exactly! that is a true wise advice. people think the way to avoid toxic relationships is to analize the milion possible red flags, when in reality there is not enough red flags that you can analize in people because the main cause for falling into toxic relationships, is your own wound, just by seeing your own wound you will start to see which things are a reflection of that wound and which things and people are not

My ex was so toxic and I tried to be so patient because of how fucked up her past is but she would constantly get jealous of litterly any other female on my friends list always think I was gunna leave her for another girl and just constantly feeling down about herself and then the last 3 months turns out she was cheating on me lol and I put so much over 2 years she was the first girlfriend I've ever fallin in love with and still do enough to the point I try to help her out once in a while with money cuz yeah her new boyfriend the one she left me for is a fuckin loser with no job and can't even take care of her but I refuse to ever let her back but I will always care about her and love her she just didn't get the love or respect in her past she needed to be a healthy adult for relationships and it sucks

dude, stop wasting your time and energy on that 304, she clearly doesn't care about you and her actions have shown as much. Focus on finding a girl worthy of your wealth and resources, and always remember that relationships won't heal you and that being single won't kill you.

@@xorkoth just because she might not care about him doesn't mean he doesn't care about her

I've raised my mother, now I attract co-dependant adult babies... 😅 I am unsure what to do about this, other than be single.

Well... there's a state called Alaba...
Edit: No, but seriously. It cannot be that hard to fix. Just try to find women of your same age range. Shouldn't be hard.

I agree. I'm currently working with a therapist regarding my childhood experiences. It's only recently where I'm finding healthy men that I'm seeing little defensive traits come out that I learned from childhood. And to be honest, I love being in a mindset to see my flaws now. Before, I was in the most horrifying relationships that their behavior was so overbearing. Taking this time for myself makes me more excited for my future. Processing childhood trauma is essential

A friend of mine learned this the hard way. His first two marriages failed because each time he got involved with a woman who was simply unfit (for moral and/or psychological reasons) to be a stable marriage partner. A counselor finally told my friend that his problem was that he wanted to be a rescuer. That is, just like the gentleman in the video discusses, my friend would see women who were messed up in some way and would want to 'fix' them -- only to find that he couldn't. The result? He went through two extremely painful -- and extremely costly! -- divorces (and in each case, his wife walked out on him, despite his willingness to remain in the marriage). In fact, the counselor even told my friend that it would be better if he allowed other people to choose a spouse for him! Anyway, he is now on his 3rd marriage, and I hope and pray that the saying "third time's the charge" proves true for him.

when you get rid of a savior complex, it becomes very shallow and visible. honestly, most things are transparent during the very first months, they kinda get into your head, yet at first it seems so unimportant and kind of a "one time thing", but if you keep track of them, let the person know and they dont change - you leave
