The Hellcat and Echelon are super accurate pistols. I believe its because of the tight barrel tolerances. The Springfields made in Croatia are built like a tank.
I love both of my springfields! I have a XD40 Service model from back in the day. Think still shoots like great! Now I have a hellcat pro and I've got a swampfox green dot on it and i love it!
It also helped that they just plain shoot slower with the H11. I honestly would love to see them use a timer like the one from SG and publish their split times. At the least, they could set a standard, and then try to meet it under pressure.
Agree, my XDS 9mm was a laser. Grip feel, trigger, reliability, and mag capacity a different story but those were early adopter days for the micro lineups. Shot a Hellcat Pro the other day and trigger was stiff was my only complaint. Shot very accurately.

As far as comps go, I have compared the Spectre and AXG side by side. The benefit of the comp was not noticeable for me with range ammo, but with HST +P 124 grain loads, the comp definitely reduced muzzle flip. Price point, optic compatibility, modularity, and after market support are all considerations. It is great that there are so many choice in the market today.

I actually compared the original Hellcat to the 365 when looking for a carry sized gun. I didn't like the trigger at all on the original but the 365 was way too small for me. The associate at the range suggested the 365X macro as it had the larger grip and decided to go with it. Has been an awesome gun since I bought it and I do not regret my decision at all. My daily carry is an SA Hellcat Pro. I looked at both guns and loved the grip on the Sig better, but I went with the Hellcat due to the price. I am very glad I did. I have the Hellcat Pro that I have fired 1400 rounds from it. For me the gun is perfection. Trigger is fantastic. Hellcat grip is the best grip on any gun I've ever had. T
I feel like the hellcat rdp just gets forgotten. You get the same length barrel with comp. And you can adjust how big grip you want from 11 round mags to 13 to 15. All you need to do is get a better red dot and the rdp is a forgotten gem.
Honestly, skip the comp version and just get a regular X Macro. Or if you’re intent on spending the extra bit of cash, get the tacops version which has a few nicer features than the base model. But as someone who’s owned both versions, the comp version is not worth the money or the gimmick of having a built in comp. I have 4 5 + ish pistols. Both of the originals for the sig 365 & Hellcat. The 365 even with Talon grips is still on the small size, for me. The Hellcat feels more like a full size with a 15 round mag. The sig feels weird with a 15 round mag. They both are pretty nice pistols. Most of the time I carry a G27 or a G43. I suggest everyone buy as many carry guns as possible and see what they like the best.
I just got mine and even getting 200 rounds through mine made a noticeable difference... I might still change it to an APEX or MCarbo but I'm hesitant to modify a gun I intend to use for carry
Or you can do what I did over the years and convert a gen1 P365 to be the ultimate, migrated to a flat faced trigger when it became available and just recently migrated to a replacement compensated slide from Sig and can carry with the original 10round mag, 11 counting the chamber and my spare mags are the 17round mags. LOVE the P365!
Not knocking on the Hellcat but if you notice... They shot the Sig at a faster rate than the Springfield. They shot at a slower rate with the springfield which equals to getting back on target a lot better. Probably had to do with the heavier trigger.
Have both Macros. All the Hellcats. I’m finishing last 1000 rounds tomorrow out of 2000 already down range on Hellcat Pro Comp. It wins the prize for carry. No malfunctions. Sig has had a few issues on both models.
Just got a Hellcat Pro and was really happy with how great my grouping was from the first 10 rounds. The ergonomics are great. It just feels so good in my hands and the magazine release is easy to operate and the mags just pop out. Fantastic firearm!
Got my pro comp 2 weeks ago. I feel like I’m driving tacks from 10m. Tossed a gas pedal and dpm spring on it and accuracy stayed the same but shooting speed improved. I’ll still carry my pro comp threaded for EDC (threaded has 4.5in length vs 3.7). Just because if I have to use this thing in a melee I’d rather my beard not catch on fire when my head is over the port 🎉😂. That said, I do not regret buying it one bit. And the ported comp is better than the threaded comp sold by Springfield considerably.
Super informative video, for sure! A must see for anyone that's trying to decide which pistol to carry. Also...the sexual tension between them two is through the roof! 🥵 😂😂😂
No, the rifling length is probably about the same as the P365 due to boring out about a half inch on the HC. I have both and at 21yds of 2 - 5 shot groups. The HC was about an inch less for both groups. IDK if the Sig is capable of 2.5” groups at 25. Maybe with the perfect load, but I know the HC is capable of 2.5” at 25. Honestly I think Springfield might make the most accurate barrels for plastic guns. My 4.5” XDM has shot the best 50yrd groups so far. Better than P320, VP9, Steyr M9, a bunch of Glocks including a G34 with 3 different barrels, Canik, Sar9, M&P 4.25 2.0 performance & probably a couple more that I’ve owned.
Great video. Just sharing an observation. There's only one thing that I feel that impacts this comparison's results when looking at it from an analysts perspective: The results do show a tighter group with the Hellcat, but I notice that when they shoot the macro, in most instances they shot it at a faster rate than the hellcat (roughly 25-30% faster). Shooting the Macro faster would likely result in the wider group. If they took the same time between shots with the macro as the hellcat, I'd be very interested in those findings.
Hellcat is a better gun, shoots better, more velocity, same capacity, easier carry, better reliability ( I own both ) and it’s about 150-200 bucks cheaper it’s really a simple choice if you guys can’t decide
I have the hellcat pro with threaded barrel, I added the Harrington arms compensator, mcarbro trigger with titanium striker and this thing shoots fantastic! better than the new integrated comp version I also have as well..😊
I'm all for all the different models the industry can produce but have we forgotten how we got here? It's entertaining: we walked downsize from full sized to compact to sub compacts and then micro 9's all the way to the ultra micro DB9! Then we walked up from the 10 round micros one or two rounds at a time all the way back to the G19 15 round and now the 17 round G17! Don't get me wrong, I prefer the smaller grip and width Hellcat, P365, and G43x models over their thicker counterparts. Just pick the one that best fits your hand AND your pocket. Um, that would be the Ruger LCP 380 for me! 😛
Good thing the sig is modular… I put a regular p365 grip with my macro components so now got ultra compacts, comp, 10 rd flush and can still use the 17rd as backup.
I have about every 365 that sig has to offer (except the ROSE) I LOVE THE GUNS BUT TEN TOSHOUT LEFT AND LOW TRIGGER PULL IS ALITTLE HEAVY FOR ME ANY HELP WITH THIS WOULD BE APPRECIATED
I still have yet to hold a p365 macro. The hellcat pro was the very first gun put in my hands when I started looking for my first pistol a month ago. It still sticks in my head as that it felt really good in hand. Granted I am probably getting a full size frame compact pistol along the lines of a cz p10c. But once I'm more familiar with guns and take some classes, one of these 2 guns will be the gun that I carry.
I'm a Hellcat owner with P envy, that is P365. But after comparing the standard/original Hellcat and P365 side by side, twice, I preferred the sights (!), the trigger, and the fit of the Hellcat. I then took my Hellcat in for comparison the first several times they came out with a new model and I preferred the original, smallest lightest version. It's the best for CC, duh. If I'm going to go to a G19 sized profile, I'm gonna carry my G43x with the 15 round shield magazines.
I seen that flickering in the Hex red dots right away. Then they started using the Smsc and I don’t see it at all! I feel the shield red dots are some of the nicest out there.
I think an overlooked part when talking about the grip length is the ability to replace the entire grip module of the sig for very cheap, just like you would need to buy the extended mag for the hellcat. There's obviously still a pro in being able to carry a flush fit and an extended as backup, but just something to consider
I have carried the P365XL for years. I wasnt even looking for a gun, but picked this up at my gun store, and fell in love immediately. For me, its as close to perfect as you can get. I was blown away at the size and ergonomics. I hope I dont jinx it, but it has never jammed in thousands of rounds
A great comparison video. As James said at the start, even before shooting, "these guns will be comparable. " James and Kaya together are golden. I consider James Reeves to be the absolute authority on micro compacts....he didn't knock the Hellcat. That says a lot.
I have the Hellcat Pro and after shooting it side by side with the Sig 365 X Macro i literally couldnt find enough difference to say one or the other were better so i went to pricepoint and that was the only reason
One thing to mention is magazines for sig is 60 bucks. Springfield’s are just over 40. I have the macro. I maybe have 500 rounds through it. Today I had my first malfunction with this gun but it really bothered me. Wondering if anyone else has experience with reliability on the hellcat.
I bought a p365 years ago and I had the 15rd mags I got an xl grip with my 15rd mags still work and I also got the comp slide and the new romeo x and it is an amazing pair like they said with the hellcat you can choose 15 or 17 if you have the xl grip you get the same choice
I would like to see you 2 shoot the springfield with the 15 rd mag versus the Sig with the 17 rd mag, since you gave the Springfield points for being more compact and versatile. Its not apples to apples until you compare the 2 of them in the configuration that most people will carry them in.
I have the Hellcat OSP, to which I added the threaded barrel and comp. My brother has the P365XL. They both perform very well. The Hellcat feels better in my hands. My brother, and my wife, prefer the feel of the Sig.

LOVE the P365!
By the way not trying to insinuate that I have anywhere near the experience either one of you have.
James and Kaya are the bromance we never knew we needed.
Not knocking on the Hellcat but if you notice... They shot the Sig at a faster rate than the Springfield. They shot at a slower rate with the springfield which equals to getting back on target a lot better. Probably had to do with the heavier trigger.
Thanks, let’s not forget the hellcat had a more sighted in sight, the 365’s sight was off stated by both!
The Hellcat was slower, because they both had a problem focusing with the varying dot brightness.
I shot my hellcat micro recently and if you use the reset just right fires fast but haven't shot sig yet
Well that and they both use the 365s a lot so they are more confident shooting it, therefore shooting it faster…
Have both Macros. All the Hellcats. I’m finishing last 1000 rounds tomorrow out of 2000 already down range on Hellcat Pro Comp. It wins the prize for carry. No malfunctions. Sig has had a few issues on both models.
Honestly not surprised. The hellcats reliability is insane.
Never had a malfunction with any of my sigs. Can't say the same with the hellcats. I just don't trust them for reliability.
@@xtreme4stringbass You seen the videos? Sigs malfunction all the time , you must be in a different dimension .
@@extraordinarywolf320 not 365s.
@@xtreme4stringbass have you shot the hellcats? nobody has had issues with them. 365s definitely have malfunctions.
Just got a Hellcat Pro and was really happy with how great my grouping was from the first 10 rounds. The ergonomics are great. It just feels so good in my hands and the magazine release is easy to operate and the mags just pop out. Fantastic firearm!
Great vid. Appreciate watching both of you guys and the comparison choice here was exactly what I was looking for.
My favorite part of this video is Kaya's ability to stay focused while sitting right next to James's perfect legs.
You guys are perfect, in terms of craziness, realness, newness and everything in ness. I love your channel, it’s all about reality… keep it up!!
Super informative video, for sure! A must see for anyone that's trying to decide which pistol to carry.
Also...the sexual tension between them two is through the roof! 🥵
😂😂😂
I feel James classed up the joint.
Good stuff. Something about men bickering while shooting guns makes me giggle like watching a buddy cop movie. Good video.
I love my p365. Had to get a mag extension just to hold the thing, but aside from that, it's a great gun.
Barrel longer on the Hellcat? Could be why it shot tighter groups.
There's only one thing that I feel that impacts this comparison's results when looking at it from an analysts perspective:
The results do show a tighter group with the Hellcat, but I notice that when they shoot the macro, in most instances they shot it at a faster rate than the hellcat (roughly 25-30% faster). Shooting the Macro faster would likely result in the wider group. If they took the same time between shots with the macro as the hellcat, I'd be very interested in those findings.
You also get a longer barrel with the pro comp vs the SIG. 3.1 for the SIG and 3.7 with the hellcat pro comp.
Makes me more assured of my recent purchase of a Hellcat Micro...nice comparison of two great products.
Hellcat is a better gun, shoots better, more velocity, same capacity, easier carry, better reliability ( I own both ) and it’s about 150-200 bucks cheaper it’s really a simple choice if you guys can’t decide
I own both too lol
Plus the modularity of the hellcat, wait there is none. The smell cat fails.
@@xtreme4stringbass lol real mature
@@carsonnguyen4423 and better that cat manure
@@xtreme4stringbass learn some grammar and correct English 😎
My hellcat pro comp came with a red dot mounted plus 5 mags and a range bag. It has one 15rd mag and four 17rd mags!!!
I'm in ca and jealous of your mag capacity...
Both are excellent guns. I chose the Hellcat simply because it was more comfortable in my hand.
Th radian afterburner is the way to go, get the macro grip, the short 365 slide and add the afterburner barrel comp combo. Perfect setup
Sounds fancy
I ordered the Radian for the 365 in April, still waiting...
@@tomwest5083 ouch
Didn't even know Radian made an afterburner for the 365 model.
Still haven't gotten one for my G19.
Thx for the info.👍🇺🇲💪🎯
now get the radian grip module with magwell for it!!!! Complete game changer!! worth every penny!
Need more with yous guys.
Educational and also funny. Currently considering both of these so appreciated the side by side comparison from two professionals.
Dropped a holosun SCS carry on my hellkitty and I’ve been carrying that over my XMacro lately
Maybe the 3.1 barrel vs. the 3.7 inch barrel made the difference.?
I would say its due to the slightly longer barrel on the hellcat. Its a 3.7" vs 3.1"
Kaya: But mines aren't tight like yours.
James: But they will be.....😂😂
I seen that flickering in the Hex red dots right away. Then they started using the Smsc and I don’t see it at all!
I feel the shield red dots are some of the nicest out there.
Love this duo. Let's compare the top 2 shotguns 😉
I think an overlooked part when talking about the grip length is the ability to replace the entire grip module of the sig for very cheap, just like you would need to buy the extended mag for the hellcat. There's obviously still a pro in being able to carry a flush fit and an extended as backup, but just something to consider
Hellcat Grip is perfection to begin with so no reason to change it.
I EDC the 365xl and love it. Plans on buying a Hellcat Pro for, "because I can."
Great video guys.
I added an Icarus Precision grip module + PMM comp to mine. NOW it’s perfect, lol
Glad you posted this. I am considering a Hellcat Pro, but will look at the 365X. Happy shooting.
I put the empire katana flared magwell on mine and a true precision micro comp. Bro its perfect
There’s nothing that fits my hand like an XMacro.
Both seem like great pistols.
Going to have to go back and check time stamps, but there's a guess that the rounds were fired quicker with the Sig.
James needed to give Kaya the real Louisiana man shorts. 😂
I have a Holosun 507 on one of my pistols, an EPS carry on my SIG and a Vortex Defender on my Hellcat Pro. What optics do you guys prefer?
P365 X Macro has a 3.1" barrel while the Hellcat Pro Comp has a 3.7" barrel which will inherently give better accuracy
Love my Hellcat Pro threaded barrel w/ Holosun EPS carry, Apex trigger. Great combo.
Sigs modular you have way more options for concealment or capacity, no brianer.
I love my p365 axg legion. Springfield's Echelon is a solid gun.
One thing to mention is magazines for sig is 60 bucks. Springfield’s are just over 40. I have the macro. I maybe have 500 rounds through it. Today I had my first malfunction with this gun but it really bothered me. Wondering if anyone else has experience with reliability on the hellcat.
I just put a XL grip on my Marco. Simple. Use 17 for range. However, 8 mags and never got more than 16 into one, ever!
Could you change the trigger on the Hellcat? lf so , what trigger would you switch to?
I bought a p365 years ago and I had the 15rd mags I got an xl grip with my 15rd mags still work and I also got the comp slide and the new romeo x and it is an amazing pair like they said with the hellcat you can choose 15 or 17 if you have the xl grip you get the same choice
I carry with the 15 and have the 17 for backup
I would like to see you 2 shoot the springfield with the 15 rd mag versus the Sig with the 17 rd mag, since you gave the Springfield points for being more compact and versatile. Its not apples to apples until you compare the 2 of them in the configuration that most people will carry them in.
I love the bickering of circle and square 😂
I carry the 365xl and have the macro mags if I want the capacity but if I need it shorter I go back to the flush XL mag
you got wrong label. on the second round you have hellcat label on a sig 365 wiring
The 365 looked noticeably smoother to shoot, and both of you were shooting it twice as fast as the Hellcat.
Hellcat pro is awesome when you get it for $400 new because the local gunstore cant move them as well as they originally thought
I have the Hellcat OSP, to which I added the threaded barrel and comp. My brother has the P365XL. They both perform very well. The Hellcat feels better in my hands. My brother, and my wife, prefer the feel of the Sig.
The you tube Keanu’s meet and made me believe in the Matrix 😂😂😂😂. This was a great pairing let’s keep getting our favorite TH-cam Gun bros from all Channels together.
You may not have noticed a difference on recoil, but you can see it on camera which probably helped your accuracy.
This was one of the funnest guntube videos I've watched in a while
I would agree on the Sig having better sights. However if you’re used to glocks, then you will prolly like the Springfield sights. Ultimately the Sig nights sights are fire !
