- Necessity is the mother of this Momma's invention! This is my creative quarantine with just a 60 dollar makeover... et voila! Mom's NEW office! In this episode of Everyday Château, we continue with our five-year farmhouse renovation and we're moving my office CLICK SHOW MORE......... out of the greenhouse and into its own space off our bedroom. The problem is, we can't do ANY shopping aside from some paint picked up curbside outside the hardware store because we are "safe at home". Not being one to take "no" for an answer I decide it's time to go thrifting and antiquing in my own home.

Hi Angela! I'm a new viewer and was so inspired by this piece that I watched it twice this morning. I'm so restless in quarantine after the weeks we've had - my friends are all baking, eating, talking on zoom or FaceTime and watching movies. I am sewing surgical caps, walking, practising the piano and working hard to manage my mind. I loved hearing you say that without thrifting, antiquing and creating, you feel a little crazy. I am that person. We live in a charming but ancient fourth-floor walk-up rented apartment in Vancouver and have decluttered ourselves to the absolute bare bones to fit in here after a sprawling life in the suburbs. I have no stash to shop from so I've paced and pondered, moved things and put them back ad nauseam the last few weeks. Also, our friends have all jumped on the contemporary bandwagon with chrome and glass and empty sparse spaces in their homes and I'm still in love with what I called "shabby chic" or "farmhouse" until I saw your Parisienne style. I'm an anomaly among my peers and, much as I sorta don't mind, it's really fun to run across a kindred spirit. Thank you. I can only imagine how hard you work and how passionate you must be to keep loving all that you do. (Also, I loved your outtakes! How you keep calmly talking and staying on task with all the hubbub bouncing around you is a gift. You could be on television -- even our newscasters have lately started to stumble over words and make errors as they talk about COVID, COVID, COVID incessantly for an hour.) Angela your office is absolutely stunning. So cozy... a nice place to sit in that chair near the window and read with a cup of tea. I also have Revere Pewter and Balboa Mist in my House!!!! I had to laugh you hang pictures like I do. Hold it up and then put your finger where you want the nail . I always have to tell you how beautiful your skin is and I really love your bob and how you have styled it..... your skin is perfection even without makeup. Thank you for the beautiful video❤️

I loved this video. Now that I am working from home, I agree it is important to get dressed each day, comb your hair and put on your makeup. It is easy to slip into sloppiness. I also love shopping in your house to make your office special. I especially love the rug, and mirror you got from the previous owner, good price. You hang pictures as I do. :) Enjoy your new space.

I still have all these amazing projects in my head but they don’t get done as quickly (or at all)! I start painting and what used to take 1 Day now takes four or more, rest times and heating pads! I now have my daughter home from college. It was important for her to have some sort of control over her world so she made over her highschool girl bedroom with things she had been using in her dorm. In came the Keurig, the twinkle lights and fluffy rug. Whatever it takes to feel safe and cozy in these trying times.

I watched this while repainting my living room. ☺️ I love cottage style, so I definitely find some crossover in the decor you love too. I have vintage music up in my living room attached to clipboards. I also use old wooden puzzle boxes to display some vintage paper butterflies- I’m all about shopping the house. I like the fact that you aren't afraid to grab a deal even though you will not use it for several years.....that's what I call "vision" I'm lucky to have a basement to stash stuff (treasures) I just snagged an antique bed for $25. at Good Will. I wasn't even planning on getting it, but it was 50% off day and my son was there with his truck so it was fate!
My heart dropped at first when the video did not begin with your familiar intro! I almost did not continue watching as I feared as with many youtubers , once they are established, change their format. Not to worry, your intro, which is one of my favorite anticipations of what surprises will come, was there. With this said: I loved, loved the office. You have natural talent ! 5 stars and many thumbs up! And, as you suggest, make sure we don't end up in sweats all day. I have to confess I was headed in this direction but it's important to keep to our routines as much as possible. Dreaming of your David Austin Rose's! It's snowing hard here where I am. I’m so glad I clicked on this video! I have a room off my kitchen that we call “the maid’s room”. It has had several lives and is currently a very large pantry/butler’s pantry. I need to figure out an office space for next few months and realized I could do some arranging and cleaning and source from my own home!
