- A Mom of six day in the life during lockdown. We're typically home anyways, but we're FEELING it and miss our beautiful community and at one point I escape for a trip into town for an "essential". It's tax season and that's a beast for the self-employed, homeschool must go on and daily routines need to stay normal. I'm keep the family healthy, TRYING to wash my hair and give everyone extra hugs and kisses. Stay tuned.

Thank you Annie. I do love being at home and not going anywhere. As things have gone on though.....it’s been a bit more difficult . My friend described it as a malaise. The world is so violent now...and I slip in and out of depression but I am the most grateful person on the planet. I never take one tiny thing for granted. However...I still have the flowers and the wonderful birds...and my two babies with whom I share this home...my cats Ollie and Puddy. I’m hoping to get to see snow fall this winter. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ and I hope you’re doing well and dealing with the “pandemic” ok. . 💕💗

I see comments all over the internet..things like, "I grazed a cashier's bare hand by accident in the store and it was exhilarating" ...we're past the point of a peaceful break. I enjoy it in my rural town, but others in big cities suffer and are lonely.😞
Okay. This one made me cry 😭 I’ve been laying down all my fear at the feet of Jesus every evening when I go on my 2 mile walk. And I’ve been seeing life bloom... or as you put it... life PRESS ON... on every new bud on the branches, every new flower popping up I. The forest around me. And when you spoke of that, I legit got the chills. 😭♥️ and seeing your beautiful family and knowing my beautiful family comforted my soul and brought me GREAT JOY!!! Thank you for this video! Oh man, I’m not going to lie, this made me cry. The shot when your daughter is picking a flower with her precious chipped nail polish made me start, because one of my friends lost her two year old daughter (the little girl was also my daughters friend) last month; she was hit by a car in a parking lot (while they were holding hands on a crosswalk). She was buried with her sweet chipped nail polish because she loved it so much. I have three daughters (4, 2, & 5m) and the 2yo has been giving me so much grief lately; she got in trouble right before she went to bed, and I lost my temper with her. I hate having her go to sleep when the last thing she remembers is frustration. Anyway, I’m rambling now. I just wanted to say thank you for pointing out how trying and wonderful life with family can be. It truly is such a gift!!! Loving the channel and the podcast! You guys are the best. Also, what book of prayers were you reading in the end? I love it! I used to live in Scotland, and we would say our liturgy three times a day at meals and in the morning, and it’s something I’ll always cherish!

I am 8 months pregnant and filled with fear for my loved ones. My husband works mainly alone but he still has to go in the world everyday. I try not to drown in my emotions, focusing on the precious moments happening all the time at home, like being grateful to hear both my man and son snoring right now. Your mindset is right on: This is an opportunity to relish all the family time you, your husband, and your kids now get to have. It's a bit like the way agricultural life was 100 years ago and before when family farming was preeminent. Members were nearly always constantly together doing what was necessary to insure their familial/economic unit was prospering. We are in the same sort of place today, leaning upon each other in an effort to stay healthy and keep the home fires burning - and together, despite the situation, we can still create beautiful memories.

I am blessed every day. When I am struggling I pray to “ wait on Jesus”. I still get anxious and then am sad I didn’t WAIT as I ALWAYS get My answers. The hymn Take it to the Lord in Pray is what I sing a lot. Like you I miss church so so much. 💐🙏
I think this time has made us have greater appreciation for what is important. This weekend all the snow melted and an added inch of rain created some flooding. My goat pens needed immediate attention and I noticed my milk goat pushing away her 3 kids. So I'm bottle feeding. I have a lot of time for reflection caring for her needs and theirs. This could all be so overwhelming but I'm finding I'm more thankful for the simple things. The ones we usually take for granted. Caring for others is what is going to help us get through all the unknowns. Breathing deeply and being thankful that we can. Praying for those who are having difficulty. Reflecting on what a gift life is and thanking the One who gave it to us. Thank you for sharing with us Angela.
I think it is easier knowing that all activities are cancelled. It is like we aren't missing anything because it isn't happening anyway. We homeschool, but with two high schoolers we weren't home much. This is a huge adjustment for everyone.

I share your emotional sentiment about those precious snowdrops that poked through the frozen ground. I am in the greater Seattle area, and last fall I planted 80 or so tulips and daffodils in my front yard. Boy oh boy, did I share the same emotional response seeing their little, green spikes greet me this month. We are going to get through this. This episode is exactly what I needed to watch tonight. My family just uprooted and moved to the UK a month ago, and are in the midst of another month long lockdown - it's easy to focus on all of the negative feelings of homesickness, quarantine, just learning how to live every day in another country, but this video gave me such a glimpse of true perspective - not just superficial "thankfulness" for where we are, but a genuine appreciation for those simple things we overlook so easily through the hardships that come with every day. Thank you for offering such an intimate and real view into your day, it truly gave me a positive outlook on the rest of the week!

I am liking the “staying in place” here in Wisconsin. I am enjoying the quietness of our surroundings. I can hear the birds singing, the rain coming down, there is seldom a car driving down the road, and I seem to be taking the time to notice flowers starting to bloom and the trees budding, squirrels are actively darting from tree to tree, and lots of people are out walking with their dogs. The quietness of the world is calming. Talking with other homeschooling families they too say, “ This isn’t really any different than what we usually do as stay at home schoolers.” They express that it is hard to put your finger on it. I think it has to do with it being mandatory and not your choice. Beautiful snowdrops and love your short hair-

Being vulnerable and honest about ones feelings helps others. It's now Dec 10th here in Washington State and our Governor extended the lock down until the first week in January. I was so angry, I can't tell you. Watching business in our little town struggleing and now this is so hard. We are retired and are home a lot anyway. But the eating in a nice restuarant is difficult having to go without. I know I will get thru this and I know other things are coming my way because Christ is in my life and giving everyday, and all of it to Him keeps me sane. Otherwise I would really be in a world of hurt emotionally. I don't know what your state is doing right now, I have not followed it. But may we all find solace in His love for us and help us find our new direction every day with Him. Blessings, glenda

Junior is a precious little guy giving you big hugs When you stop to think about what’s going on... I always go to the families in parts of the world who don’t have a home or food.. who literally lay on the ground and eat dirt ... we are blessed. You are so blessed to have all those beautiful children. There is lots of giggling and activity in your house ... so sweet to see. Don’t you think even though you stay at home a lot and home school it’s when you feel forced to you don’t want to stay home . Stay strong everyone... we will get through it. God is with us. Give your cares to Him. Stay well ♥️🙏🏻
TheRayjane I keep reminding my kids of what they know of the Blitz and other tragic times... and families on dirt floors with scorpions. My 14 year old told one of his siblings the other day they live like the top 3% of the population. So perhaps something I’m saying is getting through:)
