny and only want to buy that one thing, so I’m not sure why that would be a Bricklink problem - that’s a shipping problem. Stick to reputable sellers. Avoid sellers that add unexplained fees. The PayPal fee charge is a European Union problem - we can’t add PayPal fees in the US if we want to keep the us of PayPal. I’ve been using the shipping calculator and it’s been pretty close. If it undercharges I eat the cost. I’ve issues some refunds too. Buying used LEGO is a hassle both for buyer and seller. I have been slowly eliminating used parts from my store. The best thing is if it is an expensive piece is the seller should include good picture and description. I’ve been disappointed that the search has never improved as far as autocorrect but I’m willing to deal with that if it means the fees never go up.
I don't have too much issue with bricklink except I don't like minimum order quotas. It means that I only want a Duplo brick for say 70p 1 dollar and have to spend maybe £5 or say 7 dollars.
Not only do I hate total amount minimums, now they’ve started lot amount minimums! If I only need 1, 2, or 4 of a part, that’s all I’m buying. Stop trying to push more sales! I will just go elsewhere if I see that rule, or any extra fees.
I understand all these problems. I buy my Lego only from private people, I have several categories of quality, I wash every single piece before entering it into my inventory and I am used to work in a very exact way. My shop is not very big - but maybe it is worth a try: Atelier Waltraud in Austria. And yes: please read all descriptions. By the way: BrickLink is the biggest and most exact platform worldwide concerning Lego.
I have been using Bricklink a while and can honestly say I have not experienced any of these issues. Its common sense that ‘Used’ items can vary in quality. Thats the risk you take. And if you do not read all the small print, well, thats your fault.
I got scammed by a German Bricklink store. Bought an expensive San Diego Comic-Con exclusive minifig and it was clearly self-printed on a blank figure, not by Lego. Seller refused to give me my money back so I had to contact my credit card company and luckily got my money back that way.
So, I just made my first order on br8ck link. Found a great deal on a complete set. But something just kinda goofy happened. I entered a shipping adress, which is my mailing adress, but for some reason, the seller asked me if I wanted him to ship to the billing adress on my paypal. Which is my mother's P.O. box, one town north. I really hope he got my message. My mom really doen't need to know I"m still buyng LEGO.
In my experience, when buying from bigger sellers you actually are taking an equal if not larger risk than if you bought from smaller sellers. The "big boys" tend to take ages to respond to complaints on orders, and when they do they may end up just saying "I'll just refund the part, no biggie", or they just ignore your messages till you go away. Smaller stores, since they aren't bogged down with tons of orders and such, tend to get your order perfect nearly every time. If they don't, they're usually very quick to respond to complaints and will remedy the issue with not much (if any) hassle. Remember this too: $15-$20 is a lot more to a small store than it is to a big store, hence the reason smaller stores will try so hard to fix issues ASAP while larger stores will tend to either take longer to fix issues or just ignore them all together.

As a Bricklink seller/buyer myself I agree with you regarding the complicated fees. It drives me mad when they have all these crazy tiered percentage fees. Also, I hate it when sellers say they don't charge fees yet hide their fees in the postage costs. I had a massive row with a seller once about this sneaky tactic - which is very unfair on foreign buyers who don't how much a 2nd class stamp costs! A simple, transparent, additional charge I have no problem with.
David I'm THINKING of opening my own Bricklink store. What bothers me is the " LOT DOLLAR MINIMUM" I've had to delete great orders. I've added/deleted on order to get past that window. No luck. I've contacted seller for bypass password but no luck.
I've been buying from Bricklink steadily for the last 5 or 6 years now and in that time it seems to have become a bit worse. I tend to stick to the bigger dealers on there these days as parts usually arrive clean and well packed. Cleanliness on the parts is a big deal for me - if you can't be bothered to clean used parts before selling at a profit you really shouldn't be allowed to have a shop on there. Most of my experiences have been good but I've been hit by all the things you've pointed out in this video. Regarding the fees it is actually against PayPal's terms to charge an extra fee when accepting payment. It is also potentially against the law in the UK to operate this way. A law was passed in 2017 banning companies from charging a fee to accept credit/debit cards including linked ways of paying such as PayPal or Apple Pay. This flies under the radar a lot on Bricklink and other secondary market sites but sellers can be fined and PayPal can take action for breaching its own terms.
I also had some problems with sellers who don't show shipping prices on the main page and use "request for invoice" shipping method. For example, I ordered four cheap battlepacks for total 60$ in Singapore store. When I received an invoice shipping price was 100 sg$ (about 75 us$). And this was for 0,4kg small parcel!!!!!. I cancelled order and wrote "too much shipping cost" in reason of cancellation. This dude left me "non paying buyer" feedback and marked my order as a "spam order". I was new to bricklink those time so then I had -1 feedback and couldn't order anithing in big good stores due to bad feedback.🤷🤦
That's *_PRECISELY_* why you really shouldn't order from Bricklink from sellers who are not from your own continent or, what is ever better yet there, your own country, if you can help it! [What is in that way, the shipping, handling and postage (stamp) fees won't be that high in cost for you.]
Interesting video! I definitely agree with the search engine problems. I've been setting up my Bricklink store, and I think they've added the option to precalculate postage so you know what you are going to pay. Also I'm not sure that bigger sellers will always be more careful, as they would also have more orders coming through, whereas smaller stores would only get a few orders coming through allowing the owner to be more meticulous (although I may be biased)
Yes that's a change of design by Lego this a problem I sometimes do have with bricklink is that the seller doesn't know the difference sometimes the 2 slightly different bricks can even be in the same set so if a bricklink seller is parting out 100 of the same set it can be that they don't notice the difference
So far I've only had one problem on BrickLink. A seller marked me as non-paying buyer (NPB) after the order was completed (I already got my Lego), because I gave "neutral" instead of "good" feedback. The seller and I had quite a heated discussion via private email because he didn't want to leave any traces on BrickLink, I think. Anyways, I used the BrickLink contact form, described my situation and wanted support to counteract this possibly illegal move from the seller. They just closed my ticket without a reply.
I've never had and issues with orders on bricklink other than the shipping cost can be more than the cost of the set you order once you expect to paid for me a min of $25 on a set and up. All so why is the bad cop chase set 70819 is so expensive it's the only set I have left in my lego movie set collection to get.

I’ve been buying stuff on bricklink for 5 years and only had 2 problems, the seller forgetting a piece or something, and bad packaging. First of which a seller forgetting something is not a big deal in my experience, I’ve either gotten my money back for the thing they forgot or they’ve sent it to me afterwards free of charge! The second, bad packing/ packaging is annoying one orders bubble mailer envelope almost tore completely up and almost lost my whole order, with a worth of $80. I’ve later contacted the seller and they’ve apologized and offer a small refund, I also asked the to upgrade the packing/ packaging. These problems are easy to stay away from if you just choose the right store and read their terms.
Not gonna lie, I thought this video was a little too critical. Most of these problems are general risks with buying anything secondhand. 9/10 times when I have a problem with being sent the wrong piece or something the seller and I are able to work something out. And it just makes sense that you’ll accidentally order things if you don’t read the item descriptions.
I’ve never bought from Bricklink because I refuse to buy something without knowing the shipping costs. The only option you have is to wait for an invoice and then the seller can ask what he wants. Not clear, not fair. I tried to contact one seller to ask for costs regarding one sealed set, never got an answer. I prefer to pay more for some retired sets on eBay than to try to buy on Bricklink. I only imagine buying used if it’s like new or well taken care of. Also that search is ridiculous, we aren’t in 1995 no more!
As a bricklink seller I understand these issues but I really think some of the things you brought up is necessary. For example the minimum lot buy is a life savior. Imagine someone wants 150 different items and 1 of eash items. It will probably barely reach over 20$ at most and it takes 2 hours to pick and pack. Not worth the work. Also the PayPal fee is also needed. We don't know whether you are gonna place a 5$ order or a 50$ order so we need to take a PayPal fee for everyone. Although nice video, I agree with some things :)
About your slope problem at 2:00 , LEGO often change brick design slightly. For bricks that have changed design, Bricklink lists each individual design separate, as well an "undetermined" listing for people not bothered with which design they get. You probably bought from an undetermined listing on the cheap, hence why you got the 2 different designs. Or the seller was just a fool, who knows
If you want a website to manage collection or find out what sets you can build, Rebrickable is good for that. Even has settings to ignore color or printed parts. And alternate builds too.
The main problem I have with bricklink and haven't bought loads of Lego I want from them is the sellers who claim what they are selling is 100% complete whilst missing the figure(s) and/or instructions, stickers (applied or not doesn't matter as long as they are there) etc. I think the only thing that should be missing from a 100% complete used set is the original plastic bags
Definitely agree with you about the convoluted, tedious ordering and invoicing process, as well as the additional fees. I used to use bricklink a lot but I’m drifting back towards using eBay just for less hassle.
The search tab is just horrible, it is so frustrating when you misspell just a single word and it tells you there are no results. Also the need for invoice to get the total price you would have to pay is awful and quite unnecessary, as they could totally do what eBay does, giving you pre-fixed prices. Though I must say the prices on bricklink are way better when you compare them to eBay’s prices. Anyway sorry for the rant, great video as always, keep up the great work!
hope these are helpful comments : 1)Do a google search to find the set number (as you note google is very good), then use the set number in bricklink. 2) use peroxide to fix problems of yellow brick - common for white and grey - it is a chemical reduction the discolouration, and perxoide will remove the discolouration. Word of warning, in UK never ask for perxoide in a shop or you will get a visit from the boys in blue. white washing powder in the UK is 30% peroxide and is the best source. don't over-do-it as it will remove all the colour from the bricks and make the transparent. 3) charges : I am just a small seller - just charge postage - the rest is included in the price . Postage itself, yes this is just something you have to have an idea on, you can always ask by messaging. 4) last one I have noted is that sometimes i think that some messaging does not go through, I have asked questions and found in the end the seller had been responding and I did not get this This is a worry as i think I have lost a sale today - I have replied twice, but nothing.
I think it is an UNDERHANDED way to conduct business to lower your price so as to cultivate interest in a product, then apply charges and high postage to re-establish your profit. Many sellers do this for lego parts, and I have noted them and refuse to do business any more. 'BUT THAT'S BUSINESS,' someone calls from the sideline ..... Not for me, I reply. I'd rather pay more for parts and deal with a seller with integrity.
Ive never purchased from Bricklink. I find their catalogue to be great for reference, but as for actual purchases, its scattered about. Good visual reference also, but you are confirming what other buyers have said in the past. Happy building ,mate.
I had a personal experience with a colour error. I thought I had landed a coup with some very nicely priced Sand Blue 1 x 2 bricks. Turned out to be Medium Blue. Seller was excellent about it though, and offered a full refund.
My problem is that you can rate buyers... first time i bought something. The order was completely wrong. I tried contacting the seller.... no contact. After a while i gave a negative feedback. Now i cant buy anymore after 1 order. Because my status is minus 1....

It is hard to find a good seller that sells some parts in a decent amout and quality.Also the most of the sellers are located in the ass of the world, and the shipping becomes hella expencive.Still one of the best ways of buying lego.
I bought a deadpool from a bricklink seller a few weeks ago, all there reviews were positive and it came pretty quick only problem was that the head was fake. It was my first time using bricklink and truthfully it has scared me away from the site.
Good points in your video. I still consider myself "new" to bricklink. Though I've placed over 50 orders over the last year, so I've a decent amount of experience. I have to say, overall, I've had REALLY good luck with sellers. Usually everything is right, and when it's not, sellers usually make it right. I did have two small issues with recent orders...one minifigure had the wrong head, fortunately the seller had another of the same figure and she's shipping me the replacement. Another seller had forgotten to include some gold tiles I ordered and when I checked he sent them and I had them two days later. It's always a little disappointing when a seller doesn't have a part they advertised, because I usually plan my orders very strategically to get all the parts I need as cheaply as possible. But I understand, when dealing sometimes with very large inventories, it's going to happen. I REALLY appreciate when they let me know asap that they don't have the part...much like you say, the cost is usually so minimal, I don't really care about that aspect. Mostly I just want to know, so I can get the part on a subsequent order asap. I recently had ordered 3 of a part I needed to complete a set, and when it arrived it only had 2 and had a note that one was missing and I think a refund was issued (though I never actually check that the few cents refunds go through). I wrote a nice comment to him to let him know I would have appreciated knowing as soon as he realized, so I could have likely ordered the part on a future order that I had already made a few of after that order. He said he didn't do that because he didn't want to wait to hear back from the buyer. I thought that was pretty bad and as a buyer, I REALLY would love any seller to just let me know asap if something is going to be missing, so I can make other arrangements to get the needed part. Usually the cost of the part isn't an issue, it's trying to minimize the number of shipments to save as much as possible on shipping. I'd say overall, I've been pretty pleased...as long as their is good communication is going on, I'm going to be happy as a buyer. I do have one order that I placed about a week ago that is still just listed as "paid". I'm giving it a little longer before I check in with the seller. I think I had that once and the item just showed up never being marked as shipped...so that might be the case. One thing about color variations...with the light gray and dark gray, they switched to light bluish gray and dark bluish gray in the early/mid 2000s. I find that the older grays look sort of yellowed in comparison to the new...so could be a case of getting the older shade of grays. I just sorted a tub of LEGO today/last night that had about 10-15% of the older grays, that I sorted separately. Also, they switched from brown to reddish brown at some point. I'd say some sellers probably aren't savvy enough to sort that (like you say, bigger sellers will be better)...and also, some older LEGOs definitely do yellow...so could be that too. If I'm building a complete set or personal custom set, I'll stick to new parts (mostly at least). If I'm completing an older set, then I'll take my chances with used pieces. I did get a little burned recently buying an older star wars minifigure...there was no special notes about the condition, but when I got it the cape was badly discolored and creased. It's disappointing, because a replacement cape will cost close to the price of the figure. But really that's the only significant condition issue I had. I think I had one medium brown plate had a bad scratch that looked pretty bad, but I had ended up getting one in a used tub of LEGO I bought. Anyway, this has gotten REALLY long haha...but mostly just thought I'd say thanks for your video and share a few experience I've had over the past several months. Cheers!
I think most of the "problems" you listed are not unique to Bricklink, but inherent to any 2nd hand market. You have to already be in the mindset to deal with variety of sellers, just like you would be buying stuff from Craigslist or eBay, etc. I do agree that Bricklink's search could be improved, however.
Just within the past day or so, I placed an order on Bricklink for over $100 in parts. When I got the invoice, there was a shipping charge and two "additional charges." One of those additional charges was more than the cost of the parts! And that was in addition to the shipping fee and another additional charge for a few dollars. Needless to say, I have requested a cancellation. I just requested it earlier today. Hopefully there won't be a problem canceling the order. But there is NO WAY that I'm going to go forward with this order with the total between the shipping and added fees being just shy of 1.5 times the amount of the parts.
Bricks go yellow because of a component of the old plastic. Now it doesn't happen anymore. And slopes has thicker anti studs because it was a old design
It takes little time to review your cart about item description of used items. Feedback is a great indication if you should buy from a seller. Yes I have placed over 800 orders on BL and find 1 of 5 have problems. Rarely have had issue getting refund. Yes added fees suck. I never charge fees and never overcharge shipping.
I've had very good experiences with used parts that are from afols' own collections. The used parts from more "commercial" sellers though come from anywhere, may have been tumbled in a washing machine, have threading of the plastic, feel more brittle, etc.
I find that being from australia it can be quite difficult.to find everything you want which sucks because getting parts shipped from overseas to Australia is generally super expensive
I haven't had any problems with Bricklink, all sellers have been very nice and if there is something wrong, all of them have tried and solve the issue as quick as possible with either refund or sending the missing parts. One thing that do annoy me are all the extra fees that some sellers have, like if you are using paypal there is x% extra on your order, or packing fees. And very expensive shipping. But other than that there are no problems with bricklink
Don't agree with the big sellers recommendation. In my experience they make more mistakes, are quite expensive and the communication can be worse than smaller or beginning shops. There are exceptions of course. Just pay atention to the feedback. But big thumbs up for the search engine complaint, it always takes a few tries to get the dimensions for slopes etc exactly right.
I only ever bought two things from BrickLink, only one of them had a missing piece. Both transactions were kinda complicated because it was my first time using it. But for individual pieces, I check to see if Lego's Pick-A-Brick has them and order them from there.
I have ordered a fair bit off bricklink and never had any issues of note. I have had a few dirty bricks but they cleaned up fine and the description said used. If having any discoloured bricks is going to be an issue, best order from Lego direct although you often will pay more but guaranteed brand new parts. Agreed you need to be wary of fees but its a simple enough to make sure you dont get caught out.
I personally always stick with new bricks when ordering on Bricklink because I will be using them near existing sets I own that are not that old. The items that are missing something is indeed a problem and I would like to see an option that Bricklink would show you only complete sets or items and they could solve that with just an extra checkbox. The postal fees are indeed a bit of a hit and miss but with all the countries you can order from it is what it is for now. Still I'm happy that there is a site like this because it helped many LEGO fans a lot to find something that wasn't available anymore from other sources.
I've been purchasing Lego bricks on Bricklink for about a year. Until this month my orders have all been in the range of about £5 to £20 and I have been very satisfied with the 8 or so orders that I placed. However this month I'm building an updated design of one of the Lego Modular buildings requiring the purchase of about 2000 bricks for a cost over 3 orders and sellers of about £200. What has disappointed me is the standard of some of the used bricks supplied with wrong part supplied, severe discolouration, physical damage and contamination all issues. So I raised these quality issues with two sellers (the actually amount for the parts was less than £1 in each case). One of the two (who has a TH-cam channel) immediately refunded me but the other has pulled the angle that his terms and conditions in his view allow him to ship defective bricks. For my next order it will be new bricks only!
Yes it does have its faults, particularly around its 'dated' interface but even that continues to improve. The best thing about buying Lego from bricklink is that most of the sellers are Lego experts and often have a passion for the products they sell. I've only really had two mishaps on bricklink, once the wrong length Lego string was delivered, but the seller was more than happy to provide the correct string, and once I was caught out by expensive postage costs from abroad. Completely my fault, but a lesson learned.
I'd like to point out something, there are actually two different families of grey that Lego uses for bricks. And even brand new the Gray family looks considerably yellow compared to the Bluish Gray family.
Sellers should try to list their parts correctly and pay attention to variants as much as possible. It is called being professional. But on the flip side it is no fun dealing with variant snobs either. I have had people use this to get free stuff from time to time.
Just bought some stuff on bricklink order 14 2x3 bricks and got 5 ordered 1x8 Technic brick didn't get it and as I only bought 50 ish parts didn't seem like human error was to blame but with how many pieces I bought wasn't worth my time to get the missing pieces, yes I checked my order 3 times
The missing items issue can be a huge one, depending on how the seller handles it. I recently pieced together a set, and ended up having to buy from multiple suppliers. Two of the orders had problems; one had a piece missing, and another one had a fake lego piece in it. I can totally understand both of these - things like this are inevitably going to happen from time to time. The difference was how the sellers handled them. The one with the fake piece apologized profusely and immediately mailed out a replacement at no charge. The seller who missed a piece just refunded me for that one piece, like $0.25 or something trivial. I couldn't finish my model without that piece, and I didn't need any other pieces at that time, so I didn't have any other orders to tack the missing part onto. Because of this, I had to place an order with a different seller for just that one $0.25 piece, and pay about $5 shipping on it. There should be some type of system to prevent sellers from screwing buyers like this.
Yes, I only buy new lego on line, and sometimes used lego if I can see it before I buy. The trouble for me is the time spent sorting and cleaning used lego isn't worth the saving... Mostly.
I have only run into one problem when I ordered from bricklink. I found a lot on the dotted mouth grill clones from a limited edition set for cheap there were 3 but the seller found another one so I got four clones. I received them and what I got was upsetting. Two out of four clones had the wrong torso. The torso was an exclusive print and the wrong torsos were an updated version that occur in LEGO clones today. I contacted the seller and he sent the torsos. That was resolved and I was pondering why the seller sent the wrong torsos and they are not that similar.
I'm a minifigure kind of guy, so I don't know any sellers that'd have a wide variety of minifigures to buy. I really want to buy from bricklink, but I honestly have no clue what to do. I am very confused on how to begin, but mostly i'm wondering if the quantity is related to the price. Heres an example, If a brick has a quantity of 2, and a price of three dollars, is it two pieces for three dollars or two pieces for six dollars? It's all very intimidating and I'm tempted to just not use it at all. That conclusion really restricts my options of buying bricks to just purchasing from lego.com, or ebay.
I used ‘auto select’ to buy a load of bricks to complete a set. Part of the order was the instructions. When it arrived there was only one book out of the three needed to build the model. I checked and it was in the seller’s description, my error.
My biggest disappointment with brick link is sets with incorrect parts even though they say 100% correct. I collect Town and Space Lego so it is a pain.

Your comment on the grey bricks brings up the question did you order "Light bluish grey" parts or "light grey"? "Light grey" is a pre 2007 colour that definitely has a yellowish/brownish/tannish tint to it vs the new bluish grey or "bley". Next to each other they are indeed strikingly different.
I buy only from stores from my country with bank transfer cause i dont have paypal so i dont even need search i just go through 30 stores in my country (16 of them have more than 10 k in inventory) and i always find everything i need,postage is bubbled envelope that costs less than 3 $ if i need just a part i tend to order cool sw minifig with it even if its a single mandalorian trooper.I rebuilt my 2007 mtt this month,build 6 staps from nothing and build 2017 aat from nothing.I only received 1 bad brick and it was for my seventh stap that i didnt end up building,part cost less than 15 cents and later on i found 2 in my lego box anyway

Calculating postage in advance is basically impossible - AusPost want to know the weight, physical size and destination before they'll tell me the price. So I have to assemble an order and find a box that fits it before I can even guess. I've had people order one or two parts that just can't be packed sensibly so they end up getting 40g of Lego in a 150g box and since I charge actual postage that costs them way more than the Lego. A day later someone will order 5kg of second hand sets and say "yep, just bung the bags in a box" which ends up being 200g... the overhead is much less for me, and the postage cost is quite reasonable. Then unfortunately Paypal charge me some complex amount so I look that up and add it on, plus the Briclink fee and then I just have to hope that my scales and ruler match whatever the post office is doing on the day (I have had to ask them to take other things off the scale, and redo measurements). Buyers are already getting free labour, expecting me to cover all the little fees just means I'll have to put prices up, sales will crater and I'll stop selling. One of the core problems with the reverse-auction nature of Bricklink is that it's a crude race to the bottom for sellers.
Hi! I have a question...when I buy a minifigure on Bricklink is it possible to receive a not perfect minifigure, even if the description says that it is perfect? Another question...if I buy a NEW minifigure it has to be always in perfect conditions, right?
Sorry to say but some bricks on brick link are 3D printed. If your brick isn't like the other one it probably was 3D printed. Or it potentially is just an old brick.
Yeah I buy from the actual lego pick-a-brick store when I can. I just use Brinklink for things that Lego isn't selling currently. I haven't had any issues with Bricklink though - I stick with the massive stores and I've had great success getting out of print parts. I don't think I'd buy minifigs from there - I use eBay for that to get sealed / new figs.
I look for the set that has the so-called rare part and just order as much as I need I don't understand why builders buy sets as part packs a go all gooey eyed because a mid priced set had 4 parts in it that they don't have, just buy up to 200 of them on bricks and pieces.
It's against PayPal's policy to charge a surcharge for fees associated with using paypal. If a seller is doing this, do not order from them and find another seller.

Some store owners want to sell off there stock/store BUT they don't clarify that. Other stores ask you to request a bypass password.

If you are missing a piece, all you need to do is go to Lego.com and go to I the bottom of the page click on replacement parts. Then “missing bricks”, type in a set that has the brick you need and they will send it to you. No postage, no handling or shipping fee, nothing, ABSOLUTELY FREE. Even if it is a single sausage. If you need a minifig, you can do it with that, too.

I fell down a rabbit hole thanks to your How to Buy Cheap Lego vids. Wanted a 2011 Space shuttle. It was actually a lot of fun finding the cheapest possible options on BL. Changed the concept a bit because one rare colour, went all white but that led to many shades of yellowing bricks. Did the peroxide/oxiclean/uv trick, not bad results. Two sellers shipped wrong parts, one understandable error, one head-scratcher. Just delayed the project a bit. Overall, BLink worked well, everyone shipped fast and I only went with buyers with clear terms. Actually more fun in the end than just buying new!

The molds are constantly changing. There are more variations of parts that you might think and not every variation is recorded in Bricklink nor does it need to be. LEGO sets will often have a couple of variations even within the same set. I don’t know if ANY website in which you can buy something for a penny and only want to buy that one thing, so I’m not sure why that would be a Bricklink problem - that’s a shipping problem.
Stick to reputable sellers. Avoid sellers that add unexplained fees. The PayPal fee charge is a European Union problem - we can’t add PayPal fees in the US if we want to keep the us of PayPal.
I’ve been using the shipping calculator and it’s been pretty close. If it undercharges I eat the cost. I’ve issues some refunds too.
Buying used LEGO is a hassle both for buyer and seller. I have been slowly eliminating used parts from my store. The best thing is if it is an expensive piece is the seller should include good picture and description.
I’ve been disappointed that the search has never improved as far as autocorrect but I’m willing to deal with that if it means the fees never go up.
I don't have too much issue with bricklink except I don't like minimum order quotas. It means that I only want a Duplo brick for say 70p 1 dollar and have to spend maybe £5 or say 7 dollars.
Not only do I hate total amount minimums, now they’ve started lot amount minimums! If I only need 1, 2, or 4 of a part, that’s all I’m buying. Stop trying to push more sales! I will just go elsewhere if I see that rule, or any extra fees.
I understand all these problems. I buy my Lego only from private people, I have several categories of quality, I wash every single piece before entering it into my inventory and I am used to work in a very exact way. My shop is not very big - but maybe it is worth a try: Atelier Waltraud in Austria. And yes: please read all descriptions. By the way: BrickLink is the biggest and most exact platform worldwide concerning Lego.
I have been using Bricklink a while and can honestly say I have not experienced any of these issues. Its common sense that ‘Used’ items can vary in quality. Thats the risk you take. And if you do not read all the small print, well, thats your fault.

I got scammed by a German Bricklink store. Bought an expensive San Diego Comic-Con exclusive minifig and it was clearly self-printed on a blank figure, not by Lego. Seller refused to give me my money back so I had to contact my credit card company and luckily got my money back that way.
So, I just made my first order on br8ck link. Found a great deal on a complete set. But something just kinda goofy happened. I entered a shipping adress, which is my mailing adress, but for some reason, the seller asked me if I wanted him to ship to the billing adress on my paypal. Which is my mother's P.O. box, one town north. I really hope he got my message. My mom really doen't need to know I"m still buyng LEGO.
In my experience, when buying from bigger sellers you actually are taking an equal if not larger risk than if you bought from smaller sellers. The "big boys" tend to take ages to respond to complaints on orders, and when they do they may end up just saying "I'll just refund the part, no biggie", or they just ignore your messages till you go away.
Smaller stores, since they aren't bogged down with tons of orders and such, tend to get your order perfect nearly every time. If they don't, they're usually very quick to respond to complaints and will remedy the issue with not much (if any) hassle.
Remember this too: $15-$20 is a lot more to a small store than it is to a big store, hence the reason smaller stores will try so hard to fix issues ASAP while larger stores will tend to either take longer to fix issues or just ignore them all together.

As a Bricklink seller/buyer myself I agree with you regarding the complicated fees. It drives me mad when they have all these crazy tiered percentage fees. Also, I hate it when sellers say they don't charge fees yet hide their fees in the postage costs. I had a massive row with a seller once about this sneaky tactic - which is very unfair on foreign buyers who don't how much a 2nd class stamp costs! A simple, transparent, additional charge I have no problem with.
David I'm THINKING of opening my own Bricklink store. What bothers me is the " LOT DOLLAR MINIMUM" I've had to delete great orders. I've added/deleted on order to get past that window. No luck. I've contacted seller for bypass password but no luck.
I've been buying from Bricklink steadily for the last 5 or 6 years now and in that time it seems to have become a bit worse. I tend to stick to the bigger dealers on there these days as parts usually arrive clean and well packed. Cleanliness on the parts is a big deal for me - if you can't be bothered to clean used parts before selling at a profit you really shouldn't be allowed to have a shop on there. Most of my experiences have been good but I've been hit by all the things you've pointed out in this video.
Regarding the fees it is actually against PayPal's terms to charge an extra fee when accepting payment. It is also potentially against the law in the UK to operate this way. A law was passed in 2017 banning companies from charging a fee to accept credit/debit cards including linked ways of paying such as PayPal or Apple Pay. This flies under the radar a lot on Bricklink and other secondary market sites but sellers can be fined and PayPal can take action for breaching its own terms.

I also had some problems with sellers who don't show shipping prices on the main page and use "request for invoice" shipping method.
For example, I ordered four cheap battlepacks for total 60$ in Singapore store. When I received an invoice shipping price was 100 sg$ (about 75 us$). And this was for 0,4kg small parcel!!!!!. I cancelled order and wrote "too much shipping cost" in reason of cancellation. This dude left me "non paying buyer" feedback and marked my order as a "spam order". I was new to bricklink those time so then I had -1 feedback and couldn't order anithing in big good stores due to bad feedback.🤷🤦
That's *_PRECISELY_* why you really shouldn't order from Bricklink from sellers who are not from your own continent or, what is ever better yet there, your own country, if you can help it! [What is in that way, the shipping, handling and postage (stamp) fees won't be that high in cost for you.]

I've been setting up my Bricklink store, and I think they've added the option to precalculate postage so you know what you are going to pay.
Also I'm not sure that bigger sellers will always be more careful, as they would also have more orders coming through, whereas smaller stores would only get a few orders coming through allowing the owner to be more meticulous (although I may be biased)
Yes that's a change of design by Lego this a problem I sometimes do have with bricklink is that the seller doesn't know the difference sometimes the 2 slightly different bricks can even be in the same set so if a bricklink seller is parting out 100 of the same set it can be that they don't notice the difference
i recently started using brick link as i got back into lego and i’m so hyped to find the 2002-2003 phase one clones for less then like $15-$20!
So far I've only had one problem on BrickLink. A seller marked me as non-paying buyer (NPB) after the order was completed (I already got my Lego), because I gave "neutral" instead of "good" feedback. The seller and I had quite a heated discussion via private email because he didn't want to leave any traces on BrickLink, I think. Anyways, I used the BrickLink contact form, described my situation and wanted support to counteract this possibly illegal move from the seller. They just closed my ticket without a reply.

I've never had and issues with orders on bricklink other than the shipping cost can be more than the cost of the set you order once you expect to paid for me a min of $25 on a set and up. All so why is the bad cop chase set 70819 is so expensive it's the only set I have left in my lego movie set collection to get.

I’ve been buying stuff on bricklink for 5 years and only had 2 problems, the seller forgetting a piece or something, and bad packaging.
First of which a seller forgetting something is not a big deal in my experience, I’ve either gotten my money back for the thing they forgot or they’ve sent it to me afterwards free of charge!
The second, bad packing/ packaging is annoying one orders bubble mailer envelope almost tore completely up and almost lost my whole order, with a worth of $80. I’ve later contacted the seller and they’ve apologized and offer a small refund, I also asked the to upgrade the packing/ packaging. These problems are easy to stay away from if you just choose the right store and read their terms.
Not gonna lie, I thought this video was a little too critical. Most of these problems are general risks with buying anything secondhand. 9/10 times when I have a problem with being sent the wrong piece or something the seller and I are able to work something out. And it just makes sense that you’ll accidentally order things if you don’t read the item descriptions.
I’ve never bought from Bricklink because I refuse to buy something without knowing the shipping costs. The only option you have is to wait for an invoice and then the seller can ask what he wants. Not clear, not fair. I tried to contact one seller to ask for costs regarding one sealed set, never got an answer.
I prefer to pay more for some retired sets on eBay than to try to buy on Bricklink. I only imagine buying used if it’s like new or well taken care of. Also that search is ridiculous, we aren’t in 1995 no more!
As a bricklink seller I understand these issues but I really think some of the things you brought up is necessary. For example the minimum lot buy is a life savior. Imagine someone wants 150 different items and 1 of eash items. It will probably barely reach over 20$ at most and it takes 2 hours to pick and pack. Not worth the work. Also the PayPal fee is also needed. We don't know whether you are gonna place a 5$ order or a 50$ order so we need to take a PayPal fee for everyone. Although nice video, I agree with some things :)
About your slope problem at 2:00 , LEGO often change brick design slightly. For bricks that have changed design, Bricklink lists each individual design separate, as well an "undetermined" listing for people not bothered with which design they get. You probably bought from an undetermined listing on the cheap, hence why you got the 2 different designs. Or the seller was just a fool, who knows
If you want a website to manage collection or find out what sets you can build, Rebrickable is good for that.
Even has settings to ignore color or printed parts.
And alternate builds too.
The main problem I have with bricklink and haven't bought loads of Lego I want from them is the sellers who claim what they are selling is 100% complete whilst missing the figure(s) and/or instructions, stickers (applied or not doesn't matter as long as they are there) etc. I think the only thing that should be missing from a 100% complete used set is the original plastic bags
Definitely agree with you about the convoluted, tedious ordering and invoicing process, as well as the additional fees. I used to use bricklink a lot but I’m drifting back towards using eBay just for less hassle.
The search tab is just horrible, it is so frustrating when you misspell just a single word and it tells you there are no results. Also the need for invoice to get the total price you would have to pay is awful and quite unnecessary, as they could totally do what eBay does, giving you pre-fixed prices. Though I must say the prices on bricklink are way better when you compare them to eBay’s prices. Anyway sorry for the rant, great video as always, keep up the great work!
My issue is getting feedback after orders! That and inflated prices when quantity is involved. Otherwise, been pretty good to go.

1)Do a google search to find the set number (as you note google is very good), then use the set number in bricklink.
2) use peroxide to fix problems of yellow brick - common for white and grey - it is a chemical reduction the discolouration, and perxoide will remove the discolouration. Word of warning, in UK never ask for perxoide in a shop or you will get a visit from the boys in blue. white washing powder in the UK is 30% peroxide and is the best source. don't over-do-it as it will remove all the colour from the bricks and make the transparent.
3) charges : I am just a small seller - just charge postage - the rest is included in the price . Postage itself, yes this is just something you have to have an idea on, you can always ask by messaging.
4) last one I have noted is that sometimes i think that some messaging does not go through, I have asked questions and found in the end the seller had been responding and I did not get this This is a worry as i think I have lost a sale today - I have replied twice, but nothing.
I think it is an UNDERHANDED way to conduct business to lower your price so as to cultivate interest in a product, then apply charges and high postage to re-establish your profit. Many sellers do this for lego parts, and I have noted them and refuse to do business any more.

Ive never purchased from Bricklink. I find their catalogue to be great for reference, but as for actual purchases, its scattered about. Good visual reference also, but you are confirming what other buyers have said in the past. Happy building ,mate.
I had a personal experience with a colour error. I thought I had landed a coup with some very nicely priced Sand Blue 1 x 2 bricks. Turned out to be Medium Blue. Seller was excellent about it though, and offered a full refund.
First problem you're having could be somewhat related to the fact that you typed "lego" into a search box for a site devoted to Lego.

It is hard to find a good seller that sells some parts in a decent amout and quality.Also the most of the sellers are located in the ass of the world, and the shipping becomes hella expencive.Still one of the best ways of buying lego.
I bought a deadpool from a bricklink seller a few weeks ago, all there reviews were positive and it came pretty quick only problem was that the head was fake. It was my first time using bricklink and truthfully it has scared me away from the site.
Good points in your video. I still consider myself "new" to bricklink. Though I've placed over 50 orders over the last year, so I've a decent amount of experience. I have to say, overall, I've had REALLY good luck with sellers. Usually everything is right, and when it's not, sellers usually make it right. I did have two small issues with recent orders...one minifigure had the wrong head, fortunately the seller had another of the same figure and she's shipping me the replacement. Another seller had forgotten to include some gold tiles I ordered and when I checked he sent them and I had them two days later.
It's always a little disappointing when a seller doesn't have a part they advertised, because I usually plan my orders very strategically to get all the parts I need as cheaply as possible. But I understand, when dealing sometimes with very large inventories, it's going to happen. I REALLY appreciate when they let me know asap that they don't have the part...much like you say, the cost is usually so minimal, I don't really care about that aspect. Mostly I just want to know, so I can get the part on a subsequent order asap.
I recently had ordered 3 of a part I needed to complete a set, and when it arrived it only had 2 and had a note that one was missing and I think a refund was issued (though I never actually check that the few cents refunds go through). I wrote a nice comment to him to let him know I would have appreciated knowing as soon as he realized, so I could have likely ordered the part on a future order that I had already made a few of after that order. He said he didn't do that because he didn't want to wait to hear back from the buyer. I thought that was pretty bad and as a buyer, I REALLY would love any seller to just let me know asap if something is going to be missing, so I can make other arrangements to get the needed part. Usually the cost of the part isn't an issue, it's trying to minimize the number of shipments to save as much as possible on shipping.
I'd say overall, I've been pretty pleased...as long as their is good communication is going on, I'm going to be happy as a buyer.
I do have one order that I placed about a week ago that is still just listed as "paid". I'm giving it a little longer before I check in with the seller. I think I had that once and the item just showed up never being marked as shipped...so that might be the case.
One thing about color variations...with the light gray and dark gray, they switched to light bluish gray and dark bluish gray in the early/mid 2000s. I find that the older grays look sort of yellowed in comparison to the new...so could be a case of getting the older shade of grays. I just sorted a tub of LEGO today/last night that had about 10-15% of the older grays, that I sorted separately. Also, they switched from brown to reddish brown at some point. I'd say some sellers probably aren't savvy enough to sort that (like you say, bigger sellers will be better)...and also, some older LEGOs definitely do yellow...so could be that too. If I'm building a complete set or personal custom set, I'll stick to new parts (mostly at least). If I'm completing an older set, then I'll take my chances with used pieces. I did get a little burned recently buying an older star wars minifigure...there was no special notes about the condition, but when I got it the cape was badly discolored and creased. It's disappointing, because a replacement cape will cost close to the price of the figure. But really that's the only significant condition issue I had. I think I had one medium brown plate had a bad scratch that looked pretty bad, but I had ended up getting one in a used tub of LEGO I bought.
Anyway, this has gotten REALLY long haha...but mostly just thought I'd say thanks for your video and share a few experience I've had over the past several months.

I think most of the "problems" you listed are not unique to Bricklink, but inherent to any 2nd hand market. You have to already be in the mindset to deal with variety of sellers, just like you would be buying stuff from Craigslist or eBay, etc. I do agree that Bricklink's search could be improved, however.
Just within the past day or so, I placed an order on Bricklink for over $100 in parts. When I got the invoice, there was a shipping charge and two "additional charges." One of those additional charges was more than the cost of the parts! And that was in addition to the shipping fee and another additional charge for a few dollars.
Needless to say, I have requested a cancellation. I just requested it earlier today. Hopefully there won't be a problem canceling the order. But there is NO WAY that I'm going to go forward with this order with the total between the shipping and added fees being just shy of 1.5 times the amount of the parts.
Bricks go yellow because of a component of the old plastic. Now it doesn't happen anymore. And slopes has thicker anti studs because it was a old design
It takes little time to review your cart about item description of used items. Feedback is a great indication if you should buy from a seller. Yes I have placed over 800 orders on BL and find 1 of 5 have problems. Rarely have had issue getting refund. Yes added fees suck. I never charge fees and never overcharge shipping.
I've had very good experiences with used parts that are from afols' own collections. The used parts from more "commercial" sellers though come from anywhere, may have been tumbled in a washing machine, have threading of the plastic, feel more brittle, etc.
I find that being from australia it can be quite difficult.to find everything you want which sucks because getting parts shipped from overseas to Australia is generally super expensive

I haven't had any problems with Bricklink, all sellers have been very nice and if there is something wrong, all of them have tried and solve the issue as quick as possible with either refund or sending the missing parts.
One thing that do annoy me are all the extra fees that some sellers have, like if you are using paypal there is x% extra on your order, or packing fees. And very expensive shipping. But other than that there are no problems with bricklink
Don't agree with the big sellers recommendation. In my experience they make more mistakes, are quite expensive and the communication can be worse than smaller or beginning shops. There are exceptions of course. Just pay atention to the feedback. But big thumbs up for the search engine complaint, it always takes a few tries to get the dimensions for slopes etc exactly right.

I only ever bought two things from BrickLink, only one of them had a missing piece. Both transactions were kinda complicated because it was my first time using it. But for individual pieces, I check to see if Lego's Pick-A-Brick has them and order them from there.
I have ordered a fair bit off bricklink and never had any issues of note. I have had a few dirty bricks but they cleaned up fine and the description said used.
If having any discoloured bricks is going to be an issue, best order from Lego direct although you often will pay more but guaranteed brand new parts.
Agreed you need to be wary of fees but its a simple enough to make sure you dont get caught out.

I personally always stick with new bricks when ordering on Bricklink because I will be using them near existing sets I own that are not that old. The items that are missing something is indeed a problem and I would like to see an option that Bricklink would show you only complete sets or items and they could solve that with just an extra checkbox.
The postal fees are indeed a bit of a hit and miss but with all the countries you can order from it is what it is for now. Still I'm happy that there is a site like this because it helped many LEGO fans a lot to find something that wasn't available anymore from other sources.
I've been purchasing Lego bricks on Bricklink for about a year. Until this month my orders have all been in the range of about £5 to £20 and I have been very satisfied with the 8 or so orders that I placed. However this month I'm building an updated design of one of the Lego Modular buildings requiring the purchase of about 2000 bricks for a cost over 3 orders and sellers of about £200. What has disappointed me is the standard of some of the used bricks supplied with wrong part supplied, severe discolouration, physical damage and contamination all issues. So I raised these quality issues with two sellers (the actually amount for the parts was less than £1 in each case). One of the two (who has a TH-cam channel) immediately refunded me but the other has pulled the angle that his terms and conditions in his view allow him to ship defective bricks. For my next order it will be new bricks only!
Yes it does have its faults, particularly around its 'dated' interface but even that continues to improve. The best thing about buying Lego from bricklink is that most of the sellers are Lego experts and often have a passion for the products they sell. I've only really had two mishaps on bricklink, once the wrong length Lego string was delivered, but the seller was more than happy to provide the correct string, and once I was caught out by expensive postage costs from abroad. Completely my fault, but a lesson learned.
I'd like to point out something, there are actually two different families of grey that Lego uses for bricks. And even brand new the Gray family looks considerably yellow compared to the Bluish Gray family.
If memory serves one grey is actually called "Star Wars grey" from the first Star Wars sets released.
Sellers should try to list their parts correctly and pay attention to variants as much as possible. It is called being professional. But on the flip side it is no fun dealing with variant snobs either. I have had people use this to get free stuff from time to time.
Just bought some stuff on bricklink order 14 2x3 bricks and got 5 ordered 1x8 Technic brick didn't get it and as I only bought 50 ish parts didn't seem like human error was to blame but with how many pieces I bought wasn't worth my time to get the missing pieces, yes I checked my order 3 times

The missing items issue can be a huge one, depending on how the seller handles it.
I recently pieced together a set, and ended up having to buy from multiple suppliers.
Two of the orders had problems; one had a piece missing, and another one had a fake lego piece in it.
I can totally understand both of these - things like this are inevitably going to happen from time to time.
The difference was how the sellers handled them.
The one with the fake piece apologized profusely and immediately mailed out a replacement at no charge.
The seller who missed a piece just refunded me for that one piece, like $0.25 or something trivial.
I couldn't finish my model without that piece, and I didn't need any other pieces at that time, so I didn't have any other orders to tack the missing part onto.
Because of this, I had to place an order with a different seller for just that one $0.25 piece, and pay about $5 shipping on it.
There should be some type of system to prevent sellers from screwing buyers like this.

Yes, I only buy new lego on line, and sometimes used lego if I can see it before I buy. The trouble for me is the time spent sorting and cleaning used lego isn't worth the saving... Mostly.

I have only run into one problem when I ordered from bricklink. I found a lot on the dotted mouth grill clones from a limited edition set for cheap there were 3 but the seller found another one so I got four clones. I received them and what I got was upsetting. Two out of four clones had the wrong torso. The torso was an exclusive print and the wrong torsos were an updated version that occur in LEGO clones today. I contacted the seller and he sent the torsos. That was resolved and I was pondering why the seller sent the wrong torsos and they are not that similar.
I'm a minifigure kind of guy, so I don't know any sellers that'd have a wide variety of minifigures to buy. I really want to buy from bricklink, but I honestly have no clue what to do. I am very confused on how to begin, but mostly i'm wondering if the quantity is related to the price. Heres an example, If a brick has a quantity of 2, and a price of three dollars, is it two pieces for three dollars or two pieces for six dollars? It's all very intimidating and I'm tempted to just not use it at all. That conclusion really restricts my options of buying bricks to just purchasing from lego.com, or ebay.
Check the year and item number on those 2 bricks that aren't the same
I used ‘auto select’ to buy a load of bricks to complete a set. Part of the order was the instructions. When it arrived there was only one book out of the three needed to build the model. I checked and it was in the seller’s description, my error.
My biggest disappointment with brick link is sets with incorrect parts even though they say 100% correct. I collect Town and Space Lego so it is a pain.

I try to only buy new on bricklink but the few times I went used I wasn’t disappointed.
Your comment on the grey bricks brings up the question did you order "Light bluish grey" parts or "light grey"? "Light grey" is a pre 2007 colour that definitely has a yellowish/brownish/tannish tint to it vs the new bluish grey or "bley". Next to each other they are indeed strikingly different.
I buy only from stores from my country with bank transfer cause i dont have paypal so i dont even need search i just go through 30 stores in my country (16 of them have more than 10 k in inventory) and i always find everything i need,postage is bubbled envelope that costs less than 3 $ if i need just a part i tend to order cool sw minifig with it even if its a single mandalorian trooper.I rebuilt my 2007 mtt this month,build 6 staps from nothing and build 2017 aat from nothing.I only received 1 bad brick and it was for my seventh stap that i didnt end up building,part cost less than 15 cents and later on i found 2 in my lego box anyway

Light grey and white bricks can be brought back to near new using 3% hydrogen peroxide and a bit of sunlight.

Do you have legs? I've never seen your legs.....hmmm.. if you put yellowed bricks in peroxide and expose to uv light for a few hours it restores them. Works on old trans colors too.

Calculating postage in advance is basically impossible - AusPost want to know the weight, physical size and destination before they'll tell me the price. So I have to assemble an order and find a box that fits it before I can even guess. I've had people order one or two parts that just can't be packed sensibly so they end up getting 40g of Lego in a 150g box and since I charge actual postage that costs them way more than the Lego. A day later someone will order 5kg of second hand sets and say "yep, just bung the bags in a box" which ends up being 200g... the overhead is much less for me, and the postage cost is quite reasonable. Then unfortunately Paypal charge me some complex amount so I look that up and add it on, plus the Briclink fee and then I just have to hope that my scales and ruler match whatever the post office is doing on the day (I have had to ask them to take other things off the scale, and redo measurements).
Buyers are already getting free labour, expecting me to cover all the little fees just means I'll have to put prices up, sales will crater and I'll stop selling. One of the core problems with the reverse-auction nature of Bricklink is that it's a crude race to the bottom for sellers.
Hi! I have a question...when I buy a minifigure on Bricklink is it possible to receive a not perfect minifigure, even if the description says that it is perfect? Another question...if I buy a NEW minifigure it has to be always in perfect conditions, right?
Lego often changes design of bricks, it's ok. I have many examples of changes. Once i got two different design 1x2 grilles in one set from 2007
I just go to bricks and pieces or pick a brick when I can.

Sorry to say but some bricks on brick link are 3D printed. If your brick isn't like the other one it probably was 3D printed. Or it potentially is just an old brick.

What about Brick Owl? I’ve used that, bit more expensive but haven’t have anything bad quality from the sellers there.

Yeah I buy from the actual lego pick-a-brick store when I can. I just use Brinklink for things that Lego isn't selling currently. I haven't had any issues with Bricklink though - I stick with the massive stores and I've had great success getting out of print parts. I don't think I'd buy minifigs from there - I use eBay for that to get sealed / new figs.
But that doesn’t have old LEGO and classic clones. It has new shit!
That site can be pretty expensive for bulk parts, though.
I look for the set that has the so-called rare part and just order as much as I need I don't understand why builders buy sets as part packs a go all gooey eyed because a mid priced set had 4 parts in it that they don't have, just buy up to 200 of them on bricks and pieces.
